Both about a boyfriend rushing to find and save his hospital working girlfriend during a zombie outbreak.
The story centers on a girl who is told she only has six months to live. In the spring of her first year of high school, she confessed to a boy who is in the same class, even though it's their first time meeting. The two gradually grow closer as lovers, and on her birthday, they go to see the 'Strawberry Moon', which is said to be a time when you will be forever bound to the person you love if you watch it together.

Similarities:
- Strong and cunning FLs
- Hidden identities/undercover missions
- Espionage
- Political landscapes/schemes
- Mystery
- Poison as tool for control
- Romance built on mistrust and shifting alliances
Differences:
- Tone/genre (MJTY is darker/gothic whereas TPG is more traditional historical)
- Pace of romance (TPG has more push and pull)
- ML personality (MJTY appears more caring/warm on the surface whereas TPG’s ML is feared)

This is more of a warning than a rec, TBH - for those who are NOT into misery porn. These dramas appear to be filled with it (I'm certain on Namib's part, I've already watched it, getting a very similar vibe from The Defects, based on the first two eps).
The plots don't have much in common, except for the anguish element - each of the victims/vigilantes in The Defects seem to be in constant pain (and mental distress) from their experiences, much as the MC of Namib. In both cases, the people responsible for it are people who are supposed to be the characters' best help, parents or legal guardians.
So just an advice - if you're really NOT into watching people suffer through no fault of their own as a main plot device, consider giving these two dramas a pass.

- Tough as nails FL x Green tea ML
- ML pretends to be weak to approach FL
- FL is tough and rough and manhandles ML (she's tougher and meaner in NGNRYCYJ)
- ML has a hidden identity and is secretly strong
- FL saving and protecting ML
- Gender role reversal
It honestly felt like I was watching the modern version of MLG- Wow!

- FL and ML meet in a bar
- ML conceals his identity to get close to FL
- Green Tea MLs
- Cool and atypical FLs (FL in NGNRYCYJ is the stronger and cooler type)
- ML works under FL (Model in NSWWYDXD, waiter in her club in NGNRYCYJ)
- Childhood connection where FL saves ML and he remembers but she forgot
- Gender role reversal (early on in NSWWYDXD, consistently in NGNRYCYJ)
Main differences are that in NSWWYDXD FL takes ML home immediately and they spend the night while in NGNRYCYJ ML keeps trying to approach FL but she rejects his advances.

In this drama, there is also a theme of an allegedly incestuous relationship. The heroine is driven by a desire to avenge her family.
An alleged incestuous relationship is also a plot point here. Both dramas feature heroines who experience amnesia and try to get revenge on their "beloved."
Same cop comedy. If you like one you'll definitely enjoy the other.
In Seoul busters they work together and eventually become a great team whereas in Extreme job they are already a pretty good team according to me.
Both teams are flops at the beginning though.

In both shows, the FL is secretly (due to unbelievable or controversial reasons) protecting and looking after the ML. They both have a school setting, a love triangle, an athlete ML, and really great cinematography. Highly recommend both of these shows.
-similar in concept to the Boxman as he tries to separate himself from the world that he perceives as unfair, too capitalistic.
-Philosophical and psychological ramblings about social control.

Similar themes, about Chinese family bonds/values and also the exact same time period, during the war…. Exploring the KMT, CCP, Japanese invasion, Western influence….. The unique landscape of Shanghai then vs their relationship with ChongQing etc…
Only major difference is the romance theme…. So there is close to none in The Disguiser, and the sets + cinematography is defo of a lower standard….
