Crows Zero (2007)

Both are based in a manga and have similar stories, cool fighting scenes, is set in a school, badass characters and such.

Both are funny yankee shows. This is a little less serious.

Both stories are about school hooligans, yet they show a totally diferent views on the matter.

Is it really about something else than fists?

Crows Zero is even more guilty of this than your typical yankee stuff and Rough Cut involves way more of this image than your typical gangster thing.

If you wanna look at people with horrible hairstyles and sense of style and see a bit of non-committal violence (.. ?! XD) or see someone crash 'cos they don't have their type A license... Search no further.

Both have good music.

The film shows Chan Ho Nam , Chicken Chiu and their friends being recruited by Uncle Bee and joining the "Hung Hing" triad.

Both films, revolve around; High School rivalry, school gangs, action, street fights, delinquents, revenge, violence and crime.

Replace highschool boys with office ladies. Ridiculous over-the-top fighting. Crows has much better cinematography and fight sequences but Office Royale will constantly catch you off-guard.

Both are about fighting/high school gangs.

Both are based on manga, the setting is in high school and include delinquents. Also Oguri Shun has a guest role of Genji Takiya as barber.

There is a lot of fighting going on in both.

Both are stories about young high school Yakuza/Gang members, both have some of Japans favourite male actors in a leading role (Oguri Shun & Matsuda Shota), and both are packed with themes such as friendship, action and subtle humor.
