I will try my best to review this without any spoilers! The story picks up where the drama left off, with the real Nobunaga Oda/ Mitsuhide plotting to kill Saburo with Tokichiro. You could theoretically watch this without seeing the drama and still pick up the story, but I wouldn't suggest it as it could get confusing. Seeing Saburo's character development was a highlight. Watching him run into battles with ease, when at first he would have run away was really nice. His and Kicho's relationship was also beautiful and heartbreaking. Oguri Shun and Shibasaki Kou have such good chemistry, even though the words are never said, you really believe they love each-other.
The acting was as brilliant as it was in the drama. I found myself crying on multiple occasions. Oguri Shun wowed me playing two characters so well, and Yamada Takayuki was amazing in THAT scene at honnoj (If you've watched it, you know the one I mean!). His anguish was so obvious, but not in the classic overacted way Japanese movies so often give us with villains.
Visually the Nobunaga Concerto Movie is amazing. The budget must have been high because the sets, costumes, and effects were all sublime and beautiful. The music was the same soundtrack from the drama, I have no real opinion on it.
Overall, I would probably watch this film again, but not anytime soon as its pretty heavy.

After watching the drama, been doubting myself should I watch this despite having examination? YES!! I watched it and the movie casting has been very excellent. To avoid spoilers, I would say why not watch the drama first then go to movie, so that viewers can get the full joy there. Oguri Shun has been really awesome in this Nobunaga series. His other work such as in Ouroboros and Gintama is great too. And Shibasaki Kou has been REALLY FANTASTIC , DEFINITELY recommended movie.Sorry for short review but I'm in hurry, see ya'll!

Definitely a must watch!
I usually refrained myself from watching SP or movie after a drama ends. Most of my favorite dramas that were continued into SP or movie didn’t end well. But Nobunaga Concerto is a different story. If you watch the drama then you MUST watch the movie. And if you haven’t watch the drama, please watch it first before watching the movie. The movie sets around 9-10 years after the drama, it revolves around the Honnoji incident with Nobunaga (Saburo), Hideyoshi, Mitsuhide and Kichou at the center of the whole plot. Compared to the drama, the movie gives a heavier and darker feel, but you can still feel the happy vibes on some scenes.
You can see how the characters progressed, especially Saburo - I feel proud seeing how much he progressed since the drama ends. His sword skill, his bravery and most of all how he brought himself as a leader.
Oguri and Yamada’s acting gives me chills. You can feel all the emotions overflowing the both of them throughout the movie. Shibasaki’s performance is also remarkable, Oguri & Shibasaki’s chemistry is spot on, even without saying much, you can feel their love is really strong. Overall all the casts are simply amazing.
The ending is hauntingly beautiful - something I couldn’t get out of my mind for days, but possibly the best ending.
Overall I would recommend this movie.
Rewatch? Definitely will. But might not be the kind of movie you want to watch over and over again.
