Truthfully the drama started of slow, but it started to pick up after you got into a few episodes in the drama. I won't say is the best drama ever, but it is not the worst. The story line is a bit weak but the acting is great. WE see the struggles that the protagonist has to go to and you feel a lot of emotions that start to spew up inside of you. I recommend you to grab a box of tissues and keep it beside you because you will mostly be crying all throughout this drama. I recommend this drama to all the drama crazed fans out there.

I watched this drama a long time ago and watched it countless times, and I think it’s still one of the best romance dramas I've ever watched.

Jae Hee is a doctor from a rich family, he is smart, very handsome, headstrong, witty, and never really fallen in love until he meets Geum Soon who turns his world upside down.

Geum Soon is a young widow with one small child, she is a person with a heart of gold. Her husband died in a car accident a few days after they got married and she lives with her in-laws as she was so young at that time and didn’t have a place to go. She never thought she would find love again when she met Jae Hee, and that’s something she fights for wisely and bravely throughout the drama.

This drama has all the elements of a family & love story that will make you cry, laugh, upset and falling in love.

The plot shows you family values that you may find in real life in every family, where morals and ethics are upheld, wrapped up with the unconditional family love.

The love story between Geum Soon and Jae Hee touches the heart, something that I rarely encounter in dramas these days.
I could watch this drama over and over again and never gets tired of it, like a bottle of wine that gets better over the years.

I watched a long time ago. I got this from the library & I said why not. Let's watch this. What I didn't know was that it was 163 episodes. This drama was the longest drama I have ever watched & finished through the end.

I thought the beginning was great. Around the middle was very draggy, very slow. But it was enjoyable. It made me laugh, cry & wanted to punch my tv or laptop out. After watched the dvd I would borrow, I would go to and watch it on my laptop while waiting for the next disk to come. Let me just say that the leads got a happy ending that the deserved after all they went through.

The acting was the best part of the show. Even though this drama was old(2005), the acting was great. I felt for the main female lead so much. She went through so much. There were so much obstacles in her path that I was rooting for her along the way. She grew a back bone along the way as well. The male lead was a typical male lead at first, but he opens up more as he spends time with the female lead & he becomes more likable. There were times where I want to scream in angry with the side characters! I just wanted the female lead to have peace for once.

Music: It was so long ago when I watched so I don't remember the music at all. I remember one of the intermission song that was catchy and the ending one too.

I won't re-watching again. It's 163 episodes. Too long to re-watch.

Overall. I don't recommend this drama if long dramas tend to scare you off. But if you like comedy, melodrama, long dramas & family dramas. Then you might like this one.

One of the draggier ones.........

The drama had no right to be this long for the amount of content it provides. Small limited cast, thin story, some side stories left underdeveloped and eventually were brushed off, limited number of side stories/side couples considering this is a family drama not a makjang. The main story was stretched too thin with extreme drag, 20 episodes can pass without the character making a decision. The kidney plot line was like 60+ episodes or something.

This is one of the most unlikable male leads in a long running drama. The female lead life was falling apart, her mother was on the verge of death, along with a handful of problems from her in-laws, son and grandma. YET despite the ML knowing all of that, the insensitive selfish prick all he care about is himself and no one else. Chasing the female lead, trying to kiss her, pressuring her why she doesn't love him back or marry him. He didn't even care about her son, how can he be a father? Judging by his overall behavior, I doubt their "happily ever after" story would last very long. One more thing, there's absolutely zero chemistry between the leads anyway.

The other male to hate is Noh Tae Wan, he's excessively authoritarian over FL in a seriously creepy and uncomfortable way. Never seen an in-law in k-drama behave this aggressively and obsessively towards a brother's wife. The later plot line about the in-laws arguing over the child was also nauseating, childish and plane stupid.

The drama lacks a lot in general, doesn't deliver a worthy experience and it's a heavy investment to get into, don't watch it unless you care about some of the cast members.
