Lee Se-na is the only daughter from a wealthy background. Because of her pampered upbringing, she believes that she can get anything she wants if she sets her heart to it. She meets Han Seung-Woo, a self-made diplomat, who is not-so-secretly in love with his childhood friend Yoon-su, currently in Japan with her fiance, Seung-Woo's colleague Jin-Hui. Se-na instantly falls in love with Seung-Woo, who asks her what she thinks the meaning of marriage is. In their subsequent marriage, their values are questioned as Se-na's complete trust in Seung-Woo shatters with the realization of Yoon-su's and Seung-Woo's relationship, and Seung-Woo's happiness in marriage shatters with Se-na's deepening mistrust and her own relationship with Jin-Hui. Okay so, first of all I've got to admit that I'm a sucker for marriage romances (that is, marriage coming before love) such as Goong and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. That was what got me to watch Wedding in the first place. Before the main drag of angst which happens in any drama, I felt very highly about it overall. The main female character is strong, not very selfish as I had expected her to be, and the main male character was kind, loveable, everything that the main female character loved and believed in him for. He seemed really good for the main female character. My feelings about these two did not quite change when I got to the angstier part of the drama, but in spite of trying hard to believe in them and the plotline, I was disappointed. I felt like the few main hurtles we had seen coming for them took a lot longer to overcome than they needed to, and throughout that journey the two main characters didn't stick with it -and each other- nearly as much as I had hoped they would. Yet at the same time I had reason to empathize with the feelings of the main female character about the second female character. Speaking of second female character: she was cool, and well acted, but too wishy-washy. Second male character was to me, at first, like an antagonist (I thought he was really going to turn out as a player) but I got to like him and his quirky stolidness as his better side came through.
Conclusion: this drama had the potential of being one of my favorites, but didn't reach that because it kind of copped out in the middle. It didn't disappoint me in the end, but it could have been a lot better overall. There was good chemistry and a lot of uber-sweet moments between the main characters, which almost makes it worth watching again in a few years.

This is a biased review: in no way is this a perfect drama and yet I'm still giving it 10 points. But it is educational about the relationship of love and marriage and kept me entertained all along. As a young girl who doesn't have much experience in love and certainly not in marriage but look forward to it like a dream, I think this drama really shows me how marriage works. It's certainly much more complicated but I'm happy that it breaks my fairy tale bubble.
