Story :
It’s such a good drama. Really. Not just because the actor is Kimura Takuya who I adore the most in my teenage day. LOL. It talks about the traumatic in the brain which caused Ieji lost his memory and saw his present wife and son in a mask. I don't know if that possible in a real world or not, but the idea is interesting enough for me. Well, the lack of detail for me is just that they don’t really explain why Ieji saw a mask on his wife and son face (even the silliest explanation). I know it's the side effect of the accident, but why mask? Why not something else? But after all, it’s good movie ^_^

Acting/Cast :
Kimura Takuya acting is not something for debated or questioned, he can be anyone he told to be ^_^ As for Ueto Aya, I can't clearly seen her acting in this drama because most of the time she wore a mask.. ^_^;

Nice premises with bad execution

I watched this drama while it was released because i am big fans of Kimura Takuya and Ueto Aya. The story was quite promising and interesting but it started to lose the rhythm while they shows the "plot twist". Kimura Takuya is still serving in here but his emotion range was quite limited compared to his previous drama. While Ueto Aya was barely exist because she was wearing mask (and pregnant on that time her bulge was quite obvious). The chemistry is obviously limited since they are estranged couple. And I quite love their Opening song and Video, quite simple but memorable.

Character wise, Hisashi was obviously not good man and his amnesia trop is just facade for his previous memories and knows what he had really done to his previous family and his daughter while he using his current wife and neglected his son. I quite like how Megumi attitude toward Hisashi ex wife and knows her position. Ieji's first wife trop was quite sad and the ending was too bittersweet. I quite hate episode 7-8 that's why i rate this drama only 5.5 and that man character is pissing me. P

I quite like how they show the office trop while i was barely student so i got some big clue about how workplace world would be and the politics were quite dirty. But they rushed the trop into last episode is make this drama too messy.

Unfortunately this is not the best Ueto Aya and Kimura Takuya works.

We're all busy trying to build our future, but sometimes we forget to appreciate the people who are already in our lives. Watching the main character slowly rediscover his family and realize the mistakes he made before his accident was both heartbreaking and inspiring.

Takuya Kimura gave an amazing performance. I could really feel his confusion, guilt, and determination to become a better person. The mystery surrounding his lost memories kept me interested, but what stayed with me the most was the emotional journey rather than the plot twists.

The pacing is definitely slower than most dramas I usually watch, so it might not be for everyone. However, I think the slower pace gives the characters room to grow and makes the emotional moments feel more genuine. Every episode revealed another piece of the story, making me want to keep watching.

One thing I really liked was that the drama doesn't paint people as simply good or bad. Everyone has flaws, regrets, and reasons behind their actions, which made the characters feel realistic. It reminded me that people can change if they're willing to face their past and make better choices.

Overall, I'm Home is a thoughtful and emotional drama about family, forgiveness, and finding yourself. It's not packed with action or romance, but it leaves a lasting impression because of its heartfelt storytelling. I finished the series feeling grateful for the people around me and realizing that sometimes the hardest journey is learning who we really are.

Profundo

Quem diria que I'm Home seria tão bom? Eu mesma não esperava. O pôster estranho somado às tags me fizeram imaginar uma história completamente diferente, e mesmo quando comecei a assistir, achei que seria outra coisa. Mas conforme a trama se desenvolveu, fui positivamente surpreendida e profundamente tocada.

A premissa é riquíssima em carga emocional: um homem sofre um acidente e perde a memória dos últimos cinco anos. Além disso, ele passa a enxergar uma máscara nos rostos da esposa e do filho, incapaz de ver suas expressões.

O drama é repleto de metáforas e analogias — a máscara, claro, é a principal delas —, e a cada episódio acompanhamos o protagonista em uma jornada intensa de autoconhecimento.

Ao descobrir fragmentos do seu passado, ele se dá conta, junto conosco, de que era uma pessoa horrível: egoísta, egocêntrico, incapaz de ver de verdade quem estava ao seu lado. Sua trajetória é marcada por dor, arrependimento e autoconsciência, é uma história de redenção genuína, construída com muita sensibilidade. Ver ele tentando, finalmente, conhecer a esposa e o filho (pessoas que antes ele mal enxergava) foi emocionante.

A escolha do ator principal não poderia ter sido melhor. Para mim, o Kimura é o melhor ator do Japão. Sua atuação é tão precisa e natural que, nas cenas que retratam o passado, parecia realmente uma outra pessoa, tamanha a transformação entre o "eu" antigo e o atual.

Claro que o drama não é perfeito. Apesar da premissa poderosa, alguns personagens secundários ficaram aquém, especialmente aqueles usados para "alívio cômico", que destoavam do tom sério e melancólico da história. O último episódio também foi um pouco apressado, e certos pontos ligados à empresa mereciam uma explicação mais cuidadosa. Ainda assim, esses problemas são detalhes frente ao todo.

Me apaixonei por essa história. Chorei em muitas cenas e me envolvi profundamente com a trajetória do protagonista, especialmente na parte mais importante de todas: sua tentativa sincera de reconstruir a relação com a esposa e o filho — a retirada das máscaras foi tão comovente que duvido me esquecer tão cedo dessa cena.

I'm Home é sobre recomeços, redenção e o poder de enxergar verdadeiramente aqueles que amamos. Recomendo muito (mas preparem os lencinhos, vão precisar).
