+1 Good Male Perspective of Story
+1 Great Sentimental feel to the story
+1 Interesting but not amazing story line. (I mean of course, memory loss is a classic reoccuring theme in dramas)
+1 Music was enjoyable but not memorable or something I'd look up on youtube to add to my playlist
+1 Good enough flow, consistency and transition
+1 Female lead was gorgeous
+1 Impactful story, theme and drama in general but it's not your typical popular hit
-1 Mundane and mellow... (I think this is a melodrama though yes?)
-1 Slow paced towards the end
-1 Get to the point ya'll
I didn't hate it but I didn't love it either. I watched it because I admire Jo Jin Mo and of course, he did not disappoint me. No I would not rewatch this. It was a nice two day break drama to watch while I wait for other currently airing dramas to air. (Yes, 16 ep dramas are a piece of cake in two days for me)

(My Love Eun Dong) is the story of that sweet , pure , everlasting love of childhood which has been lost in the cruel hands of TIME ! But after 10 years , amazingly , finds a way to bloom again !
STORY : (7/10)
The story is ... sweet but NOT A BRAND NEW IDEA ! We've seen tons of First-love romances both in Korean's and non-Korean's cinema industry !
Despite this fact , we can find a different and fresh atmosphere in their childhood and teenage love story. Their relationship is somehow-unique from the start and I loved this fact ! It begins better than the way it continues (I think it's the most important fact of this drama) !
When the characters grow up they have almost no relation to their past , neither in their personality features nor their appearances ! I know people change a lot as they grow but it's very important for the stories that travel through time , to let the audiences feel the similarity in different aspects so they can say the grown-up characters are the same person ! The story losts it's suspension after 7 episodes which could be replaced with some more emotional roller-coasters ! The story somehow gets boring cause it tries so HARD to become realistic by being filled with routine life moments !
ACTING : (7.5/10)
Joo Jin Mo is PERFECT as he always is ! I do appreciate his acting so much ! He always gets drown in his role , makes you feel you're watching his real life not an artificial melodrama ! He transfers any kind of emotion from his soul ! His acting makes you laugh and cry with him ! His character in this drama is so active and filled with emotions and he did a great job !
Kim Sa Rang is good ... but I'm afraid her acting is not really , suitable as Joo Jin Moo's lady !!!
It's clear how much she tries to make her acting more and more moving but unlike Joo Jin Mo whose role gives his all to be with his one and only love , she seems cold blooded at some points !
I'm not saying she was bad but she couldn't impress you neither as a lover nor a mother !
Another choice (instead of Kim Sa Rang) could help this drama develop a lot !
Kim Tae Hoon , His acting is really good and admirable but his character seems confusing ! Is he a miserable handicapped ?! A psycho who made VERY BIG LIES to live with the woman he loved and even tried to kill himself ?! Or the best father in the world ?!!! Eventually his unknown yet sensitive character is cruely LEFT aside as he never existed ! (This is what annoyed me the most in this drama)
MUSIC : (7/10)
Good soundtracks ! Still there were some dramatic scenes which needed more dramatic music !
Rewatch Value : (5/10)
I'm not planning to watch it again ! but anyone who like first-love melodramas might give it another try
The ending is ... logical but not satisfying for it's hot story ! It's might be good at some points but won't impress you a lot , for sure !
For romantic-melodrama fans , it's a realistic , sweet love story you would like ! so give it a try specially if you're Jo Jin Moo's fan like me ;)
Final word : reviewing is mostly about comparing ! So nothing is 100% in this world as well as this review ,It's only written comparing with other dramas/movies and it's rated toward my other ratings for other worse or better dramas/movies !
Thanks for reading my words ! Bye ^_^

Perfection For The Romantic In You.
Where do I start, a truly timeless love story that will stand the test off time.My one tiny gripe is I wanted more of the first couple, that should have been 2 episodes at least.
The second couple the male actor was a little lacking in visuals.
The director as usual struggled a bit in the 3rd act which is par for the course.
I would have loved to see a wedding or pictures at least.
Maybe a few episodes the couple and son trying to reconstitute their family and the struggles they probably will face.
Overall everything was excellent, The three female actors were perfection in casting, the male lead’s sister was gorgeous.
I loved that the director and script writer kept it simple and linear with no new fangled techniques.
The ingredients/story-idea a 10
The kitchen/script a 10
The restaurant /production-value a 10
The service/waiters/actors a 10+
The chef/director a 10

Evil people
I am in love with the story. This love story takes place from childhood to teenage years to adulthood. (Well the love story began when they were in their late teens. They were just friends when they were younger)The FL story was quite sad this lady basically lost half of her life all because of some selfish, narcissistic, manipulative, piece of ****. I loved the actors who played the ML and FL in their college years and I was hoping that in the future they could get a show together.
Anyways the SL should just burn in hell and dieeee. I hate that mother******** so much up until this day when I see him in a show he pisses me off. The father is a next johncrow. So the SL wanted the FL since high school, however, the FL was only interested in the ML. Because the father wanted to go further in baseball he was basically pimpimg out his adopted daughter. So one day the FL and ML were out on a date and the FL left to get something she bump into the SL who forced her to get into his car. The FL was adamant that she did not want him he decided well if I can't have you no one can and started driving faster which resulted in an accident. The SL was crippled (he should have died) hence hindering his baseball career. The Fl lost her memory and she was pregnant with the ML child.
The SL and the adopted father decided that they will trick the FL into thinking the SL and FL were high school sweethearts and the baby was the SL.
Fast forward years later the ML was looking for the FL so he decided to write a book. But he needed a writer so he would send information and the writer writes it. The FL was the writer. If I typed longer I will probably write out the entire show.
Just embrace yourself for the anger and frustration plus the little cute moments, plus the anger and frustration.
I am not rewatching that show unless the SL miraculously dies 😊😊

Supporting cast was excellent - Kim Yoo-ri in her usual role as a "B". Kim Tae-Hoon as the bad guy whho simply misunderstood.
Score was poignant at just the right moments with great clarinet soul.
Could have been one of the GREAT melodramas in KDrama Land except the ending fell totally and completely flat. Did the writers quit after Episode 14? Still one of the best of 2016. I have rewatched this twice already. If you like angst and yearning this one is for you!

An absolute riot of tropes
My Love Eun Dong epitomizes everything that makes kdramas a unique art form. It is simultaneously hilariously eye-rolling and warmly engaging. It is an absolute riot of tropes: Fated love, rich boy/poor girl, amnesia, insane coincidences, and a love triangle are all there. Scenes are filled with piggyback rides and wrist grabs, shared umbrellas, bullying and bitch slaps. Everyone will know from the very first episode how it all will end, but the journey is enjoyable nonetheless. None of the villains seem too unbeatable and none of the obstacles feel completely insurmountable. It is impossible not to pull for the two star-crossed lovers. The title “My Love Eun Dong” is a phrase that appears several times in the second half, and it is a touching sentiment. This isn’t a great drama by any means, but I really liked it for what it is.Was this review helpful to you?
