"It Gets Better" is shot beautifully; everything from cinematography, sets, locations, costumes are of very high standards. The story is in three segments. The first is about a young man coming back to Thailand from the USA to inherit his father's gay bar. The second is about a young boy who is caught dressing in women's clothes, and he gets sent to a Buddhist temple for repentance. The third is about a woman who goes to a remote village, but is mistaken for a thief. These stories are all very touching and engaging. It brings to the surface the desires and needs of people, being they physical or emotional. Edit Translation

Do not be deceived by the poster. I really thought it was one mediocre of a movie until I finally gave it a go. The acting was good and so was the story. Like it's title, it kept getting better as the movie progressed. The full circle of the story was heartbreaking, but there is an intangible satisfaction to it.
I've been planning to watch this movie for a while, but after watching it i am actually stunned.
It's so much better then you would think by seeing the plot and the poster.
I think the whole storyline is really strong, it starts off quite easy but interweaves more as the movie progresses.
It shows some of the hardships that transgender people might get through in their lives, and even though i know that life never is easy, it shows how much worse it can actually be and makes me realise so many hardships some people face every day.
I'm not gonna lie, by the end of the movie i was really bawling my eyes out as it takes an emotional toll.
The story is beautiful and strong and i think the actors did an AMAZING job in portaying the characters, i'm still quite stunned while writing this.
Rewatch vallue is deffinetly high i would rewatch this anytime as it's an amazing movie, and makes me grounded and more aware of hardships. <3
