Alchemist (2015)

This mini drama is about a female student (Youngji) who literally signs away her ability to date, so she has an excuse to hang out with her crush- the president of the Alchemist Club. The Alchemist Club believes that dating is useless and that you can only succeed in the corporate world if you don't date and focus on your studies.
This drama is a perfect way to spend 4 hours in cute cheesy fluffiness.
Youngji plays a really cute and funny female lead. Her character is really determined and a bit desperate in a hilarious way. She really wants to find true love and doesn't care if the man she likes isn't interested in dating. She just wants to be around him.
There are great supporting characters in this drama, that at the end you are sad to see go. (Although I was happy to see the professor go---bore).
The music is really great. The drama mixes in a bunch of Kpop and English pop into every episode. I found myself discovering a few new great songs.
I honestly rewatch the last 3 episodes a lot. The middle of the drama can be a bit slow (although the episodes are only 15 minutes long), but it pays off in the end.

This web - drama was unexpected in so many ways. I started watching it to while away time before i fell asleep but once i started i was hooked. This web - drama had all the cute, sweet and cheesy moments i needed after watching angel eyes. It had just enough fluff to satisfy me. Firstly the number of cast members were small enough for me to understand each character relatively well. This web - drama really laid out the irony of life for me. Although, for me this web - drama could have been an episode or two longer answering a few questions they left unanswered and explaining some conclusions they derived. Secondly, the music!!!!!!!! This drove me absolutly insane, i've never seen a korean show use both international and local music as well as this web - series achieved it. Some sections i rewatched just because the music was that on fleek. The music to me was an extra character i wanted to listen too it and watch it for 10 season more. The music crew really did well. Finally, the rewatch value... I'm about to watch it all over again thats all i can say. I hope everyone sees the beauty in this show. I feel if it was a full blown drama wit 16 episodes at 1+ hours for each episode it would have been way too draggy. I Appreciated the sweet short beauty of this web - drama.

I'm surprised the rating for this is so low because it's actually a bit better than other web dramas I've seen. Obviously there's a very simple plotline and a common message at the end — but ultimately the pacing was pretty good and things made sense.

It definitely took a while to get into, and honestly I was annoyed by the main character who was just overly boy-crazy right off the bat and talking about how she only attended college to find a boyfriend. It's also pretty obvious that it's Young-ji's acting debut — it wasn't the worst, but there was definitely a lot of bad overacting and it made the character seem super pouty and whiny all of the time.

I also don't know how I happened to get second lead syndrome in such a short amount of time but it happened.

This is now literally one of those cute-little-stupid dramas.

A very short, but cute (and stupid) drama (at the same time). Full on romance, with a very fast fall-in-love story line for the main characters. I loved the other couples more, as their stories had a more realistic pace.

I won't say that I wasted my time but maybe also not wisely.

I'm not sure if there was a lesson to be learn from this drama, but what I did get was 'that you win some and you loose some', not everything when it comes to the matter of the heart or brain, will go according to our plans.

Ahh, my beginnings. This drama was trending when I first started to watch kdramas. It was very hard to find, but thank god for youtube. I was, unfortunately, let down. I did not understand the point of the story. The fast pace, short episode and scattered production contributed to my boredom and confusion while watching this.  The cast and/or characters were forgettable, the only character that possibly stood out was Byeong Ho by Kim Jong Hoon, sadly his character was not explored good enough and had little screen time. The story was boring and I will most certainly not watch this again. I would not recommend.

Just finished watching this and hm... this drama is kinda boring. Although each ep is only 15-ish minutes, I still feel bored watching it. I skipped quite a lot of parts while watching....

Actually, I love the overall idea of the drama. However, I feel like 12 episodes might be too long. I could not see any big problem(s) in the drama and the main problem itself could actually be solved within 5 eps max? In fact, from ep 1 - 9, I could not see any emotion development between the main leads. And to be honest, I am much more interested in the side characters (including the professors) instead of the main characters.

If u are looking for a meaningful and a drama that will leave an impression on you after you finish watching, I do not really recommend this drama. But nevertheless, this may only be my personal opinion hehe

PS: I love the shy guy and the insomnia guy. Hope to see them in more dramas in the future! >.<

Story:
The story is okay. Again there is story between a girl, who has fallen in love with a boy who is cold hearted. But this time difference is that, the boy is against the relationship commitment. And no plot twists.

Acting/ Cast/Characters:
What I did not like about this drama is that, the girl tries to do anything to catch the guys attention and she even joins the club the boy is in.
I can’t say much about acting too. Yes there were some enjoyable moments but over all the characters where quite annoying.
