I love romances and melodramatic stuff and this had the right amount of it.
It is a really sad story with bits of passion, crime, love, suffering, revenge, repentance, compassion...was such a mixture of feelings!
The scenes were so well done, the actors had such a great chemistry...and had that feeling of realness, not just the lovey-dovey stuff but also all the pain that we all have in life was present.
Great!

What is love anyway?Seriously what is this? The definition and application of love is distorted in this drama. -.-
So without any spoilers, let me tell you what is actually the matter with this drama..
- A bunch of guys who keeps on making bad decisions after bad decisions and continuing their mistakes
- A suffering poor girl
-Teardrops everywhere...
Do not get me wrong.even though I really don't like it, I know how to appreciate a tragedy. The problem with this one is the male lead's actions are way too meaningless. The whole thing sometimes screamed like "sorry, but the screenwriters want it this way!" No logic, just a forced character who enjoys torturing himself.
Yes, the story may be well thought in the beginning but then later on I questioned what's the point of it or is there a point after all.

Well for who love Melodramas with sad ending this is on of the best.
PROS:
1-Focused on the romance without going into details like business or boxing or acting as they are the jobs of the main actors in the drama
2-The ending is very convenient to the story it can't be better.
3-Strong emotion and superior performance of actors and actresses.
CONS:
1-SAD
2-Sometimes the story is not clear.
In the end I have to say I never liked Shin Min Ah but she was really amazing of course as usual Rain is my favorite with his powerful performances all the time.
This drama I watched it because I wanted to feel the romance as it's been a while I watched such touching drama.
Thaanks for reading...hope you enjoooy. :-)

I'm not really a fan of Rain, but his performance was great (not the best thought) and Shin Min Ah is pleasant to watch as always.
This is certainly one of the saddest drama that I've seen, I could feel the pain like it was my own story, because how well it was done.
I liked the beginning and the ending too, this drama really helps you to remember that life can be harsh.
I don't think that I'll rewatch it a lot because like I said it's sad so I don't want to be depressed lol.
That's a must watch!

One thing that I love of this drama is the poetic power of the scenes, the combination of music-view and a perfect symbolic charge of many moments (as the very first scene, one of the best introductions to a drama I've seen, where Rain's ans Shi Min Ah's characters are laying surrounded by the nature but in different scenery and a wonderful play of light and a deeply touching song make you feel the complicated fate laying in the atmosphere; or, for example, their arms protruding through an open window, capable to transmit the sensation of wind even to a spectator). The story itself, as I've said, is really quite predictable but it's emotional tension is at the point (I don't speak only about the central love story but also about brothers relationship, especially then one of them is disabled).
The acting of the main characters is wonderful. To tell the truth, I'm not a fan of Rain as his characters usually look silly to me but here I can give him 10 points without any doubt. He's complicated, mysterious, attractive, charismatic and moving in this drama. An absolutely flawless acting. Then he feels pain, you can really believe in it (in other dramas I've seen with this actor, unfortunately, I felt a lack of moving strength). It's also my favorite role of Shin Min Ah. She's really very convincing and charming here.
The soundtrack is also absolutely perfect to the drama and one of the best I've ever heard in an Asian drama. Also, somehow the drama has a certain integrity, a strong and captivating atmosphere. It's really worth to watch, although the rating is suspiciously low :O

Infuriating
Had I watched this when I was younger, I might have actually liked it. It has all the elements of a kdrama that I normally love. However, it just didn't work for me.The main reason I disliked this drama, is because I don't buy the love between Bokgu and Eunseok. From her side, yes, I do believe it. Bokgu came at just the right time for her to fall in love with him. She'd just been disappointed by her first love as she believes he's extorting her for money. And she's stuck in a situation she has very little control over. Since she's engaged to someone not by her own choice. Of course, she falls for the handsome bodyguard, who somehow manages to do all the little things her first love did for her. And who becomes a sort of refuge for her. Her way of acting out against the predicament she's in.
But I don't buy his love for her. In the scenes leading up to the big reveal, I simply don't read his actions as that of a man in love. Though she obviously loves him, the same feelings are not visible in him. And after the reveal, they barely spend any time together.
I also hate the way they've completely removed any agency on Eunseok's part. She's the damsel in distress through and through. She doesn't take any actions to try and resolve her problems. She's supposed to be helpless, but I can think of a number of different things she could have done to get herself out of her engagement. But she doesn't do anything, which leads to bigger consequences for her, when she finally does stand up for herself.
As for the ending, I don't hate it. The only thing that really bugs me about it is the redemption her fiancé got. He should have been punished for his actions, which were vile. Had this drama given him a bit of poetic justice, perhaps I would've liked it more. As it is, the good people got pain and suffering, and the bad ones got their happily ever after.
Truly an infuriating drama. There are better love-revenge dramas out there.

It is a melodrama so certain clichés are expected. Fortunately the writer/s of this drama do not delve so long or deep into cliché-land that viewers are put off and thank goodness there is zero percent memory loss involved. They hit emotional notes almost always on time and refrain from dragging out plot points past endurance. My only complaint is the number of times certain situations are repeated again and again.
Also, if you noticed a similar vibe to dramas ‘Sorry I Love You’, ‘Sang Doo Let’s Go To School’, ‘Thank You’ or ‘Will It Snow At Christmas’, that’s because those dramas along with ‘A Love To Kill’ are all written by Lee Kyung-hee. I was surprised to learn this because most of those dramas are melodramas I actually like- guess I’m just a big Lee Kyung-hee fan ^_-
(All the above is originally from my blog review/article on the drama)

the acting was v. good. it was my first time to watch Rain, and he is really a V. good actor if somewhat exaggerating specially in the beginning.
the female lead Shin Min was even better.
one of the things that i really liked in this drama is that the character of the female lead was really lovable. you can easily believe why all those 3 men loved her. which is something rare in dramas.
but what i really hated about it is that they never give the character of the male lead a break. not even in one scene!! if you are going for a sad end make it a little cheerful through out the drama or lighten things up and give the leads a break. but if it is gonna be a crying drama give us the viewer a break and make it a happy ending :(
it is an emotional and sad drama but i liked it and i don't want to watch it again unless someone tells me that i get it wrong and it was a happy ending.
another thing i really loved about this drama beside the sad love story is The MUSIC, it was great.

Love by The Dozens
I thought the first 20 minutes of the drama were teasers but they were more like an irrelevant montage or a pseudo trailer. The opening scene gave a good sample of what to expect going forward. The entire drama was structured like an extremely cliche melodrama montage. The type of montage you see other dramas reference when showing a melodrama broadcasting on TV. That's why it's necessary to suspend your disbelief and abandon any sense of logic or common sense. hat's also why we got whatever ending that even was. It's one of the most extreme melo cliches that it can just be labeled as a parody. During its earlier episodes, the drama had too many of these loosey camera angles from the 2000s which were entertaining to watch combined with its ridiculous moments. Was this review helpful to you?
Acting : I dont remember why rain was my favorite actor in my childhood. after watch this drama, i remember it. he is an amazing actor. i really feel the pain that main character feel in this drama. and shin min ah, i think this is her early drama, so i dont expecting too much from her, but in the end i really like her acting. kim sa rang, i never watch his drama before. but one of the reason i keep watch this drama is because of her. and kim kwang min, i really feel the bromance from this drama because of him.
Music : even i focus to the story, but i admit the ost is so good. for me, this is how romance drama ost in the past should be like.
rewatch value : If my friend want to watch this drama, i dont have any problem to watch this with them. its good for watch it once. its okay to re-watch it again.
overall : but this is really a beautiful drama.
