THIS IS SUCH A GOOD DRAMA.

Story: It's so balanced and the pacing is just perfect. The story is about the family as a whole and the hardships and daily stuff they go through. It's reality, honestly, and it's well planned out. The plot connects and flows perfectly as a whole. There is comedy and it's a very refreshing, fun drama.

Cast: The actors and actresses blew this drama off! They are soooooo good! I sometimes forget they're acting because I'm so convinced that they're actually a family haha.

Music: The music is ok, nothing notable but it's nice to listen to.

Rewatch Value: I would rewatch this.
Overall: I really recommend this to people who are looking for a good family drama. I think this is the perfect drama for people who are wanting a good, refreshing family drama. :)

How do I explain this?
Moonlight resonance was basically my childhood life. I watch this so many times that I can't keep track anymore. I would always watch this with my family over mid autumn festival since this is about mooncakes. Those were great heartwarming memories.

The story is perfect. It's a long journey but a worthwhile one. Trust me, it teaches great lessons n it's so meaningful. We were a big family, but separated, grew up, cared about each other, have our careers, survive in the real world, try to get together, try to reunite our parents n family. We find love n we cherish each other. We fight for our family n we have a reunion!!

The acting was beyond fabulous. All the actors and actress are impressive cuz everyone has experience. They're all the big names of hk industry. All the younger actors have became famous nowadays. Everything was speechlessly perfect!!

These actors can act n sing as the ost was amazing!!

I watched this so many times n I still miss It!! It is so funny, lovely, heartbreaking, frustrating, heartwarming, typically super masterpiece!!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This review may contain spoilers

I have rewatched this show so many times that I've lost count.

Let's just start off with the negatives that is the weird family dynamics in the romance department.

When Michelle Yim's character Yan Hong married Ha Yu's character Gan Tai Cho, her daughter Linda Chung's character Yu So Sum becomes the step daughter of his and subsequently the step sibling of his children, one of them being Raymond Lam's character Kam Wing Ho. In the end these two, Yu So Sum and Kam Wing Ho ended up as a couple.

The other weird couples being Moses Chan's character's Kam Wing Ka dating Tavia Yeung's character Suen Hou Yuet. Although Ah Yuet is adopted, they were still sliblings for the longest times and it feels kinda weird. Last one is Kate Tsui's character Lo Ka Mei dating both Kam Wing Ka (Moses's character) and Chris Lai's character Kam Wing Yuen who are blood related brothers. Lo Ka Mei is also technically their cousin but I guess because they have no blood relation, it's fine (?)

Now on to the good parts finally.

The story writing and plot is simply fabulous. There were comedy, emotional scenes, and the acting makes everything so great, especially the emotional scenes with Ha Yu's character. He deserves the best actor of the year award back then. Michelle Yu also did an amazing job portraying the antagonist of the drama. She's very good at these conflict heavy scenes and her acting is brilliant. Also Susanna Kwan, she brought in comedy, made people hate her but at the same time sympathises with her towards the end, like Michelle she is also amazing at conflict heavy scenes, she was also the one singing the title song of the drama which I love.

I just want to take a quick moment to appreciate Kam Wing Ho. He is easily the best character of the show in my opinion. He is kind and protective especially towards his family. When Ah Yuet went missing, he literally searched day and night for her. He literally gave up his studies and opportunities to help out his family. He simply amazing.

This drama has a high rewatch value for me personally. It's somehow still so good and refreshing even after the 7th time, I don't know how they do it. This drama and the whole series of 溏心风暴 was so iconic and enjoyable, maybe except the 3rd one, that was underwhelming.

I would highly highly recommend anyone to check it out. Even if you're not a big fan of family dramas, it is so very good.
