I like representation, I guess
I'm always happy for LGBTQ+ representation so I completed the drama and enjoyed it for that aspect. I also liked the very strong 'love is love' message too.The acting is good and there are some very cute scenes so I think it's worth watching for that aspect if that's up your street.
However, on the whole the whole thing was kind of... meh?
1. The whole thing felt unbearingly rushed. I understand that it's a short drama so had to be, but there was absolutely no build up, no suspense, no drama. Because it was soooooo rushed, the characters' motivations also seemed non-existent, and they are ALL kind of one dimensional (including main characters).
2. I often choose specifically to watch dramas with characters that know I'll dislike as I find it interesting. This time I disliked the characters but I think I was meant to like them. Incredibly selfish but they don't seem to understand why they're selfish.
It's representation though lmao

Fell in LOVE
My first girls love drama.First of all i want to talk about acting, They were so cute, the acting of the main leads was amazing especially Yui (older sister with short hair), it was like she was made for that character. Fell in love with her.
Story was good, it was wholesome and touching. The ending was perfect. I definitely recommend everyone to watch it.

My first lesbian drama I guess?
So, yes, as I mentioned—this is my first lesbian drama. I've watched gay dramas before but lesbian was a first and this looked pretty decent so I wanted to gave a try.Well, now, where to start..the storyline was nothing much, just okay–ish I guess(?) There wasn't any incest here because their parents haven't yet registered their marriage yet but somehow it was still odd to watch this plot.
At some point, I felt like the girls were a little selfish because their parents fell for eachother first and wanted to have a nice family but the girls kept doing all the stuff in secret when they didn't even knew how things would end up for them and for their parents. I just felt a little uncomfortable I suppose.
Yui was shown as mature and I mean she should be the mature one but I guess since it was the first time she ever felt this way, she was confused and lost as well because she herself said that she don't do if she likes both men and women.
Apart from this, the first kiss was really..um weird? Like girl just out of nowhere kissed her supposedly step-sister who was pissed at her?? T-T
Sigh, moving on, the acting was pretty well done I'd say. I really liked Nao's character too. Poor guy.
I don't really remember the music much since I watched on 2x speed most of the episodes. It was decent and calm I think.
About rewatching it, I prolly won't but it's not too bad. Again all of this my own review and I do not intend to hurt anyone's feelings with this.

Some really mixed feelings about this one.
Part of me really liked this show. The visuals were lovely, the writing was great, the acting was absolutely stellar, and the production value overall was clearly high.So why did I dock it so many points then? Well, there were unfortunately some real consent issues between the main couple.
Let me elaborate:
First, there is the age difference. True, it may just be 3 years, but the maturity levels between an 18 year old and a 21 year old are still vastly different which leads to a power imbalance in the relationship. I will say, that this power imbalance was not really very present with these two, especially during the second half of the series so I ended up feeling significantly less put off by the whole thing, but it's still worth considering if you're sensitive to these concerns.
The second and much bigger problem was the way Yui treated Sayuri at the beginning of the show. She showed very little regard for Sayuri's boundaries and there were two dub-con/non-con kisses which is always a big red flag for me.
On the other hand, once Sayuri actually initiated a proper relationship in the second half of the show, their dynamic was incredibly loving and respectful and I found myself genuinely invested in their relationship and how authentic it felt.
It was also incredibly refreshing to see young women, specifically young queer women, talk about sex and intimacy so openly and without shame, massive props to the screenwriters for that.
The supporting cast, specifically the two parents and Sayuri's friend Nao, were also brilliant and each added to the story line in meaningful ways rather than just existing to create conflict between the two leads.
In conclusion I am incredibly conflicted in my feelings about this show. I would however still recommend giving it a try. Everyone's mileage varies when it comes to what they find acceptable in relationships, so someone who is less bothered by the issues I brought up might really enjoy this show.
And those who are bothered might still end up getting something out of the experience of watching, just like I did. When the series does something right, it does it *really* right, which is an especially pleasant surprise given the time period during which the show aired, so for that alone I consider it worth watching.
Give it a go and form your own opinion, good or bad, this show is definitely worth talking about.

It was a good watch.
This drama was pretty good! The main couple was very cute and had good chemistry. The plot kept you interested and watching, making it the perfect show to binge watch (I watched it in one sitting). It would have been better if the episodes were longer as it was a bit fast paced. Like, I felt the love confession was too fast and some of the storylines didn't make sense. But, for what it is, it was good and I'm glad to see the representation.
Overall, it was a cute watch to kill time. I recommend if you have nothing to watch.

Slow and Fast
I felt like the episodes moved slowly but the relationship made huge steps that we don't fully see. The romance started fast IMO, I didn't understand where the attraction started from. It was an abrupt end then reunite. We don't see much if anything of the relationship between the parents. If we saw more of their relationship it could have a stronger impact when the step sister love was discovered and the reuniting.Overall the show played it safe. The acting was good and I do enjoy the romance that we got. everything felt good including the music.
I recommend watching this show.

It's a nice dorama that felt a bit rushed and had bad music
I don't know how I stumbled upon this dorama but I decided to watch it because it had cute vibes.Overall, I really liked it; it's a cute story, the acting is good and it's an easy watch. But because it's so short, everything felt a bit rushed which made it a bit flat in some moments in which there could have been more depth to the story if the time had allowed it. However, I still enjoyed watching it and it was refreshing. I guess being a sucker for LGBT+ representation has to do with it though.
I always pay a lot of attention to soundtracks but not everyone does so this opinion might not make a difference for many who read this. I hated the music. Hated it. It felt out of place and played at random times and it didn't hep at all with the flow of the story. It just didn't go well with the aesthetics of the show.
As for rewatching it, I don't think I will ever do it. But who knows, maybe I'll be feeling down one day and in need of cute girls loving each other and give it another go.
Anyways, if you like cute GL stories and want a quick and easy watch, I'd say sure go ahead and watch it!

Transit Girls is the best love story
Transit Girls is the best love story you will come across in such a short format. Possibly in any format. Everyone in the story is a fully formed 3-dimensional character. It does not rely on stereotypes of any kind or typical LGBT story lines. They will make you laugh and cry and they will warm your heart in places you didn't know existed. Many LGBT stories attempt to teach a lesson of some sort, this story shows you what can happen if you have already learned those lessons. Its a true joy from beginning to end. Yui and Sayuri will live happily and rent free in your heart for a long time. Was this review helpful to you?
More like a movie than a TV series
Slow down before watching this, because it doesn't have the fast pace and fast cuts of a lot of TV or web series. It is much more cinematic, with static shots, transitions where characters are going somewhere, and silent pauses. But those all work to set up fast-paced scenes later in the story. We know which stairs go to school and which go to the shrine.Even the colors are subdued, none of the bright "pop" we are used to. But this and the quiet all work for these two introverted, hesitant girls.
The eight roughly 20 minute episodes provide just enough space for the story. I wouldn't make it longer or shorter.
I wish there were more series like this.
But if anybody could explain why it is titled "Transit Girls", I'd love to know, because that doesn't make any sense to me. I was expecting bus rides or something, I guess.
