The novel is based in China and drama is Taiwan. Similar to Addicted heroine, it is a story of two step-browser.
Slow paced and beautiful. Enemy to lover concept like addicted and blah blah blah, just watch and it's perfect.

From what i know this is the first adaptation of the same novel Addicted Heroin was based on. It’s definitely worth a watch, as the show does some things differently compared to the Thai adaptations. It was also one of the first BL's i watch and really got me in to BL's. The same storyline as the thai version (because based on same book), however it is cut short and left on cliffhanger due to chinese censorship/ banning from showing.

Both are bls showing the suburbs, the poorer areas, not the glowy parts if the city. They are slice of life and the plot is pretty subdued at times. also both show conflicts with their parents and just a relationship naturally progressing.
In both the film and the drama the main protagonists are high school students. One of the two always sleeps in class. At first they hate each other, but then they get closer and end up living in the same class.
Both main couples have a similar attack-defend dynamic, and there's quite a bit of aggression bordering on dubcon.
It's basically the continuation story of Second Couple, Yangmeng & You Qi(you ki) Couple. Idk it's following the same book of Addicted or not(i guess not bc this couple is rarely have story in novel) but it's continuation of that character (even the actor is the same in Addicted the series)
? 1. School setting at the beginning
Both stories begin with the leads meeting while they’re students, allowing viewers to watch their relationship develop from adolescence before it becomes more mature.
?? 2. A relationship that grows over time
Neither drama is just about falling in love overnight. The emotional bond develops through shared experiences, conflict, and changing circumstances.
??? 3. A possessive, dominant lead
One of the defining features in both is a lead who has a strong, controlling, and protective personality. That intensity is a major part of the appeal for many fans.
? 4. Morally complicated relationship dynamics
Both dramas feature characters who make questionable decisions and aren’t portrayed as perfect romantic ideals. Instead, they’re written to create emotional tension and drama.
? 5. Chemistry between the leads
A large part of the success of both dramas comes from the actors making the relationship feel believable and emotionally engaging.
? 6. Emotional conflict
The romance isn’t smooth. Misunderstandings, jealousy, emotional struggles, and difficult choices all shape the relationship.
? 7. Growing from youth into adulthood
One thing fans often appreciate is seeing how the characters and their relationship evolve over time rather than staying in a single stage of life.

I'm recommending this because they have the same author. I'm reading the novels and I think everyone should as well. It took me so long to finish Addicted's novel because I would always need time to recover after every other chapter that I read. Currently, I am reading Counterattack, and it had the same effect on me. I've already secured a copy for Advance Bravely, and I don't know when will I be able to read it.
