In 1996, 19 year old Kudo Junichi is found dead in front of his father's house with only a note left that says "Dad, I am free". At that time, investigation was difficult and the case was left unsolved. Now, a foreign woman visits Ishikawa Yuri, a detective in the Kanagawa Police force, and confesses she witness the murder in 1996. Yuri and her team begin a new investigation.
