>Strong female lead
>Both have investigation
>Both deal with interrogation
>The way conversations happen and the atmosphere is slightly similar

No doubt you'll like one if you like the other

Both the series take up cases from the past that are either unsolved or criminals being falsely charges. Both are well written and emotional.

Secondary actors portraying detectives in Ouroboros recur as the main cast in Cold Case: Shinjitsu no Tobira, so it's a fulfilling pairing if you're left wanting for more after watching either of the two. Both dramas examine the emotional background behind crimes, and are guaranteed to make you cry!

Cold case is a drama with a female as the investigator of cold cases( cases that have gone unsolved). In Cold case the lead is also a female and they are basically solving the same kinds of murders or incidents. Cold case has more of a frigid vibe to it while mikaiketsu has a bright vibe because of its lead Haru.

Both being series dealing with cold cases and both dramas have the same flavor in the cinematography and the OSTs.

The Investigation in Cold Case is more direct on crime stories. The Specialist drama, it also involved with crime stories, but both have different approaches on investigating. It is not like pure Sherlock and Detective investigation technique. It is more evolve in thinking patterns in a creative and logical path.

Both are remakes of popular Hollywood investigative/crime TV series; Cold Case follows the plotlines more closely, although stories are fitted to a Japanese context.

This is the first season of this show. The cases are showcased in both seasons very interestingly. Both seasons have many cases, each per episode which are always solved nicely.

I just started watching Cold case lately and also just found out that both are made by the same director and both crime/mystery genre.

a police team solving cases together
not a super thriller element to either of them
focus more on the science of the case than on entertainment
good to watch while eating dinner -- not too fussy or stressful

Both are set upon cold cases. Both are very emotional and great OSTs especially in Cold Case: Shinjitsu no Tobira.
