i'm really impressed with FL. she killed it by her strong performance, but i'm not convinced with ML acting, his appearance is dull for me, it could be better if other actor played that role, rest i'm happy with all characters and 2nd couple

i loved those moments where princess and prince showing affection to each other

i've watched "THE CROWN PRINCESS 2018" before " PLERNG NAREE 2016" this both have different story line but plots are some how same as well as they used the same location and some actors are same

1 risa came trigis to thailand for revenge/alice came thailand for business from hirosis
2 for both ML its naturally shocking to know FL is the crown princess (FL hide their identity from ML)
3 theephob is police/ davin is navy officer
4 both ML have given duty to protect FL and escort their country safely
5 both ML maintain distance from FL thought their not suitable for FL
6 both FL agree to marry other countries prince for her country sake
7 both FL shot and admitted to hospital where rest of the people know her identity
8 princess pririsa and prince kanin are targeted by rebels / as well as princess alice and prince aaron are targeted by
rebels
9 davin's father saves once king of hirosis / theephob's father saves once king of trigis
10 davin is requested by king of hirosis to protect his granddaughter in trust of his family loyalty / theephob is
ordered/requested by king of trigis to protect his daughter in trust of his family loyalty
11 for some reason both ML quit mission to save FL then they accept that mission after their parents told them
12 both ML mothers are against FL
13 both ML don't want to listen FL's confession to maintain distance
14 at last FL family agree to fulfill FL happiness so they give them chance to go to her true love

One time watch for Davika, if you are a fan

Davika is quite a good actress and beautiful too. She looks her part and as usual the costume department has done a great job. Even the evil women are well decked up.
It's the men who are so weak that it seems this aspect will never change in lakorn world.

The ML's words and actions show that he likes the FL but he doesn't hesitate to hug another woman and  caress her. He is a mama's boy who gets engaged to said woman. Thankfully his mom didn't order him to sleep with his fiancée otherwise he would have done that as well.
The FL has learnt nothing from what her mother went through so eventually she gets on with this loser. How romantic it is when an engaged ML takes the FL to his secret home, locks her up and  she has no qualms being in his arms and being kissed by him.

FL's bestie keeps telling the FL that the girl should simply ignore and forget how her mom was abused and thrown away. The episode where the FL claims her right over the company should have been the highlight where the evildoers realize their crime but this is the drama that tells us to tolerate abuse and forgive criminals. Not only the ML but the FL's own mother doesn't believe in punishing the wicked. The evil sister rightfully mocked the FL that her own mother was not on her side.

FL's mom is the kind of woman who'll say, you didn't walk all over me properly please do it again. She wanted to pimp her daughter to the highest bidder in the name of country, her step father and step brother were far better.
Other people have mentioned and I agree that the leads didn't have chemistry. The actor playing the FL's brother was so much better in terms of chemistry, and acting.

ML keeps both his options open by being with both sisters. I can see what he'll do in future as well. FL being a princess will have far better options but she has her 'happy' ending with a man who had no hesitation being with her step sister. The ML acts as if he was being forced to be close to another woman. His parents have raised him well.

The ending is a bit unclear to me. Did the ML accept the woman of a higher status coz they kept saying how their status was different and how he wishes she was secretary. But if the ML was a price and the FL was a commoner, the lakorn would have shown us her 'struggles', she would be taught how to eat, sit, talk to be worthy of the man.

I don't think I've ever come across any lakorn that is worth watching again. This falls in the same category.

A Tale of Revenge : Plerng Naree Review

Introduction:
"Plerng Naree" is a Thai romance drama that delves into the intricate world of familial betrayal, revenge, and the resilience of its lead character, Princess Risa. In comparison to similar dramas like "The Crown Princess," "Plerng Naree" stands out with its heavier plot and a unique portrayal of a princess seeking justice.

Plot:
The narrative revolves around Risa, the illegitimate daughter of Kanin, determined to avenge the mistreatment her mother endured at the hands of her father's family. After an unexpected twist involving King Ra-II, Risa transforms into a princess with a vendetta. Despite her mother's advice to move forward, Risa chooses the path of revenge, returning to Thailand in disguise. The entry of Theepop adds a layer of curiosity to the story, setting the stage for a compelling drama.

Characters:
Princess Risa emerges as a smart and strong-willed character with a profound sense of justice. Notably, her independence shines through as she initially refrains from using her royal connections to dismantle her father's company. On the other hand, Theepop is portrayed as a calm yet somewhat cold character.

Acting:
Davika, in her portrayal of Princess Risa, demonstrates commendable acting skills that effectively convey the character's multifaceted emotions and the intensity of her revenge-driven journey. Her ability to bring depth to Risa's personality and showcase the character's intelligence adds to the overall engagement with the drama.

On the other hand, Tik, as Theepop, falls short of delivering a convincing performance. Despite being a seasoned actor, his portrayal lacks the subtlety required for a character with a calm and somewhat cold demeanor. The stiffness in his expressions and the limited range of emotions make it challenging for viewers to connect with Theepop on a deeper level. Compared to his co-stars, Tik's acting seems less immersive, and the character's complexity is not fully explored through his performance.

Music:
The musical score of "Plerng Naree" doesn't stand out as particularly special, lacking the memorable elements that could enhance the overall viewing experience.

Overall Evaluation:
The drama excels in plot intricacies, especially in portraying a revenge story that feels justified given the extent of misery experienced by Risa and her mother. However, the weak point lies in the romantic aspect, with a noticeable lack of chemistry between the lead characters. This makes it less appealing for those seeking a robust romance, even though the genre tag suggests otherwise. The rewatch value is primarily driven by the allure of the female lead's smart and strategic scenes rather than any substantial romantic elements.

Conclusion:
"Plerng Naree" succeeds in delivering a gripping tale of revenge and independence, making it a noteworthy watch for those drawn to intricate plotlines. While some acting performances fall short of expectations, the overall narrative and the portrayal of Princess Risa's character contribute to the drama's appeal. However, potential viewers should be aware that the romance aspect may not meet their expectations, and the drama's strengths lie more in its plots and schemes than in the chemistry between the characters.

First I think this drama was okay like if you don't ahve anythign else to wtach just watch this.
The chemistry between the main couple wasn't that good ,for me the FL had more chemsitry with her brother but okay.
the acting of mai was amazing she was perfect for the role, but I don't think the same for the ML, his acting was good But
He had something I didn't like.Another thing In my opinion IDK if mia is tall but when she put on high heel she was mcuh taller thn the ML which was strange to watch ,and when she didn't ahve any heels she was still more taller than him. THEY COULD OF JUST LOOKED FOR A MUCH TALLER ML BUT OKAY.

STORY-well the story was good but I don't think the developed it good ,for me the first few ep were not bad but it went draggy up to the point that I was just skipping the scenes FOR ME THE ONLY INTERESTING PART WAS WHEN THE ML GETS TO KNOW THAT SHE IS A PRINCESS but after like in ep 11 things get so drggy aswell and boring.

CAST-as I said the FL was good but not the same forthe ML(I'm not saying he is not a good actor just saying that I think he wasn't the best choice or the role.

MUSIC-nothing special to say.

rewatch value-NAA I don't think is worth to rewatch to many draggy hings and broing thing.

OVERALL-AS I SAID NOT BAD BUT OKAY

THINGS I DIDN'T LIKE=

-THE GAP OF HEIGHT (IT WAS ABIT STRANGE TO WATCH)
-NOT REALLY MCUH CHEMISTRY EBTWEEN THE MAIN LEAD
-THE REVENGE WAS NOT MUCH LIKE IT WAS SUPPOSE TO BE BIG BUT AT THE END IT WS NOT MUCH THING BECAUSE THE MOTHER OF THE FL INTERVEN
-THE FL FORGIVED TOO QUICKLY HER DAD BUT OKAY
-THE ENDING WAS RUSHED AND BORING BUT ATLEAST HAPPY
-I WAS WAITING FOR EVERYONE TO GET TO KNOW THAT SHE IS A PRINCESS BUT IT DIDN'T REALLY HAPPENED AS I EXPECTED
-BYTHE WAY THEIR IS A HUGE AGE GAP BUT YOU CN'T REALLY SEE LIKE SHE WAS 26 AND HE WAS 39 BUT IT WAS OKAY BECAUSE YOU COULDN'T REALLY TELL

THINGS I DID LIKE=
-TO TELL TH TRTUH I ONLY KEPT WATCHING FOR THE FL HER PERSONALITY AND ACITNG IS AAMZING
-THE CHEMISTRY BETWEEN THE FL AND HER BROTHER
-I DON'T AHVE MUCH MORETO SAY

in a summary if you don't a hve NAYHTING ELSE TO WATCH AND JUST WANT TO WTAHC SOMETING ,JUST WATCH THIS/I DON'T REGRET WATCHIGN BUT I WILL NEVER REWATCH THIS NOT EVEN SECENS IS NOT WORTH TO REWATCH.

Not much to recommend here

This lakorn is really not likely to be recommended as I can't really come up with many positives.

Music - can't even remember any.

Main couple - the age gap IS a problem here. They look like uncle and niece.

Second couple - good, actually. Both more likeable than the main ones & cute together.

Setting - being a princess, of some stupid-named fictional country at that, is a MINUS in my book. The simple family revenge would be enough.

Rewatch value? Even once was tiresome.
