This is my first review, and if there's spelling errors I apologize since English isn't my native language.

When I first started watching the drama I was a little sceptical, because of the many main characters, and because I'm not so strong in political dramas. However since the first episode I was drawn in by the theme. There may have been some things I have missed, based on how political it is. However I think that after some time everything I was unsure about, got cleared up in a simple way, so pretty much everyone could understand it.
It takes a while before the story really starts to develope, but once it does it's really great, and it certainly got me emotional more than a few times.
I would recommend this drama if you're into chinese historical/ political dramas.

The story is awesome, but it starts a little bit confusing (you have to pay full attention to this series in order to not miss anything) and there are so many characters that you don't know who to follow anymore haha, but I ended up loving every one of them (eccentricities included!). Also, the plot starts a bit boring and slow, but after some episodes everything goes down hill very fast... I was shocked, all the characters just started to die one after another like flies omfg! xd

Despite the cast of amateur actors I really liked the acting, very powerful moments and emotions coming out from the actors (Jian Bin and Xiao Qi, I'm manly talking about you two :c). About the music, the soundtrack was good, it got me emotional many times and I absolutely loved the melody Ah-Li plays with his flute through the series, it's melancholic and sad, but beautiful.

Overall, it's entertaining (if you like politics and people scheming against each other, then this series is perfect for you) and I never got tired of the sweet scenes between the main characters (despite many of them were cut by the censors). 8 out of 10.

Men with missing logic.

Meh. The acting was mediocre. The story was pretty boring. There was so much talking. I ended up skipping a lot of scenes. Almost all the characters I liked the most died. It's pretty unusual for a series to keep on killing off main characters. It felt unsatisfying. We were left with the most cunning and cold people, except for my favorite character Zhi Ming. He was the only comedic relief. And boy, did I need it. My favorite couple, though, was Jian Bin and Qi Zhi Kan. I would say they were the only real couple. They were obviously important to each other. They both stayed loyal till the end. Zhi Ming was into A-Li, and Meng Zhang seemed to be into Zhong Kun Yi. I believe it was one-sided in both instances, though. Zhi Ming was so into A-Li. A-Li was cold towards Zhi Ming almost the entire way through, though. He did manage to get him to smile a couple of times, but that was about it. Zhong Kun Yi just seemed to not care about Meng Zhang that much. I mean, he didn't even bat an eye when he was ill. Gong Sun Qian and Ling Guang were never that close, so I wouldn't consider them a possible couple. There was also so much repetition of the same issues. It became a little tedious. There weren't enough romantic moments for this to be worth it, in my opinion.

How Do I say This?

The series start off pretty boring and confusing to me, but I had to pay attention to every episode, so I wont miss a thing. At episode 3 thats the time everything started to be interesting, Of course, I liked A Li and Zhi Ming, but I felt like A Li didn't have affection toward Zhi Ming mostly the entire way, this is why Jian Bin and Qi Zhi Kan was my favorite. They both show affections toward each other, I got blushed, and they were loyal to each other until the end. So bad and sad that they had to die. I mean come one. If only I haven't watch this, and I knew about Xiao Qi and Jian Bin, I would never watch it. The series was pretty good tbh, it just why does some of the main actors has to die. Are they trying to kill us viewers? If the duo didnt die, and it wouldnt be a tragedy to me, I would rate it 10/10

Men behaving badly

This drama is primarily exploring power and male friendships.
None of our MLs are married and each has been brought up in court where intrigue, betrayal and suspicion are rife.
The respective personalities of these kings and their loyal close friendships are displayed as concurrent stories that intertwine and entangle with lots of battles, fights and deaths along the way.
Ah Li is revered for his glamorous looks and lusted after by many yet his character is the one to watch. He is playing the long game and successfully manipulates remotely without revealing his final intentions - segue to Series 2 which I will put on my PTW list.

I hope the second series gets more funding to make some of the sets and props more acceptable.

If you are a political drama lover , it's for you

I love chinese historical bl dramas a lot . The Untamed was the first series I watched as C-BL . It made me want to watch more . So this is one of the top search results for historical bl dramas , that's why I started watching it. But unfortunately it didn't mewt my expectations . The start was a bit boring and ofc ypu have to pay 100% attention to remember names of the characters. I first thought that there are too many characters but they die one by one . 3rd episode was the kickstart of the drama . But it didn't continue to be that much entertaining . Actually I stopped watching at 10 th episode cz the story was still at where it started .
Anyway it's up to you if you wanna give it a try then try it. Everyone's choice is not the same no.
