Park Seo Joon never dissapoints
I have seen this film multiple times. It's a great night film to watch when you are bored and tired and want a story to laugh along with that won't make you think too much. It has everything you'd want from an action-comedy and even more!Park Seo Joon's and Kang Ha Neul's chemistry was insane. Their portrayal of two best friends was absolutely perfect, and their on-screen relationship felt authentic. There were also a lot of action scenes in the film which in my opinion felt realistic - which is often unusual for Korean productions. I definitely recommend trying it. You won't be bored, the film will really entertain.

Really enjoiable
A good movie that has balance between comedy and drama. The first half of the movie is a bit more comical letting us see how the bromance starts and grows with time, until they comically ends up in tragedy. The movie on its own isn't a huge product, but in its little things comes out as really good one. The boys finds themself facing little problems as how they're gonna find a girlfriend being stuck in academy, or just have a life outside, to questioning themself if that it's really what they want to do in life. They soon find the answer when they witness the kidnapping, they find the sparkling they seem to have lost.Anyway, the acting is good, the boys are really funny and give us some good action scene, in general everyone worked good, as I said the first part of the movie stays more in comedy, the second half focus on the investigation and action.
It's an easy movie to watch that doesn't fail to make you laugh but it still entertains you with the crime turn.

You don't want to miss this movie
This movie is the ideal comfort movie. It has action, crime, comedy, drama, youth and most importantly, the warmest ending ever.The two leads are perfect for their roles and I dare anyone not to fall in love with them. They're the typical next-door guys who are dumbdumb but have hearts of gold and will fight for what is right (and sexily so). Lots of laughter because of them and you will love every minute of it.
This movie is a gem and it deserves way more recognition that it has. You don't need to know anything else, just watch it and you will see for yourself how rewatch-worthy this is!

{DISCLAIMER} This review is based on my personal opinion that may differ from others. Thank you for understanding. :)Kang Ha Neul and Park Seo Joon had some of the best on screen bro-relationship I have seen in a long time. I generally enjoy action films that don't have a romance put into it, so my rating might be high that others. Both main characters had a solid background that worked for this film and you didn't really question the action or require more in my opinion.
If you don't enjoy films with blood, you may not enjoy this one either. I like how the director was not afraid to show blood and wounds.
Another thing that I truly enjoyed is that 'Midnight Runners' hits a very serious problem that occurs in the world, but is not widely known about. And even though this is quite the serious matter, the writers have decided to put humor into it and make it a little less heavy and more digestible.
The ending was the one you expect at the beginning and even though I have seen my fair share of film, TV series and dramas (and kid of hate expected endings) I was very content this film ended the way it did, which is probably also a reason why my rating is this high. :)

Bromance between Police Academy Students: a fiery midnight run !
This movie is centred on a duo of police academy students that find themselves investigating a crime in the middle of the night, literally running all over the place trying to help.I found the pacing of the film really well done: it is never boring and manage to deliver a clear message. The protagonists are efficiently defined and well-conceived: the viewer understand very quickly their motivations, characteristics and their relationship. The plot is not that nuanced: it is not very critical on the current system and can be seen as a bit simplistic. But overall, what matters is that the story is earnest in its intentions and is gratifying.
The 2 main actors were awesome: they had great chemistry together, they wore their hearts on their sleeves and were really complementary. I'm not surprised by their amazing performances given their respective body of work.
The soundtrack was not overly present but I found the ending song upbeat enough to conclude in a satisfying way the movie. The filmmaking was really good in terms of fight scenes as well as training and practices scenes of our 2 "rookies"/ungraduated cops.
I would recommend this to people that love one of the main male leads and that are looking for a great and entertaining cop movie!

This move made my day❣️. Great story with full of humour?.All if my stress are gone ?♂️. I was hopping this was an Drama instead of Movie ?.Because 1houe & 48 minutes are not enough for this kind of story. Found a gem after 3 year that's i regard ?.At the end I wish the best for the Police like them in our society. It was an educational Movie. It will remain one of the best movie I ever Watched ?.The Story was Lit . There are so many similar articles are on the news . But there are not enough fearless police officer . The massage of the movie was very clear, Stood up against any kind of crime, discrimination, corruption. Don't let anyone to do crime . Be brave and fight against the evil.
This movie was full of humour & i watch the funny screen again and again.

ah, we love a good cop movie
Okey dokey so I've been feeling kinda meh and really needed to watch something investing and funny. Oh boy did it deliver, gripping action, genuinely wicked gritty plot and eliteee bromance and witty bants between the leads. It was a great balance between comedy and seriousness, the weight of the situation was handled well and the morals were delivered well too whilst simultaneously making me laugh and wanting to rewatch certain moments. I'm in such a great mood after watching this wowee ahah, ah, looking back I really really enjoyed that, 1hr 50 mins very well spent indeed. As did everyone else who reviewed this movie, I really liked Ki Joon and Hee Yeol's dynamic, effortlessly funny honestly idek how else to describe it. The plot of this movie I just love, I feel like so much happens and all of it actually matters, no wasted time, no faffing with unnecessary side plots, straight to the point action we love to see it. I loved the little references they would make to previous parts of the movie and how cohesive everything was, nothing wildly complicated but still intriguing and intricate I felt.Overall, thoroughly enjoyed this movie woah I would have no problem watching it again because it was seriously so good and I had a great time watching it. I probably wouldn't jump to watch it ASAP because I don't feel like that would exactly do much for me ygm, but I can 100% see myself roping someone else in to watch it with me in the future. Ah, wonderful, wholly satisfied and feeling much better than before :)))

Fun and endearing
This was a really nice no-brain watch; there were moments that were quite endearing and yet had harsh and realistic implications for the larger policing system. At the same time, because of the humor, I found it hard to feel invested because there never felt like there were high stakes. You always knew things would work out in the end, and even at the most harrowing parts the movie never felt serious.Even so, this movie worked well as a comedy — KHN and PSJ have really great chemistry together and the bromance scenes in this have become so iconic it was fun to see.

The story of two young students in the police university set off from a good start. They came here with different start and they both have youthful vigour (which was shown through wonderful acting), yet during the process also get confused about their future. This question of "what to do next?" or "what am I going to do with my life" came to many of us and both of them don't know what to do, what are the prospects. And only witnessing the kidnapping of a young girl pulls them out from the quagmire. What to do? No witness, no evidence, they couldn't chase the vehicle and even the dispatch of a search team and help is impossible, after all all available units are disatched on the search of some mogul's kid. The reality hits hard, what is the life of a kidnapped girl compared to a person with status. Both decide to hold on and investigate themselves and spend the most critical time searching, thus spending the night running around. Thus the title of this movie, I actually really like the title Midnight Runners, it is simple and true to what is happening and I'm not a fan how they interpreted it as "Young Cops" in my language.. after all except for the word ' young' calling them 'cops' feels incorrect, they're still students and the title is too general.
Although the horrids of reality were downplayed, after all the main aim of this movie is to not be realistic and overly depressing, but I must say.. the criminal world is still scary. That is why I said that it was idealistic, I bet in the real world they unfortunately wouldn't have seen the next day. Unless they're Liam Neeson.
But what happened awakened their passionate heart to do what they think is the right thing, despite the consequences. They couldn't turn the blind eye and live knowing that if they leave it to others, then who knows what will happen to the victims.
This movie has that youthful passion of doing what you believe in, because you're young, because you have guts.
On a closing note once again my compliments to the actors, they were great. Came here for Park Seo Joon and stayed for a good watch. Thank you.

a really good movie
This movie definitely deserves praise. I went in to watch this after finishing Police University. It was a good story, with good action and awesome acting by Seo Joon Park. Well, I wasn’t able to recognize Ha Neul Kang, he looked so slim and that military hairstyle suited him so much. The bromance was awesome.The story felt as if the students might run away from the university as I interpreted it from the title but here the students chase after bad people to save a girl, but come across a gang and then fight with all their might risking their future as police officers. They show what they had learned in the university and also what they want to do in the future if they become police officers.
If one wants to watch some fun but with some serious story, this MIDNIGHT RUNNER is a good option.

WHY THIS IS A MUST WATCH MOVIEEEE
I've never laughed this much while watching something honestly! This movie was amazing and I'm getting ready to watch it again guys. The main leads put the H & I IN HILARIOUS I swear. Their friendship is amazing, and they click well together. They are so passionate and kindhearted as well, when they are doing the right things and even though others are urging them to stop, they won't give up until the end. This movie was truly amazing, it showed teamwork, endurance, happiness, friendship, hope and last but not least faith. They made a promise to save these girls and they did!!! Midnight Runners is a must watch because it is truly worth it trust me. Also, Park Seo Joon works are always amazing. GO WATCH IT NOW!!xo
