ASK MDL: Parental Ties Naoki and Kyoko Katagiri are a married couple that wanted to have children. They tried but failed and thought of adopting a child. They became foster parents instead. As the foster parents, they cannot have the child legally and need to bring up their child with love. First, they fostered Yosuke, who was abandoned by his mother due to her sickness. He grew from feeling as a rejected child to having the sense of belonging in Katagiri's family. Sachi was fostered next into the family. She lost her mother and was ill-treated by her father. This is from 2003 so the production value isn't super high but the acting was well done and immersed you well into the story. I would recommend this story for some one looking for a good slice of life drama and only had a small amount of time to spend watching something.
