Too much stress and hair-ripping

I loved a lot of the things about the drama, but I have to honestly say, I legit dragged myself through the mud to finish this. When the male lead and female lead separated, it was unbearable watching these two idiots misunderstand each other. The amount of stress I was put through was so terrifying, I don't think I can ever take another look at this drama. All I can tell people is watch at your own risk.

Liu Ying's daughter is just as badass as her mother :-)

Poor little Kunlun student, whoever he is. He's doomed :-) Now, my understanding of what happened to Jin Mi: Lord Dou Mu mentioned that her death is destined and she couldn't prevent from it. But what she could was to give her the ashes of Brahma that would help her to be reborn as immortal (in the hindu trinity of gods Brahma is the one who creates the worlds) if and after she passes the trial. Thus, she is reborn in the mortal world but remained an immortal, with all her memories preserved. The scene with Liu Ying and the flower testifies to that. They chose a peaceful life in the mortal realm.

Emotional ride.

Uau. Desde as roupas, a atuação, a trilha sonora. Tudo. Obrigada por tudo, Ashes of Love. Ashes of Love, dedico o título de melhor drama a você.

My new favorite drama of all time

Yoooo. This is the first C-drama that I have ever watched, and it has easily become one of my favorite shows of ALL TIME. I have never been so emotionally invested in a show. While on my school break, I was looking for shows to watch on Netflix, and saw this. Since I'm really into fantasy and mythology, the premise looked intriguing. I almost decided not to watch it though because it was so long (63 episodes) and my break was about to end, but I am so glad I decided to give it a try. For the past 3-5 days I have nonstop binged watched this show to the end. Every time I would try limit myself because I needed sleep since I had to work, but I just could not do it. So I made it my goal to finish it before my break ended because I knew I would neglect school work to watch it. The show is so amazing, I can't even use words to describe it. From the amazing visual and CGI, to the intricate characters and their phenomenal actors, to the heart wrenching and unforgettable plot. Ya'll I'm just so in love with this show. I literally made an account just so I could rate and write a review of it. And I literally just finished watching the show and am probably gonna re-watch it today. This is the type of show where you just can't stop until you're finished, it's long but so worth it; because when you're watching it, it doesn't seem long at all and you actually start to dread the day when you finish the show. There are just so many different elements to it, it's an adventure story, a love story, a tragedy, it is literally an epic. I am in love with Xufeng, but I am more in love with Xufeng and Jimni. Oh my gosh, when I tell you this show played feelings ya'll; I laughed, I cried (and balled), I got angry, I got sad, I got fearful (of a tragic ending, which thankfully it was not), and I got happy. 1000000/10 recommend AOL to everybody, I've been telling my friends, and my family to watch this show, and I'll keep preaching it to the heavens. This one of those shows where you forgot that it's a show because you get sucked into the world. There are only a few shows (from any country/genre) that have been able to do this to me, so my love for it is so great that the only thing that could equal it is Jimni and Xufeng's love.

Love, Tears, Beauty - An Asian Masterpiece

Out of the many dramas that exist in Asian cinema, there are only two that I have given a full star rating - this drama, Heavy Sweetness Ash-like Frost, and Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms. If you are a fan of Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms, this drama will surely capture you even more.PLOT: 10/10ACTING: 10/10CINEMATOGRAPHY: 10/10WITHDRAWAL AFTER WATCHING: 100000000/10 :'(Being Chinese myself, I am often critical of Chinese dramas as they can be long, draggy, and leave one feeling rather unsatisfied with the outcome. Moreover, the Xianxia theme is difficult to master successfully. Throughout all 63 episodes, I never felt bored. Character development is excellent and flows well, and while there may be a few plot holes, they are minor and are easily overlooked (I've forgotten them already, if there were any!). Deng Lun's acting took my breath away - heartfelt, cute, and tear-jerking at the right moments, you become so hooked on his character and his love for the heroine. Yang Zi also portrayed the heroine innocently enough while not being annoying. Moreover, Luo Yunxi played his role with excellence - you love him, hate him, and feel sorry for him all at the same time. There's some antagonists that will make you mad, but only a little, and they all eventually meet their retribution. Plenty of sweet scenes are scattered throughout the drama, making a viewer feel fulfilled. If you are seeking a Chinese drama that is truly worth watching despite it's length, this (and Ten Miles of Peach Blossoms) is the perfect place to start. Only thing I have to warn you is that I entered severe withdrawal after completing this drama, I had to read the novel this drama was based on, AND I kept re-watching sweet scenes on YouTube. Truly a beautiful story, with amazing actors, and magnificent acting!

Five Stars

Happy ending. But I'm honestly confused about some things, did Jin Mi have her memories from the time she was an immortal? Did she reborn as a mortal with no powers and everything? Great ending, happy ever after.
