As an immense fan of Fair Xing and Niu Jun Feng, I was overall disappointed. STORY:
As far as the story goes, the whole mess that starts off the show has too many holes and in my opinion was too messy. The whole car accident and Su Nian Nian's feelings toward it made me as a very, insanely annoyed. Not going to lie, the show did die down, and got boring within a couple episodes. I really didn't like how Su Nian Nian was put under an angelic light, when a lot of times, she was rude to her elders and peers thinking it was okay even when she wasn't attacked. Gu Zi Chen as a character I enjoyed seeing a lot more, because despite all of Nian Nian's attempts to throw him under the bus or in a bad light, he was always a good guy in my book. From the car accident, to when he saved her in the lake, he was way more thoughtful than what he was recognized for.
ACTING/CAST:
I'll hand it to them, as far as bringing the characters to life, I hold not grudge against the actors and actresses. Instead, I'm annoyed with the screenwriters for constantly writing such nonsense lines. It gave me a headache.
MUSIC:
Despite everything I didn't like, I REALLY liked the theme song, definitely adding the ost to my playlist.

drama is good . And something that we get to learn about their hardwork after facing problem also they are trying their best to reach their goal . They understand each other and help each other . Some friends are their like main lead character who always Su nian nian secretly. And the second lead character is so sweet and adorable who always help other , if they are mistakes then he tries to teach them . And 2 sweet friends of Su nian nian are so good the always help each other when they in bad times and care for each other and try to solve problems togather. This is called true friendship who cries for you and laugh with you. I learned that in how much problem you are facing, don't face alone share with your friends and get some suggestions and advice and solve the problems togather so that problem will not look bigger than facing the problems alone. Was this review helpful to you?

Expectations... NOT MET!
First of all I would like to say that I liked the cast especially the main leads. They had good chemistry and their relationship was sweet. They have good acting skills as well, especially the male lead. Now lets get to all the problems.
Honestly speaking I personally think all the blame for the problems in this show goes to the writing. They had a pretty good premise which they ruined -No, sorry, BUTCHERED - time and time again throughout the show.
I feel as though the director didn't do a good job either. There is no consistency in the plotline and characters.
Lets start from the beginning itself the logic is thrown out the window by all characters. Even though most of these characters are considered smart but we almost never see it. First and foremost why doesn't the doctor say her that she wasn't hit by a car considering she has no injury that might reflect this belief of hers. If it is a hit and run then why aren't the police involved? She remembers seeing him but doesn't remember not being hit by a car.
There was a lack of consistency when it came to the second leads feelings. One second he talks about how cute she is and the next second he doesn't seem to even care about the fact that his friend is dating her.
Another flaw in storytelling was that the main female leads feelings for male lead came out of nowhere. Actually the main female leads feelings were all over the place and a total mess. One moment it feels like she is falling for the second lead, although she carries another guys photo in her book. She gets over the Tang Yu guy just because he insulted her college, this is weird considering the fact that she apparently liked him since high school. She accuses her father for not being her biological father and he does nothing about. Shouldn't he be angry or offended that somebody was defaming his wife?
Lets talk about the main male lead now. Throughout the show he throws money around to solve all the problems. Until the 35th episode he is sweet, kind and generous, although she misunderstands him time and time again, but in the 36th episode he loses his memories and apparently his personality as well, which make no sense because the second lead says repeatedly that the male lead is sweet and generous. the male lead is shown as somebody who is smart and logical but he doesn't try to do a DNA test and/or ask his father the truth (I know his mother asked him not to, but it still makes no sense), instead decides to break up with her just because there is tiny bit chance that she might be his sister.
The later half of the show has no specific storyline and is all over the place. One second we are told they might be siblings and their pain is poorly executed and barely shown. Then there is He Mei, whose involvement is for dramatic purposes but also shown very poorly. We are told about maturity and growth in characters but we never really see it.
So for all these I would have to put the blame on SHODDY WRITING JOB.

Bad Writing and casting
First of all let me get this out of the way; I am a Xing Fei fan. I like her in the vast majority of the Storylines she is in, but this one. You all gave her a weak script and Storyline to work with. This Storyline misses the mark by a mile. Bad writing and producing causes this Drama to derail. I am trying my best to finish this Drama. They have the typical Chinese storyline with the Rich, spoiled , can get his way, arrogant, needs his butt beat, but doesn't happen ML. They also have the poor, mumbling, started out strong meets the rich guy and becomes weak minded FL. This is 21st Century and some Chinese Producers/Writers are making Dramas where the female are subservient to the Males. Why? They always play the rich verses poor, with the rich male getting everything and does nothing wrong. Just in case you don't know, it's called Class Warfare.
Chemistry between Su Nian Nian and Gu Zi Chen is not there. It's a forced romance (because the Produces made it) and it is evident. Gu Zi Chen looks like he prefer men than females. He has a look about him that says I am a pretty boy. Every time he shows up you want to smack him in the face and say get real. Su Nian Nian and Ye Xing Yu would of been a better fit; but in Chinese Storyline typically the rich, arrogant man wins out. Of course the target audience for this type of Drama is for teenagers, because they don't know better.
Su Nian Nian started out as a strong minded , independent female, but as the Drama continues you can see her change. What a shame. She gets a make over and all of a sudden Gu Zi Chen likes her. Really!? She could have been such a positive for young female roles. Chinese writers had the opportunity to make a great female role models and they could of shown that strong minded, independent young females could of had it all too. They miss that mark. Please don't tell me that it's Eastern values verses Western values. I refuse to believe that Eastern women wants to be yanked on, demeaned and a man get in their faces with nothing being done. The father is not listening to his daughter. He just want her to go to that college. Just to pump in the ratings they add a rival in the mix.
I have to asked this question to the Producer and Writers: Do you have a mother or Daughters? Would you like for them to be treated or portrayed like the Female Leads you portray?
Last 3 episodes were the best of the drama. I kept hoping the drama would get better, but it didn't. Best part of the drama, was the scenery. There is more to a drama or storyline than a "So called Cute Male lead" or a "beautiful Female lead". There must be good editing, chemistry, writing and producing, there weren't.
I can't recommend this Drama to be watched. I will not watch it again.

Just no
Normally I love a good drama but the misunderstanding and shocking situation are just too much in this. It is like every possible thing that could happen in drama, happened here and I'm just over it. I like the characters but the storyline is very unlikable. It like it is a plot of several dramas and they decided to just mush it together. The music is very good though, I normally start to skip the intro after 10 episodes but this is a very nice listen. So if you don't mind every stereotypical plot twist in one drama be my guest but to me it started to get old after like four twists. I have to say that the actress who play the "villain" is very good because you will hate her so much. Was this review helpful to you?
So I still give this a go, but stop at episode 12 for a while. I watched it in fast forward or skipping some parts of each episodes but the story is really boring me so I stopped.
Then while waiting for the other episodes of some of the TV series I’m watching, I checked my pending to watch, found this and continued. Then Skip watch skip. TORTURE! The leads and support characters are OK but the story is so cliché.
This is the first time I’m writing a review, I just really need to write my frustration. The plot “parents of leads having old relationships - FL might be the daughter of the ML father Is so cliché. The stories of the casts having troubles as students should be enough but the writer keeps on adding cliché conflict.
I Will skip some ep and just watch maybe the last 2 episodes- “fast forward is the key” for the sake of finishing this.

Disappointed
I came across this drama when watching YouTube. The FL the only one that I know then, cause just finished her other drama ( put your head on my shoulder). With her and the handsome ML I start watching this with high spirit... hoping and feeling this must be another good drama.....But, episode after episode.... I feel really really really tired watching this drama.... it is absolutely drama... the drama that sucks your energy, your joy....
The Antagonist is very cruel... and the problems never stop.... one after another... very annoying.... so I stop watching and skip to the last episode... I want to know the ending .... hahaha....even in the last episode I feel tired ....
The only thing that I like is the song....
I just think watching for 10 episodes was quite a journey....

So what do I so loathe bout this show? Beyond the awful scriptwriting, bad editing, and inconsistent character behaviour, what really makes me LOATHE this show is the awful characters. Probably the only character I don't absolutely hate already is Su Nian Nian's father, and he's not much of a character, just being a lovely dad.
The two leads, Su Nian Nian And Gu Zi whatever he's called I forget, are both awful people. Su Nian Nian is a superior, neurotic, unlikeable bookworm and Gu Zi whatever is a spoilt rich kid that we seem to be supposed to like, but who's arrogance and general air make me want to beat him while vomiting violently.
The entire conflict between this pair of enemies, to later turn lovers, is so contrived that it is infuriating. It could be solved within 2 minutes, but the characters inexplicably take it almost as a point of pride to refuse to simply clear up a misunderstanding. And not in an understandable human way, in the way only a bad writer writing borderline insane-seeming characters could conceive.
These two characters seem to be stand-ins for the writers, who write from a combination of the two characters perspective on their fellow classmates. Both characters are misfits to the school they are attending. Su Nian Nian as a high achieving student, and Gu Zi whatever as a richboy who could probably have his way into a half decent school if his family wanted. Their combination of know-it-all and richkid contempt for the lower-classes seems to permeate the portrayal of all characters in the series. Those at the engineering college are not likeable working class ruffians but violent, shallow, unlikeable morons, who are there because they are self-evidently simply too stupid and/or lazy to be anywhere else. This series is straight up mean. It's portrayal of sections of society is gut churning, and its humour is based mostly in cruelt of one kind or another.
The idea that this series culminates in these two somehow forming a romance, and leading their school to some kind of group solidarity, I find sickening, and it's when I realised that this is where the series was going that I dropped it.
If this series culminate in anything less that the deaths of these two, and the entire writing team, at the hands of the working class, I cannot finish it.
Absolutely awful series, backed up by some of the worst editing and music choices I've seen yet.
AVOID!
