The male lead's misery and the fast paced episodes were the reasons for me to watch it

I watched the first season a year ago and I loved it too much that I didn't watch the second or the third ,, also I wasn't aware of Lee Jin wook's dramas by then ,,, I haven't watched any of his dramas until I watched his latest drama Bulgasal and WOW!!
I actually fell in love with him ,, he has such strong charisma especially in action and melodramatic dramas ,, he is suited the best in those dramas not the romantic ones ,,, I've became obsessed with his work then began to binge watch alot of his old dramas too ,,, he's brilliant actor ,,, he's not Idol like character but he has genuine korean and very manly image that when he act an emotional scene ,, you can't but to love his performance
Sorry I've talked alot about the male lead not the drama but actually the drama was so good too ,,, the pacing was really fast that sometimes I felt like out of breath running with them LOL ,,, it's really fast not draggy
I loved how the drama focused on the emotional part of every story ,, the villain was a hacker of sort that wasn't the interesting part but why did he do that was the interesting part ,, his motives weren't clear and his fixation on the male lead was weird
The female lead who hear voices didn't give me much but that ,,, really what she done for her character is hearing faint voices like a super powered hero ,, I didn't like how she acted as an actress ,, she didn't give me proper facial reactions in the most important scenes
I was let down a lot by her weak acting skills ,, she looked the same in every situation like she was a robot
she was the only weak think about this drama
I recommend this drama so much if you want something interesting ,, fast paced and emotional

Very Decent Watch - Not as good as the first though

While I can admit that I do prefer the first season of Voice a little more than Voice 2, Voice 2 still provides enough great action with a very thought-provoking story which was thickened with all different layers and twists and turns from characters. The new ML is definitely a good choice, although I have to be honest and say I miss the original.

I'm actually a little surprised with this being only 12 episodes long, as I definitely feel like this could have actually benefited from having the usual 16 episode series slot, but hey, I'm not a professional so I can't really be too hard on that kind of stuff.

In conclusion, I feel Voice 2 is a great watch as long as you enjoyed the first Voice. Otherwise, this might not be for you.

Voice season 2 literally sealed my faith in writer-nim as one of my ultimate faves in kdramaland

goodness Lord. wow, that was such a great drama that completely blew me out of the water.

first off, i don't think this drama could have given what it has given if not for Lee Jin Wook. wow. his performance in this is so fckin brilliant and enigmatic. when he's on-screen, my eyes are completely focused on him. his screen presence is insane and the way he portrayed the character is absolutely immaculate. i could not imagine someone else playing that character!

Lee Ha Na playing Director Kang, i have no issues with her. even when i first watched her in High School King of Savvy with Seo In Guk, i thought she did very well within the circumference of her character though a lot of people bashed her acting there. i think she's very good at playing this role, and boy do i not love the little sparks between her and Team Leader Do.

third mention will have to go to Kwon Yool who played Bae Jong Soo. in almost the entire run of the drama, he plays it really calm and cold-hearted, but at the very last confrontation scene between him and Team Leader Do, the way he acted out the crazy psychopath scene was just absolutely brilliant! mad respect.

now, in terms of story, i must say this drama exceeded my expectation in terms of its delivery, though the story/complexity may be a bit lacking since they split the entire arc into two seasons. compared to season 1 of Voice, the episodic cases here are in a way simpler though i liked that the cases are very contemporary.

i must also add that i read comments saying that they liked season 1's villain more, not sure if it's because of Kim Jae Wook or what. but some said that it gets frustrating that the villain here is always one step ahead of the detectives, and it's not very realistic or likens itself to a major plot hole.

on the other hand, i did not think that. i was definitely a lot more invested in this villain more than in season 1. in season 1, the real villain was introduced very late after they have taken a detour by insinuating someone else. here, at about as soon as episode 4, they already revealed the face of the true culprit. in a way, that makes the villain here a lot more engaged into the story, and we get to be more invested in him.

i also personally think that the real villain here, Bae Jong Soo is one of the most complex and fascinating psychopathic villains i have come across in a k-drama. i don't think it's entirely unrealistic that he's always one step ahead of the police officers when we can assume that he's a master hacker. to top it all off, we also came to know that he's very deadly, being extremely skilled with knives and swords. on top of that, he's very manipulative and has successfully built a secret group of allies who are willing to die for his cause. his charisma and genius mind are actually insane!

therefore, as a matter-of-fact, i was surprised when watching this drama that people didn't rate it higher. i was very engaged in all the characters throughout the drama, and that bombastic cliffhanger at the end. damn. I CAN'T WAIT TO START SEASON 3!!!

of course this drama is not without problems. there are scattering marks of plot holes dispersed through the drama like the reckless handling of evidence and inconsistent use of Director Kang's super hearing ability to fit the plot (which i thought was worse in season 1). however, i am not usually extra sensitive about these things so i don't fret too much about them.

would like to wrap up that i think this drama proved that the screenwriter is officially one of my ultimate crime thriller writers in all of k-dramaland, alongside the writer for Black that i just completed recently. i consider them as master story-tellers who really know their craft. hats off!

personally, i enjoyed season 2 more than season 1 even though there is cliffhanger (which is why i'm looking forward for season 3). season 2 cases was much more intense and complicated, and it involves the main cast even more. storyline and acting was as amazing as season 1. i think i just fell in love with do kang woo, his character just make sense and suits the whole storyline very line. i was expecting this kind of character in season 1 (i don't hate moo jin hyuk though), and we got it in s2 which is ughhhh thank good i like that a lot. and the main case wasn't predictable and common in the first half, making me super curious on who is he and why he's becoming like that. gonna watch s3 now hoping it was as good.

Hooked

Although only briefly into voice 2, am enjoying it as much as voice 1. Both the male leads in each voice 1 & 2 I really enjoy watching as I rate them as very good actors. The killer in voice 2 I wouldn’t say is as creepy as the killer in voice 1 but gives you the chills as to how he targets his victims with such well thought out meticulous precision. Yes definitely psychopathic tendencies there which makes it interesting for me as can’t wait to see how this developed especially when his, presuming here having not seen all the series yet, that his mother is dead but still conversing with her. Also, being as the detective Do is being nick named psycho or nut job, brings to mind the saying ‘it takes one to know one’ . Maybe the writer was thinking this when bringing this character into the story as he’s cold and a loner, so that’s intriguing too as to what makes a person that way. Before seeing the Korean voice 1 & 2, I watched the Thai Voice which was very good. Now the killer in that series I found more creepy and horrifying than the characters in the kdrama pictured so far! Looking forward to series 3 and 4 (Korea) to see how the stories develop.

kuraaangggg

kebanyakan pemain actingnya awkward banget heuheu walaupun ga tau tau amat soal acting, tapi ya kerasa lah sebagai penonton. ditambah pengambilan shotnya yang sering dipotong-potong jadi makin keliatan banget awkwardnya. untung diselamatkan oleh plot cerita yang oke jadi ya... masih worth it lah buat yang penasaran.

nonton ini cuma karna penasaran sama season 4nya, jadi mau gamau ngeluangin waktu buat nonton season dua sama tiga. tapi emang lumayan banyak orang yang ngomong sih kalo voice season dua itu kurang shhahshs

Uou
