But with that said, this drama was very nice to watch, it has a cute story, both leads have a bond since they were young but they don’t know it and by fate they meet up again years later and end up working together.
The female lead works as an aspiring writer for a radio show and the male lead works as a famous cold and arrogant actor. He also has insomnia and barely has a good night sleep or sleeps at all, even tho he takes medication to sleep.
Funny things start to unravel between the two as they start to work together, him starting to learn how to be less cold and inside of his own shell and she grows into a good and confident writer, while both start to have feelings for each other.
Later on, they discover and remember things from the past and the feelings between them get deeper.
There are so many heart warming moments in this show that its really nice to see.
Both the male and female leads have great chemistry and they are so cute together you cant help but like them and enjoy this drama.
The side characters are also entertaining so it helps to keep the drama balanced and not everything is about the melomelo of the romantic part.
You have to watch this at least once in your life, if you believe in fate and how meeting someone can actually change your life for the best.
You will end up with a filled and warm heart after watching this :)

FEEL GOOD WATCHING
I loved this series. As other reviewers have said it is simple love story with a few twists and turns. Naturally there are people trying to get in between them and playing dirty tricks. Chemistry between the lead actor and actress is good and natural. The only part that irritated me was the lead actress being so apathetic at times. Really when someone slaps you in the face you don’t just stand there, right? In the rl world you can’t be so timid if you want to succeed in a career in radio. I shed a few tears but no major crying thank goodness. Was this review helpful to you?
actually this drama storyline is just average, its showing how can a person changes after meet his first love and how can a family that broken inside changes along with the first and second lead actors when on radio
and how a radio broadcating can be people's place to open up about how that people feels
but this drama looks interesting till the end bcs of actors acting so so great, can bring this story good overall
always love kim sohyun and yoon doojun acting
GREAT GREAT!!!
they never fail me

What I liked:
1. The radio setting - To me this is what made this drama special. It really made me fall in love with the radio and really rethink the importance of radio shows and such. It also was a super cool look into what goes into the radio. I just wish they had focused more on the radio show, but more on that later.
2. The music - This OST is beautiful! I just felt like it really matched with the mood of the show and added to scenes in the best way. I especially loved Radio Romance sung by Taeil and Doyoung of NCT, and Hidden Path by Nakjoon. The second one is such a gorgeous song and I love how its a part of the story as well.
3. The styling - Unpopular opinion: I thought Song Gue Rim's poodle hair was cute. I just really liked all of the styling that they used throughout the show and I felt that by establishing each character's style really well, it helped to develop the characters further.
3. The acting - I thought the acting in was superb. Both Yoon Doo Joon and Kim So Hyun played their characters extremely well and as always Yoon Park stole the show. This drama was by no means lacking in the acting department, but rather I was disappointed in how the characters and the story was written.
What I didn't like:
1. The overly complicated plot - Somehow nothing and everything happened in this story. As the drama was ending I noticed how many conflicts actually had to be resolved. Between managing a radio show, Ji Soo Ho's family and childhood, Song Geu Rim's writing aspirations and her mother, the love triangle, Jin Tae Ri and whatever bad situation she got herself into, and crazy Dr. Jason, this drama was just an unorganized mess of storylines. First of all, Soo Ho only needed a simple backstory and a current conflict, but somehow he ended up with two childhood traumas, almost no one he can trust, and a love triangle. Meanwhile, Song Gue Rim got a proper backstory, but her only conflict throughout the entire show was I guess falling for Soo Ho? I mean she struggles with her writing in the first few episodes but its not really an issue after episode 8ish. In any event, instead of having one big conflict that was solved in an interesting or surprising way, the show ended up with all these useless conflicts that were solved in boring, predictable ways. Personally, I think they should have just stuck to the radio and explored the stories of their listeners like they did in the first 8 or so episodes.
2. The characters - I realized again as I was watching the last few episodes how annoying the majority of the characters are. I have issues with most of them but the one that particularly annoyed me was Dr. Jason, Soo Ho's psychiatrist. I love his character the first few episodes. I thought he was hilarious and would provide the comic relief needed throughout the show and eventually end up as a really good friend for Soo Ho. I was highly mistaken. I can't explain any further for fear of spoiling but just know his character becomes useless, stupid, and unrealistic. I'm still mad about it.
I know it seems that I hated more than I liked, but to the show's credit, despite my criticisms of both the story and the characters, I still really enjoyed watching this. It was always the highlight of my Mondays and Tuesdays, and any show that can keep me entertained, even though I'm not particularly interested in the plot, deserves quite a bit of credit. All in all, I enjoyed watching the show. If you like this sort of puppy love romance with more verbal confrontations than physical, its a great drama. Just don't expect to be able to remember every single conflict that's happening and ignore Song Gue Rim's poodle hair and Ji Soo Ho's super red eyes (I promise it gets less poodly and they get less red).

As the headline says, it's just a simple romance. If you're expecting something great out of the story or your typical twists and turns in a drama, you won't find that here. It's just plain and simple romance. I'm not saying that it was bad but it wasn’t great either. However, Radio Romance did succeed in one thing and that's making the viewers feel stuff what I mean is that you will laugh, feel the fluff, and possibly cry at some point. This drama is a good "filler" if you're feeling that drama burnout because it's just so sweet and a bit refreshing.
Acting/Cast:
Kim So Hyun is very natural and effective (I'm a big fan of her and TBH the main reason I watched this drama was because of her) she's just so good at conveying emotion. She was so natural that I couldn't even see that there was a big age gap between her and Yoon Doo Joon. Speaking of Yoon Doo Joon, he portrayed a socially withdrawn top star perfectly. There were times that you just wanna hug him and say "it will be alright". Yoon Park was great too but I just didn't like his character that much.
Overall:
The main reason that I gave Radio Romance a 7.5 was because it a bit too cliched but still very much watchable. As for rewatch value, just as I stated earlier this drama is good as "filler" you finish it once and you're done for good unless you have a big obsession with Kim So Hyun (like me).
Will I recommend this? it's a DEFINITE YES especially if you're feeling that drama burnout. Just chill and enjoy all the fluff that this drama gives.

I don't know what I was feeling before I started this drama, but I am glad I watched it, it didn't disappoint me EVEN a single percent , some may say it's cliche and some may point out the age gap between the leads (dk y does it even matter till the chemistry is good)but it really doesn't matter. Basically when I watch a drama , not only a good, happy character development journey is expected but a satisfying ending too and I got it so why won't I like it... If you are thinking about giving it a try... I'll say go ahead, I don't think you would regret watching .
P.s the main male lead is honestly sooooooo cute.
❤️❤️

the overall experience was good and its worth watching. i completed this drama within 2 days.

OST-
It wasn't much, not enough to go out of my way to search it, but not lacking enough to just not listen to it.
ACTING-
The acting was cute, main actress portrayed stubborn yet cute girl very well. I was satisfied since she never over reacted in the aspect of cuteness, which most dramas will do. The main actor is great. He portrayed fakeness well. Other actors were great, and didn't lack enough to make me forget them!
PLOT-
The plot is well written, MC isn't dumb, nor stubborn to the point of annoying. The male lead is a romantic who loves a girl even after 10 years. I love that he's not just an arrogant rich boy, yet he's dealing with depression and issues, that have enough of background. The plotting of his family is not grand to make me stop the drama (given I hate major plotting). The side stories are great, making me really invested! What I really love is the radio stories they do, that make me sad everytime.

Radio romance is a story without worry; you can watch it without any worries, but you need ease and patience. It is passionate, slow, romantic, sometimes cute and heart-warming. Every layer that comes out is even lovelier. I don’t want to stop watching it. I don’t want it to finish. It is not a story with many events nor it is exciting, but it makes you expect and look forward to what to come all the time, and you have to patiently wait for it and enjoy the wait. It is like listening to the radio at night although I don’t know what that feels like; with smooth music just like the drama itself. even the OST sounds like beach waves, sunset and clouds with purple with a cool breeze in a car ride with a strong heartbeat.

I want to start out by saying i really enjoyed this show and i liked it overall. I did have two things i wanted to say/ask i guess.1st, i found it weird at the end how they had the MML read the letters from his friend who died and then listening to the radio contest. Maybe its just me, but these things would have only deepened my guilt about what happened, not relieved it. To me it was like "Oh you feel bad about what happened? Here are letters about how much he cared about you! Now feel better about being a factor as to why he died!" No.
2nd, i found it incredibly frustrating that Jason wasn't forgiven in some form at the end. He forgives his mom and his manager, but Jason is made the Devil? It doesn't make sense to completely disolve their friendship especially when Jason explains why he did what he did and admits he was wrong. I would have rather he took that attitude with his dad or even Tae Ri.
Thank you.
