I've seen it said that BL has a lot of tropey-ness (what doesn't?), but this seemed to weave within tropes in a way that created an original pattern--something sweet and just fresh enough to keep me intrigued. The actors/actresses all fit their roles to a T, and when you look back, you can easily see the development. They aren't two-dimensional and bland, and even barely there side characters like the twins are memorable.
The show possesses two separate love stories in it, and the one thing that does make it fall slightly is that it is just too short and could stand to be expanded. I wouldn't say that's a complete bad thing, as I would easily watch the same season expanded just as I would absolutely adore a sequel (for both couples.... and possibly co-captain and #7? Bahaha).
I struggle a lot with the cheese factor in BL dramas, but BOUNDARY CROSSING was able to balance it quite well. There were moments that had me smiling and excited and others with the right amount of angst and others that were just plain sweet and endearing. The interactions between the characters felt organic and naturally awkward when they were supposed to be, which is hard to pull off. The music fit the scenes (which is a HUGE pet peeve of mine... who wants an upbeat song when something tragic is happening? Not I.)
While I know HIStory is more of a bunch of short stories, I really, really would give my kidney (...or probably not. I like my body parts) for this portion of it to have a continuation. I feel it would be a shame to not give it more, which it (and I...) so deserve.
So major kudos.

story: the storyline was so simple yet so beautiful. it's just a story of 2 (well 4) teenagers falling in love, following their dreams and most importantly doing what they love and what makes them the happiest. the way this show portrays the doubts about one's sexual orientation is realistic. I say realistic because it shows young teens the positive perspective they should adopt towards their doubts instead of the typical "oh I can't be gay because it's wrong". it's all about liking/loving whoever you want without a care in the world.
acting/cast: the actors interpreted their roles in a perfect way, they couldn't have done it better.
music: it was just like the whole show - simple and perfect.
rewatch value: I watched this yesterday and I'll probably watch it a few more times this week... so the rewatch value 10/10.
overall: I'll never forget this show. it touched my heart and it made me incredibly happy. I know this is cheesy to say but it made want to believe in love again. it may not be the first lgbt show I watched, but it will always be my favorite.
p.s: there's one kiss scene in episode 5 (I think) and it's seriously the best kiss scene I have ever witnessed

The story is great, although slightly rushed, more towards the end than anything. If they'd had a longer length of the series it'd likely be less rushed but they did SO well with what they had. Also I really like volleyball so it was fun to have a series with that sport featured (it's always football or basketball that you see and I am bored of those).
THE CAST WOW Zach and Fandy are two of my most FAVOURITE actors after having seen this series. I literally love them both and their chemistry is absolutely AMAZING. The other cast members (who's names I can't remember, sorry uwu) are also amazing, they all deserve so much. 19283/10 for this.
The music in this show is amAZING so 10/10. I love it.
I'm pretty sure I've rewatched the kissing scenes more than 5 times and I've been watching clips religiously of the series. Really worth watching and I might rewatch it sometime just for fun.

Basically the whole point of the show and the ost perfectly embodied this message.
Once again, History writer nailed it.
Chemistry on point.
Soundtrack on point.
Acting on point.
Dialog on point.
Secondary couple made me cry harder than the main, but ok the whole aspect of an injured lead was maintained he doesnt just go and get a magical recovery procedure. The slowly revealing of characters and their motivations, everything was done well. But again that damn chemistry hit me in the feels every time!

It's cute, sweet, with adorable characters and great actors portraying them, the camera work is pretty good also, and the shots of them playing volleyball are very nice.
I honestly can't recommend this enough. It's just a breath of fresh air when it comes to bl romance.

I can't stop rewatching it. I love how they included volleyball into this. It's so amazing.
My favorite thing about this series is the character development. You saw how Xia Yu Hao used to be like a bad boy and you saw his character change and how he grew to love volleyball. The chemistry between Xia Yu Hao and Zi Xuan is *chefs kiss*
This mini-series is super simple, short, and cute. All in these 8 episodes you see: character development, volleyball, studying, and love all mixed together! And it's not even hard to understand when watching this series!
Their story is told perfectly and it isn't fast or slow-paced. It goes at the right speed.
Also, the acting is perfect. Those kissing scenes did not seem awkward at all. None of the scenes really seemed that awkward. It felt like the actors put their everything into acting for this series.
10/10 would recommend

I think only in part two they might explain more about the character. Though the drama is about love, they have equally given importance to the theme of volleyball. Volleyball is the main part which connects all the characters in the drama and its quite a refreshing scene out of the cliches that usually exist in dramas. A sport based gay drama...already waiting for part two....

A wonderful series. Two continuing storylines, but the 'volleyball story' is the main one which we follow through all the way from episode 1 to 8. The actors are totally compelling to watch, their characters clear and distinctive and consistent, and the relationship is developed in ways which are intensely romantic - but also very erotic - AND actually interesting and indeed plausible. Many gripping scenes - love scenes, though not always. (Some very ardent boy-on-boy kissing - though only ... 2 or 3 times? - plus intense, loving looks conveyed entirely by expressive eyes.) I'll definitely watch it again in the future! A happy ending which is very, very satisfying. Was this review helpful to you?

Definitely the best bl drama I've ever watched. It was so short, I really wanted to see more of them, but since, there will be a second season I dont mind. Anyways. The acting. The acting is truly amazing, they gave us their best. /also the actors are so handsome/ The story, the ending, overall this series left me speechless. It felt so real. And ofc it was really funny!! The progress of falling in love/or how to say that/ is really well portrayed. There wasn't only love and fluff. They also showed us hardships. How people can't handle failing in things, but mostly failing in themselves.
I recommend, and 'd definitely re-watch it.

Me semble surcoté.

PORÉM! acabei gostando no decorrer! (não assistiria de novo)

10/10 Recommended bl series
10/10 Recommend BL series! The show offers anthology from different kind of modern BL romance. The first season is kind of cheesy and cliche, but trust me it gets better in S2 (if you like, skip S1 and go directly to S2) because each season has its own individual stories, so you can watch from any of them. The acting is a lot better in other seasons too and the chemistry between the characters. I did enjoy the episodes in first season too.
I highly recommend the second season's History: Crossing the Line. It's great love story where the jock Xia Yu Hao falls in love with Qui Zi Xuan a volleyball leader. The characters are very different but that way complete each other, which makes them great together. It's wonderful to see how Yu Hao falls for him, and eventually so does Zi Xuan. It's a great modern love story with also funny side characters. Totally worth the watch, need more seasons of them!
History3: Trapped has to be one of my ultimate tops. It's where police Meng Shao Feng falls in love with gang member Tang Yi with tragic past, having made mistakes for right reasons. The plot itself is very well written and interesting to keep you going with plot twist you don't see coming. It's great character chemistry from the start and Tang Yi's character development is incredible to the ending where I couldn't stop crying. I loved their "cat & mouse" game in the beginning and seeing how they grow from enemies to "half friends", friends and boyfriends. It has to be one of the best BL stories I have seen, and will be watching again.
