Die Now (2017)

Both dramas have a similar concept which is the gaming world. The characters have to use their superior problem-solving skills and intellect to win the challenges in order to survive.

Both dramas are about a mysterious and cruel survival game with money prizes. Die Now is more sci-fi themed.

seemingly normal people playing death games with money rewards . some kinda sporty gf thing going on (kang saebyeok // chun xu xiang) . gaping plotholes in both .

They are similar because they both take place in some virtual world where peple are trying their best to survive.

Both have (very) smart male leads. That's about it, but they have a similar.. atmosphere you could say.

Similar concept with the game. The protagonist goes through trials to reach his final goal of saving his gf.

If you want to see a series with games and betrayals, then I recommend the Kakegurui franchise. In this series, people gamble in exchange for money or even as far as their lives.

Both dramas see the main character enter VR death games, solving puzzles and mysteries along the way.

TBH watching The Spirerealm has made me want to re-watch Die Now lol, it's a great drama.

The Liar Game series and Die Now have a similar feeling of playing a game with elaborate puzzles against other players. In both dramas the stakes are high, in Die Now it being the players' life, in Liar Game it being debt and money. Both games have a mysterious origin.
