When I first read the summary for it I went in thinking Blue Salt was going to be this big gritty action extravaganza. Yeah well this movie was the total opposite! Yes there's guns and gangsters fighting but the story was more based on human emotion. I didnt really like the romance in this cause to me it felt more like an attachment/friendship. The ending was predictable and unpredictable at the same time.
The acting by SSK was really really good! I hardly recognized her from her High Kick series. The main gangster guy was a good actor but i didnt really feel the chemistry with SSK's character. It was nice seeing quite a few actors who are known more for their drama roles.
Overall this movie was good but it was missing something to make it stand out for me.

Story::
The story in this movie develops well. It's about a retired gang member who is on the verge of inheriting a gang-kingdom. But there's an assassin out for him (SSK) who is just a high-school sharpshooter that got caught with the wrong crowd. The story is interesting; however, I felt confused at one point trying to figure out who the bad guy was and who was the King.
Acting/Characters::
Played very well. I'm never disappointed by SSK's acting. The characters developed really well, you know get what's going on in their heads.
Music::
Fit the mood, and enjoyable.
Overall:: 9/10

Unexpectedly good movie
Usually I find Korean movies weird and usually at the end of the film I would ask myself, "what the hell did I wasted my time for?" But this movie exceed my expectation. It is a story that's a bit heavy in terms of the gangster genre but it highlighted the good side of it's plot which is knowing what your happiness is. Once you know what you wanted no matter how simple it is it will give you the best satisfaction in life.For the casting a usually hate Se Kyung because I feel like she's always overacting but given that she doesn't talk much in this movie, I came to like it. I think serious roles are better for her. With the 'ahjussi-agassi' love story I am not too sure if I like it but at least I didn't find it gross.
This is unexpectedly a good movie so I am looking forward for more K-Movies that will take me aback.

Nice watch with lots of plot holes
STORY - a former gangster wants to be a chef, even a not so good one. A teenager appears, love between them, a sort of love based more in friendship and maybe the dream of happiness.But he was targeted to be killed...
CAST - good FL, nice ML. The characters, except FL were not so interesting so acting could shine...
MUSIC - nothing special to me.
REWATCH - never. I enjoyed it, but there is not a single scene to remember.
OVERALL - I like and I am happy to have watch this movie. But there are so much better, even with this age gap love, more friendship love...

The movie had potential, the main actor and actress did a very good job at portraying their characters and there were a few action filled scenes that made me want to continue watching it. But overall, I would have to say that the movie was just a little bit too slow for me.
