Chatinho

Two Stars

I only made it fifteen minutes into the episode before I started skipping through. The execution is really quite boring. I wish I could like it though as it is an interesting premise.

Acting - I do not understand

I was surprised and disappointed of how the scenes were created. For example scene where the boy catch the girl, really?? ... In real life you catch a girl accidentally and you are so careful to not put your hands on her??? And after you flip, you stay for a few seconds in stand bye.... And after that you look ashamed about the incident.... No way.... In this movie this kind of scenes, makes me to dislike watching this drama.

Loved this episode!

sksjs I honestly loved the fact that Kyung Suk was able to see through Soo Ah’s lies!! It’s refreshing to see the male lead being the one to warn the female lead (from an antagonist or just someone who's deceitful) this time around. Also, that ending scene. I was cheering for Mi Rae when she stood up to that senior dude. I’m so happy she finally spoke up! The scene with Mi Rae’s dad having her picture in his car was so heartwarming because the message was the true people in your life will love you for who you are, no matter what, and I loved how it was the dad that was able to portray that! :))

7/10 - Keep it a secret . . . my old face.

Mi Rae: "Keep it a secret."
Kyung Suk: "What?"
Mi Rae: "My old face. Keep it a secret."

At first I thought Kyung Suk might only be interested in Mi Rae because she clearly is avoiding him. She clearly isn't interested in him like the other women. So judgemental of me. I know! It became clear that he was clearly aware of Mi Rae in middle school. Aware of her enough from the bus stop and her dancing feet. (Feet don't lie!!! I know so cheesy!) To remembering what perfume she wore. Even though she snapped at him due to the bullying. (I can't even imagine being so bullied that you have to defend wearing perfume!) He saw her. He sees her now.

I feel the warm and fuzzies!

I also enjoy that the episode takes the time to reveal bits of Kyung Suk live. It's always been a pet peeve of mine when dramas leave the male leads as a "mystery". AKA what i not fondly call a blank slate male lead. There's a peek into his life with his brother that let's us know he's well off, but has a cold family life. His bother and sister are warm. His dad a cold politician and mother issues. She's alive, but dead to him. When is the last time a drama has let that much out about a male lead in one episode. No really.

There is one thing that felt very odd from the first episode, and still does. Mi Rae's father doesn't know she's received plastic surgery. Her mother hasn't told him. So he's walking up to her welcoming orientation (or whatever it was) and Mi Rae's mother still hasn't told him! I mean, what did she think was going to happen? The odd thing is after the heartbreak of them meeting and her father rejecting her, it doesn't haunt Mi Rae after. Or at least from that moment on in this episode. It's the one thing that truly feels off with the writing at this point.

The villains of the show set in. Sexual harassment. Especially from the Dog Senior. To the stealthy Soo Ah. The natural beauty "superstar!" Soo Ah is clearly a person who has had attention from her beauty her whole life. MI Rae is her competition. If someone like Mi Rae she clearly can't have that. She needs to take that attention away and put it on herself. Basically she's tricky. Stealthy tricky.

There is something that really bothered me this episode! Mi Rae tells her best friend, Hyun Jung, that she has a friend that will stay by her no matter what happened. I thought she was gonna say "It's you Hyun Jun!" Instead it was Soo Ah. I know Soo Ah came on really nice and supportive to Mi Rae, but I would think it was clear to Mi Rae that her friend has been there for everything. She trusted her with her plastic surgery secret. Hyun Jun didn't seem that upset with the revelation, so maybe it wasn't as crazy as I thought. I don't know.

Soo Ah is clearly a smooth operator. I mean the turn downs she executed are so pro. Clearly she's had many confessions and also played around with many peoples emotions. I'm very curious how this will all play out. Not to mention that I have no doubt she will definitely leak Mi Rae's secret once she finds out.

So I wasn't sure if they could tell if Mi Rae had work done. The actress looks natural to me. So I assume it's either assumptions or when dramas have a stunning woman as the lead who they say is ugly. *sighs* Though I guess Mi Rae didn't say nae or say about whether she did have work done when Soo Ah was playing games.

I really love the feel of this drama. It has some strong themes, but it balances out with a feel good quality. It's also comforting that this second episode was a pretty solid follow up. I hope this drama can continue to keep being better than I could have anticipated. Stories on bullying deserve to have great quality.

Boost your self esteem then only you able to face the world

I like the dialogue when Mi Rae's father said to her that let me take your pic ,I will hang your pic on my car so I get strength and positive energy ,for parents their whole word revolves around their children.....I like all the songs played behind the background music ,when both of them stuck and English song played at the background that I like the most ,too good .after becoming pretty still she has a fear which decrease her self esteem to look it ,before she is better she had everything though she was not pretty it is ok ,not everyone get everything .
