Holy Pearl Episode 32 Reactions
As for the ending in itself, I had set up my mind that the ending would be terrible! All things pointed to it! But after all I'm a bit surprised because they did manage to end well in the "unwell". The only thing that really bother me was that they were really separated. I think thought that we have to look at it from several perspectives:
1 - it's the most realistic ending. I mean she couldn't change the past and he didn't belong in the future, even thought we wanted them to be together forever. I though about it for a time after I finished watching. It is really the most realist ending, even though it's sad and cruel, but they manage to make it their own choice and the baby was there so I guess it wasn’t THAT sad as it could have been;
2 - Wen Tian did say to Mu Lian that there were different kinds of love, and his was for her to be safe and happy. Even though it's stupid to wait 3000 years to just let go and wish the other to be happy. They even decided to live together forever in the forest and he was about to let go of his demon side for her, but well... It explains a part of the decision;
3 - the director did meant to be a sequel so maybe he didn't planed for the ending to be like this;
4 - the music also tells us that their love is for thousands of years, and that eternity may be long or short but that they will love each other beyond that. It is partly and explanation, partly a warning to what was going to happen;
5 - and finally, well she still has the amulet, and the star, and she is part Xian Yue so she has the power, so I guess she can travel back and forth and things could change. There could be a new danger and he could come to live with her, or she could... I don't know, after an ultrasound discover that her baby has horns and go back for safety. XD
(I think that that is very likely. I mean, if you are being realistic then you have to see that he is a half demon, so unless the baby is born a human by a miracle, then he could have the strength, the magic, the power and/or physical characteristics of a half demon).
In short: the ending was bad, but anyway I think anything could happen now. And if the director doesn't have the chance to make the sequel (witch I still hope he will) them well... We'll just have to picture what happen next to our liking. =)
I mean, I loved the fights. I loved how all 4 of them faced off against Shi You Ming. But..I felt the death of Hu Ji was kind of rushed, but at the same time I can understand she panicked and that got her killed.
But Wu Dao...really...following a butterfly? I told myself "suspend your disbelief!" And tried to get over it...but then....then...they give me that ending!??! I agree with the previous review...Why? Wae? Por que?!?!? Why did it end that way, that's so depressing...Couldn't he have like appeared somewhere...? He was half dragon, he wasn't immortal, but he could live a pretty darn long time! Why not give a few more and let them reunite in the future? :(
Great battle I knew he was gonna get a chance to ride on his brothers back.
lol a dragon in love with a butterfly.
and WTF wasn't he already over a thousand years old what is 3 thousand more...I mean really...
