Romance is super intense

I am quite amazed at how this lakorn turn out. First talking about James and Ice, I love love love, new pairing. I like seeing the development of each actor and actress when they are acting with others they haven't act with before. So as for pairing go, I did not have a problem.

I really like this 'bad' boy/temper of James character. One thing I really like about Theeruth is that his character is not weak, nor dumb and gullible. Theeruth has a strong character as ML. Also, I really love James in that SWAT outfit, he look super hot. Hopefully we get to see him act in a lakorn of police work/detective.

I don't watch any of Ice lakorn but I will say I love how she is able to portray some of the hard emotions and feelings in some scenes. Especially on the episode when Rawee got kidnap. Everyone in that scene, their emotion were so raw.

Storyline, maybe I am bias but I love this type of plot. If you watch westerner movie, this gave me the vibe of Knives Out and A Murder Mystery. So of course I'm going to love this type of plot where there's multiple villain going after FL. I don't think I ever watch any Thai lakorn that is this type of genre, it is pack with action, mystery, comedy and romance. Although for the romance, there is not a lot of romance going on here. But, you can feel the love in the air between Theeruth and Rosita. Every time they are together you can gradually see the feelings they develop for one another. The way Theeruth caresses for Rosita when he save her from danger, the way he get frustrated when Rosita is being harmed by the villains. Trust me you did not need any kiss/intimate scene to feel the love they have. I love a lakorn where both ML and FL chemistry are so strong and noticeable that you are able to naturally see their love develop throughout each episode.

As for the other plot goes, I like that they definitely did not drag the storyline. They get to the point and no unanswered questions. This lakorn is definitely more action related. I love that the first episode pretty much got right to the plot, not building up unnecessary scene that doesn't make sense. I actually like how episode two was quite heavy with all the villain going after Rosita. You think you know who's the main villian but you really don't because each one have a different motive.

Overall, I genuinely feel like all the characters acted their role good. The characters story was well developed, I love the 'hate' relationship the leads have at the start.

Give this lakorn a try, it is so underrated. Just because its rating was not high or over the top does not mean it was a total flop. Rating is quite bias in my opinion.

100% Crime/Investigation Thriller, Little to No Romance

If you're watching this for the romance, please note that this is the slowest of slow-burn romances, not just for the OTP, but for all the secondary pairings as well. There is very little skinship whatsoever, and where there is skinship, it's very demure and chaste.

The romance, in this drama, is in stark contrast juxtaposed to the topic, that can be a trigger warning, of underage human trafficking for sexual purposes, the language sometimes used when dealing with any villain, and all the underlying topics that go with it.

The good point about this drama is the Crime Thriller aspect coupled with the fantasy imagery. It's an interesting story. However, it's gutted by the poor and choppy editing, and a script that finds the most outlandish ways to constantly let people "get-away" from law enforcement. Often in a scene, the characters will act completely moronic, and when that doesn't work, in the editing, you'll find you'll ask yourself frequently, "...she was just right there, how did she get over here? Teleport???..." especially, in the fact, that this isn't THAT kind of "fantasy" drama.

If you can set aside your desire for steamy romance, and having to have everything fit in a realistic manner, this drama is still a bit entertaining. Trying to figure out from all the "clues" given in the imagery can peak your interest enough to stick with watching it, just to know what was done, who did what to who, and what was the end result.

Fantasy overload

I waited at least 6 months for the drama to air and I watched the episodes every week when they were just released.

I personally loved the drama and often when I watch drama while they are still airing, I lose interest because it takes too much time or I don't feel like watching it anymore. However, this drama kept me watching. The drama kept me curious every episode.

I will break down my review in 2 parts: the story itself and the characters plus the actors.

The story:
I'm a big fantasy and magic fan therefore I was so excited to start this drama. The magic did not disappoint. However, it was lots and lots of action and mystery in it. I am personally not really an action fan, but the mystery and suspense was amazing. Every episode I was (especially at the beginning) asking myself like "Who did it? I can't guess!" So lots of suspense. The romance was okay. It was quite cute and it was definitely there every episode but on a low fire. I feel like it could've been more but that's just me being a sucker for romance.

The characters plus the actors:
Rose is a great character. Loved it. Sometimes a bit too selfless, but her character was also portrayed as strong and sassy so definitely not a weak ass woman. Which I do often see in lakorn (sadly enough).
Thee (?) is like the guy you don't wanna get into an argument with because he will be forever salty:) During the series, Thee was portrayed as the hero/savior but also as the most sweetest guy ever. Definitely lovely to see!
I loved the side characters too. Like the sister of Thee was annoying at the beginning, however her situation wasn't quite well described at the beginning. At the end, she was cute too.
Overall, my favorite characters were the little child (little adopted sister of Thee) and the French old woman. The child was just adorable and she acted so well for her age. And the French woman was sweet, fun to watch and sometimes a little creepy. (Ps. The actress who played Rose either NAILED the French accent or she had a voice over. I'm glad they finally nailed a foreign language in an asian drama. Normally, I feel like it sounds too awkward and too... like weird.)

Overall, I'd totally recommend this drama if you like fantasy and suspense/mystery.

I loved it and I might someday go back and rewatch it. Especially because I loved how it was filmed. Really beautifully.

I hope my review made some people interested or convinced someone to watch the drama.. if not.. too bad;)

Amazing Storyline

This is my very first time making a review on mydramalist since I decided to create mydramalist account for this lakorn.

I am a newby in lakorn world but I can tell that this is not your common typical lakorn. There are no forced kisses, slaps / kisses, frustating scenes, "let go of me" or something scenes, etc. This is an action-thriller lakorn that will make you more excited and keep anticipating for each episode.

I really like how the story develops. The villians come one by one to attack Rosita with different motives and it makes us wonder who the real villian is.

The romance between main leads is very intense. Their feelings develops naturally in each episode. Even though there aren't many romantic scenes, we can feel their love surrounding us. In every sweet scene, they are very cute and adorable. No cringe at all. As for me, the romance is enough and just right.

One of my favorite scenes is the scene in front of minimarket when Rosita and Theeruth managed to escape from the villians. Through their eyes, we can tell that love has start to develop, and it will become deeper and deeper.

James Ji and Ice do a really great job, and so the other actors, they can portray their characters very well. And Rawee really stole my attention. She is very cute and refreshing in every scene she plays. I believe everyone got their eyes for Rawee.

I really like the OST. It's suit with the story and the feeling as well. As for me, I have rewatched this lakorn for many times while waiting for the next eps to come out. Now, when it has reached the final eps, it's my pleasure to rewatched it again and again sometimes.

Overall, this is a great lakorn with great actors and great story. Really worth to watch but it's underrated. Try to watch it, with no bias, and you will gradually fall for it.

If you are looking for a romance drama... this is not it. The romance is very light .... nothing intense and builds up slowly. What I liked about this drama is that it is so different from your usual Thai dramas. No slap/kiss, no psychotic female villains and no unreasonable misunderstanding between the main leads. This is a mystery and suspense drama..... every episode was intense... never draggy and I didn’t have to fast forward any bit. The main leads acting were amazing.... my first drama of Ice and she is amazing. I’m become a huge fan of James Ji as well... he’s a natural. They wrapped up every single piece of the drama really well. I’m so glad they showed a lot of sweet moments between the main couple in the last episode. Loved it!

No one can escape from fate

Honestly speaking, this is the second Thai drama that I had finished? My perception of Thai dramas are like more towards noisy quarrels or crazy slapping etc, so this fantasy-thriller genre is very new to me and something I like. Definitely, for those looking for heavy romance drama, this might not be for you since the romance just serves as a subplot to the entire storyline. However, it fits fine to my palette because I never liked stories that were purely romance. I like elements of suspense, crime and thrill, just like this on.

Story
So FL (Rose) inherited the ability to see one's future through the touch of a rose after a deadly accident she faced. She has this mission to use this ability to guide people to doing the right things. She crosses path with ML (Theerut) whom happens to be an actor and started off on the wrong footing when her prophecy suggests him with a playboy nature , a big no no for a person under limelight. While her predictions eventually came true ML still carries ill feelings and irksome feeling because of his own misconceptions towards Rose. They reunite again 6 years later at a community event, where she predicted the fates of 6 celebrities/reknown figures, with Theerut included. She eventually saw her and Theerut ended up as a couple and reels in shock. However, this drew the paranoia of the participants, whom each has their own secret they are afraid of exposing. Rose then starts to encounter life-threatening situations with the assailants being one of the prophesized. While Rose initial suspect was Theerut, he happens to save Rose from death several times and they eventually form an alliance to capture the culprit. Of course, along the way they resolve their initial misunderstandings of each other and fall in love.

It's nice you can guess the suspects and to see who get eliminated along the way, but each story was heartwarming and has a story to tell. Like Lyla being fixated on a fake personality, but eventually finding solace with her family and coming true to herself; Khun Ying coming clean to her sins, and atoning herself & reconciling with her Dad. Rin being conned by Thanapol for love but she definitely redeemed herself when she exposed his crimes! No words for Wuttikorn & Thanapol who died in the ends because of their own sins and wrongdoings. All in all , the drama just tells you you cannot escape from your fate, but you can decide how you face it. Can't escape from karma if you do the wrong things, it's just a matter of time.

Acting
With my limited exposure to thai dramas, its really my first time seeing the dramas of these actors. I would say I am loving the dynamics and acting so far? Ice has such a pretty smile & James is good looking as ever (heard about him before) ~ really love the personalities of the 2 leads. The secondary leads are nice as well, especially Paul and Kratai whom liked the main leads but they did not do crazy things for their love of whatsoever which is a plus. I liked that most of the characters are cool headed and with the intelligence I expect. Especially the mothers of Rose & Theerut. Rawee is also such a darling and I really loved her acting. Overall there are some parts of the drama that's predictable, but I really liked how the prophecies from before and pieces of evidences from before eventually plays a part later in solving mysteries and deducing the crimes and suspects.

All in all, I think it's a good watch? I previously watched Roy Leh Marnya but couldnt finish it because I just couldnt comprehend the logic and personalities of the leads despite the good acting and chemistry. This drama was a good watch to me, thought i felt that there could me more romance elements to justify how the leads/ secondary couples fell in love (e.g Paul & Kratai? like they just moved on almost immediately lol and got together in the end). There's a tinge lack of development. Otherwise, it was fine ~ anw the music was good love it :)

Relaxing

The plot is about solving misterious events around who is trying to kill FL. Along with this is love blooming between FL and ML.
I like that writers give these 2 spaces to turn from hatred to understanding to love. I can feel their changes, their love, no need for kisses. The main story is interesting indeed.
Superstition ability of FL through touching roses is strange, new and creative. Maybe some people don’t fond of Ice visual. However, she can act. The more you watch her acting, the more you feel better.
Moreover, opening music is really good. It gives me a vibe of trendy Kpop music.
I will give this lakorn another try if I need something to relax myself.

Mystery and intrigue, mild and slow burn romance

I have never seen so many red herrings in a show before! The plot was like an onion, the more you peel the more layers get revealed particularly the villains.
The romance is not the intense or passionate kind. It's a slow burn that builds up into something enduring. It was lukewarm and not really thrilling, it was just a little sweet but i liked the progression of the romance. It was realistic.
I didn't like that the villians were revealed one after the other and dealt with from one episode to the next until the real one was exposed. I would've like the suspense to go on until the later episodes of the series.

I liked the whole rose prophesy thing but i also found it hilarious. She doesn't even see the past but the future so why were they so scared of her knowing their secrets which should be in the past. They knew they were still going to do bad otherwise why be afraid of what she saw when it hadn't even happened yet. But i guess it was because of the way she reacted that put them on edge.
The soundtrack didn't really leave an impression except maybe the opening number. The instrumental was used severally in the show.
The acting was good, nothing exceptional, everyone sold their parts. The little girl took the cake.
I would definitely watch again.
