It’s VERY Good
Although I was intrigued just by reading the synopsis of the drama, I still went into this not knowing what to actually expect. Before watching, I read a few reviews and comments and saw how a good bit of people actually didn’t like it bc they felt it was highly over exaggerated and unbelievable but trust me, it’s not. Parenting like that of this show actually happens in parts of the world and once those viewers understand that, they’ll realize that this drama isn’t as fictitious as they want to believe it is.Anyway, on the the actual drama: First of all, the actresses/actors deserve awards bc I’ve seen so many shows/dramas/etc. in my 22 years of living but never have I seen such amazing on screen chemistry and talent. The only other drama I can say even comes close is Just Between Lovers.
The story and plot are both intriguing with many twists and surprises to keep the viewers hooked. And don’t even get my started on the ending omg. I swear, there NEEDS to be a season two but I’d be okay if there isn’t.
Please everyone, just go watch this. Some parts may make you want to reach through the screen and strangle a few ppl, but you’ll keep coming back for more. I guarantee it.

The acting was Oscar worthy by almost all the actors and that makes watching this drama even more exciting.
I am so emotional right now. This drama has a place in my heart that no other drama has. I resonate with this drama so much.
I hope I get to see something more brilliant like this in future.
At first I thought it was overrated. But I am now sure after watching it that it deserves more love. As it's a Masterpiece

It is not what it seems
Started watching, not expected how things will turn out.Do not want to spoil Joy od watching...
You just need to watch...
Anyway, for me, it is very serious drama, from start as Paradise with lots od succesfull and ritch People.
Soon, things will became more and more serious and dangerous, With psyho caracters and families crushing apart.. And school system too.
In the end, things became almost unpleasant to watch.
Happilly...
Last episode is relaxation after all.
Script and idea excelent acting too.
Watch this People and think about it

it's too good
Sky castle really is worth the hype. I absolutely love how chaotic the drama is, the drama is spectacular. all the characters were absolutely perfect. I felt like each actor and actress nailed the characters that they were playing. Absolutely enjoyed. Not knowing like some things. I love the Korean drama that gives us mystery. I watched this one with a friend, and we had our jaws on the floor after every episode It totally has a rewatch value which most dramas these days don’t have that, so it’s amazing. Was this review helpful to you?

Made me intouch with my emotions
When I finished watching this show I’ve never thought that I could feel what I felt when I finished this show. I’ve watched many dramas but I have never been so in touch of my emotions after watching SKY Castle. When something happy happened I felt happy, when something was funny I laughed and when something was sad I cried my eyes out. No other show has made me think these feelings. When I finished, I couldn’t just help just reflect on society and just realised how much in my life I’ve taken for granted. It sounds sad but after seeing what happened to Kim Hye-Na I’m just so grateful that I have parents who look after me and love me.
There were characters in which truthfully pissed me off but at the same time I couldn’t hate them because they were doing their actions out of greed or love, in the end they all were eaten away by guilt and eventually mellowed out and because decent human beings and lived their lives without lying to themselves. The OST “We All Lie” holds so much meaning to me after finishing SKY Castle because it showed me what lies can do to a person and how it can eat someone inside.
I highly recommend this show for your own enjoyment and also you could learn a life lesson while watching this show like I have and I’m most definitely going to live my life to the fullest and try to change myself.

Decent enough.
In the beginning I would've said this drama was amazing, it was suspenseful, you couldn't predict what was gonna happen next, like when I thought I could predict what was gonna happen next I couldn't which is such a good quality in psychological mysteries with suspenseful parts, I like not being able to tell what's gonna happen. Honestly lots of ups and downs. I think each character had their character development like Yeseo for example she's not annoying to me anymore. However I think Jinhee (Suhans mom) didn't have much progression with her character, it just seemed like one day she became nice, I didn't see much from her although I liked her character in the end. Kim Byungchul did an amazing job protraying Cha Minhyeok. I found it hard for most of this drama to empathize or sympathize with Suim, I know she was supposed to be the hero but it seemed like she thought she could never do any wrong and she was an angel and had some sort of victim mentality however towards the end I started liking her again and feeling bad for everything she went through. I think Hyena was an amazing character, I liked how she wasn't afraid of adults or anything I do wish the ending was better for her but that was the whole point of the drama (real life). I feel like the plot fell through the last two or three episodes, it wrapped up way too fast but I wouldn't have liked it to be any longer. The last episode was okay but it seems like everyone suddenly gets along and is happy when a few of them were just mean to each other like 3 episodes ago, it's such a jump that doesn't make any sense at all. Also what was the ending??? I have no idea what the ending means?? I would say though one thing I loved about this drama was how nice some of the styling was, the clothing was so nice especially Yeseos. Honestly it went downhill at the end and it's so long if you watch this I'd just watch till episode 15, don't watch episode 16-20 it's not worth it, it's just pointless drama and a happy ending. Was this review helpful to you?

The story overall is good, I relate to the story because I have lived similar incidents.. But the ending was too sweet for me as if another writer did it, if Hiye na didn’t die the ending will match the story but with her death which passed by as nothing & meaningless I didn’t like it. In the end the solution for the writer was not to study which didn’t fix anything but ignores the whole problem & present to us how spoiled the kids are because their parents will spend on them so they can do what they like. On the other hand, Seo Jin which was the main problem & villain for me, gets everything, the man, the happy ending, her mother in law liked her, her daughter changed which also gets everything in the end without a time to process the change or repent their sins.as for the acting it was good though sometimes they either overreacted or was impassive & has no emotions.. but Kim seo Hyoung did a marvelous job as her role & acting skills was amazing.. which was the best amongst all.
Overall it was a good drama with lots of incidents but the twist in the end ruined the dark theme of it.

Realistic, Touching (Almost personal), Relatable, PERFECT.
I couldn't understand the hype when this was the most popular show at the time. I only watched a few minutes of the first episode and was so confused that I didn't continue it. But now that I have, one word comes to mind: WOW.I love everything about this drama. The pacing was perfect—not too fast to feel rushed, but also not too slow to bore you. The soundtrack was also perfect and blended so well into the scene. The theme song, "We all lie," was really perfect for this drama. So many scenes resonated with the song, and it's so pleasing to listen to that it really gets you in the feels.
What made this drama so perfect for me was how it showcased the education system and how accurately it presented academic pressure on students, especially from parents. As the eldest daughter in an Asian household, I can confirm it really is like this and that it's so normalized and common. It shows the extent parents go to ensure their child lives a "successful" life; what more from those of high privilege?
I came in here expecting my blood to boil each episode, as I did with Penthouse (as I was told they were similar, ps. they're not) but regarding how realistic it was, I could only be in awe. The development of the families, both individually and as a group, was very interesting to watch. The comedy laced in this drama was also so natural and so refreshing (in short, not corny), I looked forward to it every episode.
I'm so happy with how the story concluded as well. The events that occurred in the final episode were the culmination of the previous episodes, so it didn't feel rushed at all. It didn't feel much like a drama, it felt like viewing the personal lives of these people and I commend the writers and staff behind this show for creating such wonderful craft that can resonate with most audiences. Kudos.

If I must point out, there are only two things I did not particularly enjoy: The one-dimensionality of Woo Joo's character, and the not very enjoyable humor coming out of Jin Jin Hee's family, it got a little boring after a while and I found myself skipping her scenes entirely.
You must watch this drama, if only for the villain, and that is reason enough I assure you.

Material success versus true happiness?
This show is definitely worth the hype and record breaking ratings. It's tightly scripted, compelling, multi faceted with an ensemble cast of drama veterans who deliver very convincing performances. The social satire is well portrayed with some excellent acting and dialogue, it may appear high brow on the surface but I found myself watching back to back episodes once I got into the stride of things; this is due to the excellent script which is cleverly written with little to no loose ends.
This show tends to reveal information in an unfolding manner, so every episode peels back a new layer and facet of the story and characters and I think this is what keeps it so entertaining. You don't get the whole story at once, as each event unfolds new tidbits are revealed to keep the viewer fully engaged, so the pacing is tight and consistent. This is where I think the OST was used to maximum positive effect; the song "We All Lie" was so very well applied, every time this song played I knew something was about to go down, this was so exciting to anticipate.
The entire adult cast of this show is amazingly skilled, I enjoyed the fact that they were in the spotlight for a change since these actors usually play supporting roles, they really shine whilst bringing their characters to life and all their skill and experience takes centre stage. Each family was so clearly defined that it didn't take me long to figure out who's who.
The Show's social commentary about the parents' and often children's unhealthy obsession with obtaining top grades in school is delivered in a theatrical and sometimes over the top fashion and this is what gives the show it's special identity and uniqueness, the social satire and dark comedy aspect of it, showcasing the characters' ambition, greed and pretention.
The power plays and stringent adherence to social hierarchies contributes much into how the characters interact with each other.
At the end the Show adequately conveys character growth and plot resolution, I think the last episode went a long way to show us how each character was now living and behaving after mending their ways so to speak.
Overall this Show is bold and I think it achieves what it sets out to do, I thoroughly enjoyed it because it's so polished and very expertly written and acted. Bravo!
