My Shining Girl (2012)

I’ve seen the main actress in a lot of things and really like most of the characters she’s played. The premise also sounded like this drama might be a lot of fun so I wanted to give this a try even though I didn’t know who the male leads were…

Story- The first episode had potential so I was excited to watch the rest of the episodes but they turned out to be just average writing. It’s your typical predictable romcom but they kind of let me down with the entertainment theme cause they could’ve did more with it. The romance was a letdown also with an ending that had no resolution and basically brings our heroine back to square one.

Acting/Cast- So Yi Hyun basically carried the show. Her character was awesome and just so magnetic. As for the male leads their acting was passable but they just weren’t able to get me to care about their characters. The supporting cast was good enough but their characters were forgettable.

Music- I actually ended up liking the OST and will download when I get the chance.

Rewatch- Since the story wasn’t boring it’s rewatchable but I have no intentions of watching it a second time.

Overall while Glowing She wasn’t boring or anything it’s one of those dramas that had potential but fell flat. You won’t remember it down the line.

It's a light, heartwarming drama that you'd watch when you have nothing better to watch. You've probably seen the story line before, where the famous superstar falls in love with a nobody. Although it's not really original, it still manages to keep you entertained. I love how the main characters interact with one another. It's amusing to see them quip back and forth with each other. One of the main things this drama had going for it was So Yi Hyun. You just can't hate her or her character. She's just so lovable.

The drama is only 12 episodes long, so the show didn't drag on more than it should have. It was short, sweet, and simple. The ending, while it wasn't bad, it wasn't all that great either. It just felt a bit unfinished. However, I think it's the writers' way of saying that life goes on.

I watched this drama in two parts...I was surprised it was only 12 episodes, as I felt it did not finish.

Cutting to the chase, this drama was light, funny and cute. I rated the story with a 6. It was fair and the script was funny at times - the story was a bit of a cliche, but the acting made up for it.

The opening song was one which made me hum alongside it. I'm guessing it's because SS501 star was a main lead. I'd rewatch this show, only to see if I missed anything. Overall, the show was decent, the actors were funny at times - and all I can remember was that their over acting had me in stitches at times.

WATCH THIS IF YOU WANT SOMETHING THAT IS NOT SERIOUS! ;)

After watching I just felt like what was the point? It was fun at the start and I couldn't wait for the romantic scenes of this so called rom com and who she would pick etc. But it never came she just went around in circles until the end with no resolution or real depth to the drama. I just felt the main lead was a good actress and she was trying her best with the script and plot she had but no matter how good her acting was everything else let it down. A huge disappointment and I kind of felt cheated after finishing it. Would only recommend it if you were really really bored.

This one wins the award for the most annoying lead actress. The performance was over the top awful even before the witnessing of countless dining scenes with food falling out of her mouth during dialogue or listening to a perpetual sound track of her slurping noodles. Cringe fest. Any other scene without the lead was like a respite and actually enjoyable. The remainder of the cast and their parts were well done. Thankfully, for them it was only twelve episodes. If you want to see a drama about producing drama and TV, "The Producers" or "The World That They Live In" are by far superior.

This drama was on my list for a long time but i didn't watch it.Finally when I started to watch the drama I was saying that its good comedy drama.You could laugh all the way you watch this drama (I'm still laughing).Watching this drama I remembered some others drama.Seeing Kang Min, I remembered Dokko Jin (of The Greatest Love) alot.
The things I liked in this drama is the acting of all three main lead. I liked the character of PD No alot.
The thing i personally don't like is the storyline of this drama.Plus the drama is really a slow in tempo.At some points you may even think,"whats the point in watching this!!" but the next moment there is something interesting.Thats what keep the drama on going.When I checked the rating of this drama I was amazed that it was a hit....Well I watched it to end & all i can say atleast I didn't waste my time & I'm laughing.
P.S: The kissing scene of Kang Min & Jun Ji Hyun was really bad or it was the mistake of camera men.

Before I began watching it, I haven't had big expectations. But it turned out better than I thought. The length was ideal for me not to get bored and thinking about dropping it.

The story was new for a Korean drama: a woman in her 30s wanting to be a main writer. Her road is full with obstacles but in the end she makes it. The ending though was quite uninspired and bland. All that trouble for nothing?

The acting was good and the cast was well chosen.

The OST was really nice.

To be honest, I wouldn't watch it again, maybe some moments from it but overall it was a pleasant watch.

Клюнула я на эту дорамку, потому что приглянулись промочки, всякие разные, мальчик-идол тоже ничего так. Ну, лучше так и оставила всё...статически, потому что смотреть в движении это невозможно. Какие же тут бабы все страшные, пластические операции изуродовали почти всех мне уже страшно начинать смотреть современные дорамки. Мальчик играть не умеет, еще не вырос. В целом, итог печален, комедия - якобы, искры - нет, скукотища и дрожь от женского каста. И они еще все стервы.
