The story itself was not something extraordinary but the characters do so well throughout the show that the story kinda takes a secondary place, at least for me personally. Apart from the writing though, the actors did their very best. Jin Goo was phenomenal at playing such an eccentric role. He was mysterious some of the time and grounded at other times, but mostly eccentric and uncontainable. Seo Eun Soo was very believable(even though her role was a bit annoying at times but that only goes to show how well she performed). Yoon Park and Chae Jung Ahn had their own level of uniqueness(and Chae's role was a badass). Jung Sang Hoon started annoying for me but the more the show progressed, the more I liked him. At the end he was just as phenomenal as Jin Goo for me personally. Lee Soon Jae was brilliant as well and and matched very well with Jin Goo's character as he was like a mentor to him and the only person that could really set him straight. Lots of comedy in this show by many of the actors.
I'd rewatch it later on just for the performances alone.

If you liked Good Manager (Chief Kim, or whatever you want to call it!) then it's similar humour style to that.
Most of the characters are relatively "normal" but the main lawyer whose nickname is "Goethe" is quite seriously over the top and was the main reason I took a while to warm up - they hit you at full speed with his characters weirdness - but, stick with it, you will almost certainly warm up to his character and it becomes all the more amusing later on when other characters start imitating him to great effect.
Fundamentally it's a legal drama / comedy, there's no notable romance involved (not strictly true, but it's a total side plot), and it's about a law firm called B+G and one of their former team, an ace lawyer Go Tae Rim who is now out on his own and is all about the money money money.
Major high point for me - unlike so many other legal dramas this one excels at pointing out that a lawyers job is to represent their client as best they can, it is NOT to seek out "justice" and the show does a good job to highlight WHY a lawyer cannot do that. Whether the client is right or wrong is not your job to determine, it's the system, if you get a bad person off their charge you're not at fault, the prosecution are for not doing a better job. In this way, Go Tae Rim appears brutal and single minded - but one of the best "true" representations of being a lawyer i've seen in a show.
The FL is amazing, whether it's being serious in the court room, funny and delightful in other scenes or painfully hurt and suffering as she deals with a case she is involved in at the start, the range she shows is fantastic. I'm definitely going to be watching more of her work. She was also in Romantic Doctor Season 1 and a guest on Hotel Del Luna as well as a few others.
The ladies in this are great characters - whether it's the FL who develops from innocent inexperience to a strong willed, strong minded woman who can take on the world, or Director Min, who is already strong but learns how to let others in.
It's a good story, good ending, some good humour and some great characters. Definitely worth a watch.

Nothing we can expect from this drama. Throghout the way they presented was felt more over dramatic and cliché. Some combination scenes of main two lead characters are good and watchable. I think if there is a bit of romance or something like that it may be even more interesting. I dropped after 11 the episode episode
Its only my own opinion. This is drama was a bad experience for me and a total time waste

The problem with the show for me is that they change the focus in law to comedy. Seo Jae In in this is way too naive and innocent and even though there is growth in each episode, it does not make a big impact in other episodes. The most interesting debate i found is more on Seo Jae In and Take Rim (Sorry can't rmb the name) compare to the courtroom.
Seo Jae In in this show does not seem to be cut out to be a lawyer at all. Compare to the Original Jdrama, the jdrama main female lead was shown more of a lawyer in the first episode.
Got to say that the acting itself is good for all the characters.
Will be an Okay or a good show for those who have not watch the original or could not acess the original show for show reasons.

Unleashing Laughter in the Legal Arena
In summary, while "Legal High" shines in its comedic elements and character growth, it stumbles in delivering a consistently captivating storyline, especially in its ending. The potential of certain character dynamics remains underexplored. The series falls short in delivering a compelling storyline through its legal cases. Despite this, a commendable aspect is the notable growth exhibited by the lead characters throughout the series. Witnessing Jaein's evolution from a rookie lawyer to a competent lawyers adds a commendable layer of depth to the overall narrative, contributing significantly to the series' appeal.
The series maintains viewer engagement through the amusing persona of Taerim and the unfolding friendship with Jaein. However, the narrative falters in the underdeveloped and inconclusive one-sided rivalry between Taerim and Kiseok. Additionally, the underdeveloped romances, particularly the one involving Jaein and Kiseok, are disappointingly redundant and occasionally perplexing. This aspect could have benefited from more nuanced development and exploration, enhancing the overall emotional resonance of the story.
Regrettably, the series concludes on a somewhat disappointing and hurried note, undermining the buildup established in preceding episodes. The main lawsuits fail to captivate, lacking the riveting appeal seen in the smaller cases the characters tackled, resulting in an unsatisfactory ending. A more robust and satisfying conclusion to the main case could have elevated the overall viewing experience.

Step away ...
Excuse my rant. I'll try to keep it brief. A remake of a Japanese story. This seems more appropriate for 9 year-olds than for anyone who has achieved double digits.
Supposed to be the story of an inexperienced lawyer who is naively trying to be conscientious and ethical, but is roundly abused by everyone, and a mercilessly money-grasping lawyer who never loses a case. Perhaps she's supposed to rub off on him, I dunno. We follow them as they undertake a number of 'hopeless' cases and somehow sweep all logic before them. How? By using emotional appeals, lies, and manipulation that even a three year old would see through.
There's a pretty unbelievable back-story which we are supposed to feel explains the boss's narcissism, but nah.
Our rookie lawyer, who had supposedly decided she would stand up for herself and stop being walked all over, well, to be fair, she sort of does a bit, but is rendered completely speechless by her boss's behaviour which often resembles that of a toddler - actually many toddlers are more mature.
There is also an underlining "thriller" plot, involving an apparently random guy trotting around knifing people almost on a casual basis.
The acting is frankly pretty hammy, the writing is very poor indeed (in my view). I tried to give it a really GOOD chance, because it is clear it's not written for anyone with more than one brain cell. Now, if you like that humour, great, and it may be better written than I can say, and that's fine. But it's just too blunt for me and trying far too hard to stretch what I can bear...
If you like THAT kind of humour, then it might be worth a watch for a laugh, but it is completely unfunny for me.
Oh and the music - not bad in itself, but too loud, too prominent, not fitting the scenes, or else trying too hard to make me cry at fake "emotional" scenes, overall very irritating.
So - no - certainly not for me. Find this really hard to mark because it is so grim: but some of the actors are good actors doing their best with dross - so, I'll stretch this to 3/10 Honestly if I could have given 0 stars in some categories I would have ...

This is a great entertaining comedy that uses the legal system as its setting where the main characters are all related to the judicial system. The main and supporting cast did a great job in bringing these complex characters’ personalities to life. The overall tone of this drama is comedic but it also succeeds in bringing up the humanistic aspects of injustice and its resolutions through the use of the court system. This drama is not focused on any romantic attraction between the lead couple but more on the mutual understanding and respect that developed throughout the duration of the drama gained through a battle of wits and misunderstandings about the male lead that kept coming to light as the drama progresses. Although the antagonists were all bad, selfish, and rotten people to the core, the drama makes light of the circumstances through comedic moments and, at the end, justice is served. Don't look for legal absurdities (it's a comedy after all) and enjoy it!
