Love, crazy things, comedy, love, comedy and more crazy things
I’m totally in love with this drama, It’s so perfect en every single way, the plot is amazing and so well created. The chemistry between the lead characters are extraordinary, I fell in love with them. If I thought that Xiao Nai (Love 020) was the perfect man, I was wrong, Fang Leng is even more than him. I’m completely in love with Fang Leng (Bie KPN)This plot is not boring, I mean there's an alien in it, and you can enjoy every single part thanks to Xiao Qi personality. Also I loved how they created the past of Fang Leng, the jorney of Xiao Qui, the improvement in the relation of the brothers Fang, and everything.
About the romance...
A very solid couple, with an extraordinary actors. Even when the romantically story develops very slow, at last is amazing the cute scenes, the kisses, hugging, and touching .
Definitely if I get a dollar for every time that Fang Leng put Xiao Qi against the wall I would be rich (In Christian Grey form xd)
The love of they is not forced, it is not common, maybe if Xiao Qi was more aware of her feelings, the story would be a litte better , however that doesn’t matter, the chemistry, story, and everything is unique and perfect.

Maybe it’s because the alien character wasn’t well written or well acted, it just felt off and most times ridiculous. The chemistry was tolerable but for an alien driven by hormones I expected more men chasing actions but she was always put off in acting when the man initiated skinship and kisses with her, so she what’s the point of all the attraction of male hormones ??♀️. Anyways you get lots of hugs from the leads when she gets frozen

Started it for the title
To be honest before watching it I thought it would be similar to the korean MLFAS versione because they had kind of the same genre background but it was completely differentThe Female ead had a unique type of character and I loved it she was adorable, the Male lead was super handsome and he has got a real lady killer smile. The soundtracks felt a bit repetitive may be it's because they used it in many scene same ost , they could have showed a bit more of her superpowers because for me it was too little the time they spent on Xiaqui and the revalation part was very important but they just packed up very quickly the ending in the last 3 eps. If only they removed some unnecessary scenes to make it a bit shorter and dedicate more time on the part where Fang Leng discovers her pwers and nature t would definitely look much better

Wan Peng and Hsu Thassapak were so great as the leads and had a lot of chemistry. I thought Wan Peng really pulled off the clueless boy-crazy alien without being annoying. (Maybe a hint of cringeyness at times, but overall I thought she was endearing.) They had plenty of cute moments and kissing scenes, and I laughed so hard when Xiao Qi kept trying to touch his chest. I really loved that this story wasn't instalove for her (just instalust, lol), and she approached everything with a positive attitude. I loved the talking turtle.
If you watched the web drama Fall in Love from this summer, you'll recognize Wang You Jun as Fang Lie, Fang Leng's brother. (I felt like his acting improved here.) His friendship with Xiao Qi offered a lot of fun, playful scenes and I enjoyed the moments between the two brothers as well. I also liked Fang Leng's doctor and assistant, and the "villains" in this drama were very good and provided solid obstacles for our leads.
However, the storyline was a little uneven at times. During episodes 9-13 it felt like the plot was going in circles. While I really loved the two leads and their relationship, I just didn't feel the emotional impact in the last 8ish episodes. Sometimes a moment would occur between them and I would forget how they reached that point. In the last three episodes (26-28), certain storylines seemed to just be set aside and although they were definitely intended to be emotional, I just didn't feel it. But I think the writer(s) did their best to provide a satisfying ending! 28 episodes was a good number, and there are definitely scenes I'd rewatch.
By the way, the behind the scenes clips on YouTube are really fun to watch! It seems like they had a lot of fun filming.

Overall the drama is nice, fluffy, cute, something that you usually expect for a romantic comedy.Story: It's a fictional story with so much promise in the beginning but left me a little disappointed in the end. I like how it started, though it was abrupt and little confusing, by episode 4 or 5 you will start to understand the process. I just wish they showed l Xiaoqi's planet and how they agreed to make her comeback to earth, her spaceship or how she got to earth. Her planet Cape Town will always be mystery to me. Same goes with Fang Leng, his amnesia is very unusual. I would love to have more explanation about it. There's so much depth into it but it was not address cause the story just focused on Xiaoqi and Fang Leng's rollercoaster relationship. Also, Fangleng's step mom, why wasn't she exposed of what she did to him. It's still bothers me that no justice was served. Sometime in the middle the drama became a drag. It was sort of pointless episodes but you just have to get through it.
Characters: There many likeable characters in the story and but also hated characters here. Male lead and female lead are good in their acting BUT, i really can't deny, i am pissed on the FL for being so fickle minded, a little immature and no growth. I really didnt see her character development at all. Maybe because she is an alien(?) But still. The fact that there are few wasted episodes because she can't make up her mind it, her character became a drag. The second male lead is good too. He is okay. Second female lead is some one I hate in this drama. She is a villain, that's her character and she served it well. I love the the other supporting cast. Especially Ms Chai from the restaurant. I am still laughing at the fact that she is watching When We Were Young lol.
Music: I will keep this short. The OST didn't linger on me. It doesn't have the "i like this, i will add this on spotify" factor.
Rewatch: In my own pov, maybe not
P.S. I am disappointed into their kissing scenes. Maybe because I am used to characters opening their mouth when they kissed. Here, they have a lot of kissing scenes, or maybe you can't call it kissing, more on like peck in the mouth kiss lol.

The Perfect Composition Of Drama, Friendship And Love
The plot revolves around the love story between and alien and a rich, hot CEO. This drama had the perfect mixture of love-hate composition and there were not too many misunderstandings. Although both the male and female lead attempted to show off that they were strong, deep down, they were both alone until they met each other. Another good thing about this drama was that they did not pay much attention to the facts and made it too fancy and fantasy type. The journey towards their love and their constant denial made this drama more down to earth. This drama was mostly about fluffiness and cuteness as every time there was a scene revolving around saving the damsel in distress, they nailed it as it was not too extreme. The fact that the female lead Xiaoqi was also powerful and tried her best to protect Feng Leng also touched my heart as they contributed equally in their relationship; although some Xiaoqi seemed too selfish and silly but come on, what more can we expect from an alien ? The character development was lit and every character's own personality and perspective made this drama more fun. Although, there were many loopholes and some things were not cleared, keeping them in the dark made it more sophisticated as they kept the fact that some things cannot be explained in their head while making this storyThe acting and cast were almost perfect and they managed to bring out the details out of the written characters. The chemistry between the male and female lead would not have been possible without such awesome cast. Wang Peng managed to portray Xiaoqi in the most perfect way possible and her cuteness and stupidity was what made this drama more enjoyable. Everytime she smiles, her uneven teeth makes it seem even cuter and their are legit bubbles in my heart
The hotness of the male lead on the other had is on a different level. Everything he does makes him seem so perfect.
The music, however, was not up to the level. It was not catchy and although they were played, They seemed invisible to me. After paying serious attention and listening to it for quiet some time made me like it but it was not something exceptional or out of the box.
The chemistry, romance and cuteness makes this drama worth rewatching but after watching it once or twice all that is left is the fluffiness which I am easily bored of. I would gladly watch it twice but not for the plot instead because of the great portray of the characters and the romance between the male and female lead are worth watching again a second time which lemme be clear is like the whole drama as their are no secondary leads, but I would watch the cute parts of the drama only. Maybe after a month or two, when all the details are out of my head, I might be able to rewatch it again with sincerity.

Truly loved the romance in this drama! Some bits might have been a bit drawn out and overdone but the true mark of a good drama to me is that you miss the characters when it's all over. I haven't been able to find another Chinese rom-com that is as good. I tried several others. I am also a sucker for inter-species, sci-fi rom-com. This drama also tugged on your heartstrings. It was an absolute delight to watch each and every episode. Their kisses were on fire. You could feel the sexual tension a mile away. I also love that the FL seemed unapologetically her, with her own unique style (that wasn't sexy IMO) but seemed to suit her character very well.Was this review helpful to you?

One of my all time favorites!
I love this drama!!! I have watched it three times now and still love it and enjoy the entire show with no skipping! It grabs you right from the start and won’t let you go till it ends.Story - love the storyline! Could it use some work? Sure! No movie, show, or drama is perfect. But the acting and the whole drama in its entirety make up for any imperfections! It makes you laugh, cry, and want to kick some butts but in the end it turns out perfect!
Acting/Cast - I love the mains! They did an amazing job! When he forgot her I wanted to cry. Just when they were really bonding and he came to realize how important she was to him... he forgets her. She had to go through a lot of pain. And the main actress did a wonderful job playing her roll. I always have to find myself that she is an alien and cannot quite understand human emotions so she is totally oblivious to how he feels about her and how she is feeling. But she pulled it off really well. And the male lead, he did great also. It broke my heart when she disappeared on him and went back home. I cried (all three times I watched it) with him. He pulled off the emotions perfectly. Almost makes me believe it is all real! Haha
Rewatch - heck ya! I love love love this show and hope one day I can buy it so I no longer have to watch it on YouTube. Or hope it is never taken off YouTube!

I can't get enough of this drama!!!
I came across this drama while I was scrolling through tiktok. I thought why not, because it seems interesting and funny. I ended up falling in love with this drama. It's so pure and innocent yet the tension between Fang Leng and Xiao Qi is too much <3 I also like how fast the development between the main leads. It didn't have to take 20 episodes just for them to like each other or start dating. Although it's the typical CEO and simple girl story, it's still so cuteeee! I like that the female lead is strong and does not need anyone to help her. While the male lead seems like a cold guy but is actually sweet when in love. I like that they didn't put a second couple and only focused on the main couple. Maybe the only downside of this drama is when Fang Leng's memories of Xiao Qi got erased and they were back to zero. But it's still cute because although he couldn't remember her, his heart still chooses her. I just love, love, love this drama <3 Can't wait for season 2!!!Was this review helpful to you?

Warning: this review is not very well written and mostly for my own entertainment and there are MAJOR spoilers so here’s my recommendation for those of you who are wondering whether or not to watch this: The story is has a very strong start and great acting, but it is not a serious watch. It’s a good thing to play in the background when you’re studying or something. The story is pretty disappointing but you’ll have a good laugh, and the chemistry is very strong. Hope that helped. You can continue to read at your discretion.My Girlfriend Is An Alien deals with a very creative, unique concept. An alien who’s attracted to hormones meets a man who can’t remember females after huge storms. At first, this drama was amazing. It was fluffy, sweet, and full of interesting characters. Xiaoqi was so adorably shameless, Fang Leng had such a romantic heart, Fang Lie’s friendship with Xiaoqi was so endearing, and even Jiang Xue was kind of intriguing. The first half of the story set me up with really high expectations.
However! (Messy writing and spoilers here)
After the second rainfall, things start to go downhill. Suddenly, Fang Leng becomes a completely different person, and all four of the main leads start to undergo changes that make them become really annoying. Xiaoqi’s obsession with her annunciator causes her to use and ignore Fang Leng, who clearly cares about her so much. Toward the end, even after reciprocating his feelings, she still acts so selfishly without ever thinking about him. I get that she’s an alien, but it’s not a strong enough excuse for how she acted. Fang Leng, right after losing his memory, treats everybody like dirt (this I can kind of understand, but still). Fang Lie falls in love with Xiaoqi, which was one of the biggest disappointments of the drama, and Jiang Xue gets scarily clingy to Fang Leng despite him telling her on multiple occasions that he is not interested, which is honestly so many levels of creepy. All of these changes in the characters made it really hard to continue.
Yet I still wanted to finish the drama, so I ended up watching ep 20 and on at 2x the speed while doing other things.
After finishing the drama, I can see why it has such high ratings, but it wasn’t my cup of tea. I can safely say that while it got dull and boring toward the end, the actors and actresses played their parts really well. The acting was by far the best part of the show. All of the actors played their parts so convincingly, especially Hsu Thassapak. The side characters were also all very sweet (and less problematic, except Allen of course), and I liked them so much. Assistant Han and Doctor Zhang were some of the best sidekicks, and Chai jie was such a quirky character. And even though Xiao Bu’s advice was kinda iffy, he was pretty cute too.
As for rewatch value, I don’t know. I might come visit a few episodes of this drama again, but I don’t think that will be in the near future.
