Just watch it

The story is controversial but the way things are put makes it easy to watch. The actors are amazing, the FL and 2nd ML (joss) have such great chemistry that age gap don’t look awkward at all .The characters are believable even when they take the most unconventional path because it matches their personalities. I started the show thinking i will dislike the characters and judge them for going against moral boundaries but instead i ended up rotting for risa and pong. These two brings happiness and complete each other miserable life.
If anyone is hesitating I would suggest to just watch but with the alternative ending. Avoid the original ending at all cost if you don’t want to be depressed.

The story of this drama is fine. It is definitely not good for kids under 18. The songs were good. The cast was good. the chemistry between Risa and Pong was lit and superb. There were a lot of emotional moments. But the ending was very shocking. It could not worse than this. The last 2 episodes basically showed reconciliation of pong and Risa but then a tragedy happened. I cried a lot in the end(really a lot). At the last there is message displayed reading that "the love which is against religious perspective is wrong", is absolutely wrong according to the story. The mistress and the husband who actually deceived a simple and kind woman did not get hur at all . Instead the innocent ones had to face horrible consequences and were hurt a lot. I wish a miracle could have happened at the end and the story would end happily. But the makers spoilt it.

Love this but still got angry nonetheless

So it’s a pet peeve of mine when I watch Asian dramas especially Thai dramas. Somehow people who like s@x are always shown as villains especially for women. The female lead is shown as a saintly Madonna who just puts up with s@x for the man she loves. The anti female is one who like s@x but she is a super villain. Why are we still perpetuating these myths. I also think these are so very ableist. As someone who has stayed with people (women especially are prone to suffer from chronic pain a lot more) who have fibromyalgia or anything else, this attitude is just more upsetting for people who are unable to be more active even if they wanted to. And this is also harmful to women especially since I am a south Asian and I know how these stereotypes have hurt women including acid attacks or honour killing.
Rant aside, the leads had amazing chemistry. I don’t mind fake kisses since I am south Asian and I do understand how actresses or actors may have boundaries regarding shooting certain scenes and I totally respect that. But the actress was very good with showing affection for the male lead and vice versa and it was cute. Most surprising though, I loved the sweet granny the most.
Another note to myself never judge by the cover. Watching Korean dramas where actors are sometimes chosen for looks and they cannot act (example Song Kang, Suzy Bae, Shin Se Kyung) it’s interesting to see Thai actors who are gorgeous also act well. The male actor did a really good job. Another girl who did an amazing job was the very beautiful British Thai girl in Gap. This has taught me not to assume actors who are good looking wont be great at acting. That’s why I am enjoying watching Thai dramas more since the actors combine looks with talent and it’s refreshing to watch.

Watch the Alternative Ending

If you watch the original ending which I did you will get so pissed off and depressed and feel like you wasted days off your life. Watch the Alternative Ending which is happy and you will feel satisfied and content that the gorgeous hot Pong ends up with Risa. And he is one of the hottest actors I have seen. His love for Risa is so pure and given his childhood you get to understand his feelings for Risa and desire for the perfect family. I loved them together and was rooting for them. I love Noona Romances because it's time we had gender equality. Men date much younger women so why can't women do them same! But I got to say they had the worst kisses. I like the fact Asian Dramas are wholesome and have little skinship but the lack of even proper kisses given the storyline was ridiculous. The characters were very ott and reminded me of the Indian dramas my mum watches but if you are prepared for that then you will enjoy this Lakorn addictive. Its Def a rewatch but only if you watch with the alternative ending which luckily a commenter on the Dramacool site mentioned and where to find it with English subtitles.

I came for the convoluted revenge, stayed for Risa and Pong

I would recommend it to anyone who wants a standard production lakorn with a very cute couple.

PROS
-Risa and Pong as a couple: lovely chemistry, even if they had nefarious motives in the beginning, once they commited to each other they both showed maturity and love
-They don't hide their age difference, instead because of it they fit each other, Risa with her giving nature and Pong with his smile and efforts to please her
-Pong's grandmother, the most forward thinking elder i've seen in thai dramas, she supports Pong and Risa's love even if it's not accepted by society. she only wants what's best for him
-Risa's supportive bff who gave her a place to live, emotional support and was the official administrator of her love life
-The female villain had some great lines, like calling the husband a cheater
-the couple's hugs were so cute
-Risa faces many difficulties, but doesn't just go back to the man who hurt her. she has her own mind

CONS
-fake kiss scenes that blemish the couple's otherwise perfect chemistry
-Madonna/whore complex on full display: the main lead is portrayed as saint, enduring all the abuse and keeping herself down (and she's a nurse) while the villain is a woman who enjoys sex and is independent. all the while the real villain is the husband, the only one who really cheats on their spouse
-the main ending is atrocious and negates the whole message of the series, watch the alternative instead

OVERALL
enjoyable series ( would benefit from more hotness in the couple) that shows stereotypes but doesn't settle for them

Touching and amazing

It's a very touching and amazing drama, and I feel like I need to give my opinion. First of all, in terms of the story, it is unconventional and not similar to what I saw before in Thai drama. In this series it explained that taking responsibility has nothing to do with age. The world can consider you just a teenager, but you are more mature than this world, aware and responsible than your parents. I feel after watching this series that the older the person, the less he feels his duties, the more irresponsible and more evil he becomes, as if the older he is, the more he loses his humanity. Bong found in Aresa, firstly, his mother's replacement, then the lover, then the wife and the mother of his child. His feelings are more mature and more experienced than his age and her feelings are more innocent and less experienced than her age, and here is the meeting between them and completeness. This love story is one of the most beautiful and strange love stories that has affected me so much that I want to watch a lot of the same kind of drama. Secondly, acting, all the actors from the smallest role to the biggest role are professionals, even the role of maids I liked a lot. Thirdly, the music was very suited to the situation. For me, it's one of the rare dramas I'm going to re-watch a lot.
Note : watch the alternative last episode, don't watch the original because the original will make your tears flood😭

heartbreaking

the reason why i watched this series because of Joss Way-ar Sangngern at first i find the first to third episode i find it boring until i saw joss, gosh he so hot and i love the way he act. i kind hate the ML because of her character being so Stupid and gullible. but she so pretty at her age... im so sad for her because in the end theyre not together with pong... and im so so so hate the ending.. im hoping for a happy ending for pong and risa... but the series is worth watch, so dont think twice just watched it...

i hope joss will make more drama series because he is a good actor...

Do we need to employ 40-year od nang'eks to see their fake "kisses"?

Of course I knew Nune Woranuch already (I didn't like her even when she was young), but this is only my 2nd series with Joss Sangngern... And his character is a male prostitute in both cases, LOL. This time he's not to be paired with just a 2 years older girl, but way older. I could imagine sparks if they put him together with Pat Napapa... Instead, "Papa" got some side-woman role that is a kinda surplus... Er, wait. She's supposed to be his MOTHER? Forgive me, my imagination IS big but SHE doesn't look like his mother even if I consider teenage pregnancy. If someone does, then it's Woranuch. Who reached almost double his age, pitifully it's not yet shown in acting experience.

Still, they put Woranuch (her character is also supposed to be NURSE by occupation) in bed with Joss right in episode 3 and she acts like scared virgin, so there is not even a single proper kiss, and as I've watched Joss in his previous series, I know that HE doesn't have this problem. So I ask, WHO came up with this pairing? WHAT for? LOL.

Then, even when she initiates the kiss herself, all we can see is the awkward camera angle. She's far from blushing 20-year old. With young actress, limited acting skills, limited things she can do onscreen, those are understandable. Aged actress no longer looks the same but there is more stuff she can do. These cases, we either suffer one or the other. So I ask: do they need to employ a nang'ek who is 40 AND can't kiss?

I'm afraid this is far from "sexy late night show"they try to present on the posters. Reality is morelike 'Princess Hours 20 years later', LOL. Basically the "hot bed scene" looks like this: we watch their lips slowly coming closer... Whoosh! We're at the back of the room. Whoosh! We're quickly gone from there. How "sexy". Can't wait for numerous more episodes... Yes, next we got a "hot" kiss in the hotel where we can mostly watch Joss' crouched back. Wow.

One episode we can watch Nune Woranuch stuffing her whole mouth with noodles and munching. If she can film such scene with great detail, why not kissing? LOL.

Another fake kiss scene Nune & Joss, where we get to watch their moving ELBOWS. Plus everyone acts like a moron, middle-aged characters are the most immature. Ironically enough, the only quality I find here is Joss. This boy can act. Can portray both playful & vulnerable...

He is so good he can pretend "chemistry" even with the Wooden Woranuch (now, I do understand that after plastic surgeries, one needs to be cautious with their face), but that doesn't mean the producers did not make a major casting error here. Their awkward "shinship" scenes speak the best. Pat Napapa's sex goddess soon reduces to usual silly nang'rai, doing any desperate thing to get the WW's hubby, like he's some miraculous catch just because he's a middle-aged doctor (it's even mentioned that most money was brought into his marriage by the bride). Makes little sense. Accordingly, doctor soon wises up and tries to keep the wife, but she's got the "kid" (as she calls Joss' character) and his poison (aka bittersweet kisses) in her system by then.......

Such is the premise, yet the execution... Well, it's as you read above.

Still, again I must praise Joss, because normally I find it icky when they present us with stories of middle-aged women finding their greenhorn younger lover to please the fantasies of aging female audience, but he made me feel like I could understand what she sees in him. Kudos to Joss.

Then... when it's the most emotional, he goes to kiss her and... he can't. So there it goes, the most romantic scene ends up looking comical. Someone obviously thought this a minor "detail" so they dared to release the series as it was (instead of re-casting and re-shooting this before presenting it to the audience... any audience) following the way paved by 'Princess Hours'... to viewer's hell. And that's talking a kiss scene. We are then presented with a bed scene, where of course we're not allowed to see anything of our precious Woranuch. So, we watch the clothes falling on the floor. Please don't think I dwell too much on just 1 aspect of the series... This series theme is such that the bad skinship keeps jumping on the viewer and their attention no matter what. So it's not like it can be ignored.

Episode 13 was very frustrating for the romance sucker like me, I reached the stage I'd really wished for the lead girl (well, woman) to respond to Pong who was talking to her straight from the heart. So I wanted her to either tell him she loved him or kiss him or tell him the truth about their first meeting so much. She did nothing. At least she hugged him as that was obviously the only thing Woranuch has consented to so the writers thought of special meaning of hugs for Joss' character. Well, what else could they do. Then we had to watch Nune's character making big fuss about not/sharing bed with Joss and I just wished she'd quit that in her age.

She then moves in with him. So despite the age gap, with her settling in his surprisingly luxurious looking condo (for someone shown either in dungarees or waiter's apron) I wished the couple the best. Perhaps from the lack of other ideas, suddenly a big drama is made of something I thought all the while was already known. It makes zero sense but I guess we had to fill the rest of the episodes somehow... I just wished for Risa to show more fight for Pong, it was definitely her turn to be the one to show her feelings and it would be more romantically enjoyable. Never mind skinship, there was so many things she could say to him. Don't you always hate it when every secondary character has the chance to tell the main's ear off while their love interest is unable to finish 1 sentence?;-) Then, after all this, we're not spared of the idiotic "action finale" either, of course.

Either way, as it's impossible for an audience to not fall in love with Joss in this, naturally everyone wished for his happy ending and so the alternative ending was made (which I found quite stupid though, to be honest). In the end, the overall feeling was close to average.

Im not here to comment about those on nd off relationship..

Im not here to comment about those on nd off relationship..but wanted to give review on one of the best character to be noted, "KHEM". Her moral support nd advice given to Risa reminds me a proverb "A friend in need is the friend indeed". ❤ Those who face hardship in their life should have person like khem to scold when they are bad nd to liftup on their downfall.

The overall story was okay.I read those comments about bad ending so i saw the alternative ending first which was much better nd satisfying compared to the original ending.

Coming to the original ending, after those chaos between ML nd FL for past 21 episodes, the disapperance of ML was not satisfying.

Anyhow thise who like forced love can like this series, otherwise it can be watched once for lifetime 🙏🏼.

Thankyou 😊

Really Enjoyable

I usually drop more lakorns than I finish so finishing this one means I had a good time watching it. I had to take points off because it does suffer from the usual lakorn logic and production qualities but the acting and chemistry between our two leads more than make up for it.

The story does get somewhat draggy and there are certain things that get completely forgotten (like Pong's friends) but the acting was very good. Our two leads did a pretty good job and, more importantly, they had enough chemistry to carry their scenes.

Surprisingly, I think the characters were decently consistent. I liked how Risa's maturity was portrayed. Once she was committed (whether Pong or Aik) she tried to hold strong in the face of adversity instead of immediately giving in - it kind of shows that a relationship is beyond just the feelings but also a choice to commit. It was a interesting contrast to Pong's immaturity that was not explicably spelled out. I think the drama made an interesting choice with the second female lead. Although she has the mold of the typical batshit-crazy/screeching/jealous/selfish lakorn second female lead, she was given a little depth so you could see why she was behaving the way she did (not that it gave her any excuse, but it made sense). She was also an expert manipulator and so good at playing the innocent victim card particularly when a part of what she is yelling about are facts (like when she told Aik that really, he was the worst out of everyone). The actress herself has a waif-like physique and delicate features which I think also reduces the evil persona. In fact, I think the actress's delicate physical features are why they always had Risa dress in white/light colors while she wore bold or flashy outfits, just to re-emphasize the difference. Ah Ma (Pong's grandmother) is one character that was highly underutilized, particularly because she was very open-minded and the voice of reason for everyone.

The music was super intrusive and honestly did not always correlate to the scene so points off for that.

In conclusion, this is a fun and enjoyable lakorn. While I will probably never rewatch this, I would recommend it for decent entertainment.
