The effects and graphics are very good which makes the movie more scary for some people. Also the storyline was very organized and it really takes the audience into everything. Even the exorcist scenes we're very well executed and believable. Also the story had some interesting turns which suprised me. Also I think the best part was the acting. I enjoyed the acting of the cast members (both of the main and the support) really really much.
There was too much blood and gore for a 15+ movie. Also the movie tried to scare the audience with a little too much jumpscares. The whole exorcist theme can be very unrealistic.
But all in one I think it's worth watching.

Few Scary Scenes, Story Disappointed
WHAT I LIKED:-> Acting: This is probably the best part of the movie. Sung Dong Il delivers horror very well in this film. His scene in Hyun Joo's bedroom scared me, not just because of the jump scare music but because he had this creepy expression on. Other actors did equally well. Choi Myung Goo is a seasoned actress and did her breakfast scene extremely well. She made my skin crawl. I've seen Jo Yi Hyun in Hospital Playlist and My Country, she's done well here though her character wasn't very demanding. Kim Kang Hoon is on a roll, with Mr. Sunshine, When the Camellia Blooms and this movie as well.
-> Cinematography: The scenes were shot very well. The CGI was not excellent, but not subpar either. The costumes and props were all on point.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
-> Plot: The story itself was a good idea for a horror film, but there were so many plot-holes and unexplained happenings that I was just turned off and this is the reason for my low rating. To think that the demon can *SPOILERS AHEAD* not only shapeshift into other humans, but can also possess them, levitate objects, hover, spew blood, make people turn onto each other and so much more. It's basically a variety of demons and poltergeists rolled into one. The demon can also handle crosses and can apparently mimic an exorcism, reciting Latin verses without flinching. But the later on he died on a cross.... huh. Our experienced priest, samchon a.k.a. Jong-Su thinks that the elder daughter is the demon, while in actuality he has been actively going round pretending to be each member of the family at will. I didn't get why he would make such a statement because obviously the demon could just go take someone else's shape. Which it did! The arrival of the other priests from Manila was such a stupid thing, since all they did was die like flies. The fact that Jong Su would end up doing the exorcism was predictable. The BIGGEST HOLE in this movie was the fact that the demon pretty much roasted a daughter alive in the basement and NO ONE CARED. No one looked for her, no one missed her, and when they discovered her they did not look much shocked. The final hug scene between the family was weird because the mom never asked 'hey where's my other daughter btw?'
-> CGI: There were a few moments where it was done badly, like the cracks on the car after the crows hit it, and Jong Su's weird mask-like face after he was possessed. It was just a turn off to look at.
->Beginning and Ending: The exorcism was predictable, down to the death. It was boring. There's a reason why everyone says 'show, not tell'. The reasons why the family decides to move into a new house are shoved into a few dialogues in the car. I wanted to be shown how Jung Su's actions had bothered each of the family member. It could have been just a few flashbacks and it would be enough. The last ten minutes of the movie were so disappointing. It was so predictable and boring. I wish they had stuck to the idea of a spirit that can change and mimic faces and carried that throughout, instead of having a possessed girl jumping around, vomiting blood, laughing like mad in your face. Please, enough with the cliches.

So much entertainment and fun in one movie.
When a movie starts with a demon making some good points, you know it’s gonna be a hell(a) ride. I almost cried from laughing while watching. So much of this was just ridiculous and funny. The characters had no brains and it made the movie even better. The dialogues between some characters were truly gold. I honestly want a spinoff with the two priests arguing about exorcism and Satan.
The only good things about the movie were the visuals and acting. And by visuals, just the practical makeup, because the design was more or less any other possession/zombie stuff. Honestly, what’s with Korea and zombies and possessed folks looking the same?
The plot? Extremely predictable - same old possession story. They took it a bit further, casting no mediocre demon though.
There were so many overwhelming moments (for various reasons) I truly had the time of my life watching. It’s been a long time since I laughed so bad watching horror. It was exactly what I needed. Metamorphosis would be an amazing buddy watch.
Overall - great watch for fellow atheists to have some fun. No idea how scary it would be for people who believe.
Ps. Described some highlights in a comment below under a spoiler.

One of the Best K-Horror Movies
Short terms to describe this movie:1. Among Us.
2. Doppelganger.
3. Naruto's skill, wind shadow clone.
Information:
Jump scares: Yes.
Jump scares intensity: Low. (I wasn't even flinched a sec)
Sex scenes: No.
Bloody graphics: Yes (Final Destination level).
Ghost form: Possessed human. (Not a monster/fictional being)
Ghost scary level: Low. (The Nun and Annabelle are scarier to me lol)
Religious: Yes (This is a story about a pastor and his family after all)
Pros:
1. Family-friendly. You can (even are recommended to) watch it with your family, relatives, friends, crush, boy/girlfriend.
2. The atmosphere is really dark. If you are a scaredy-cat like me, I recommend you to watch it in the afternoon.
3. The writer is so brave that the ending turns out to not be bright.
4. Solid. Every second haunts you.
5. Jump scares are there, but without an exploding SFX. So it's safer for your heart.
6. Creepy BGM and shrieking sound make it darker and scarier. Watch it with a subwoofer speaker if you have it.
7. Sung Dong Il + Cho Yi Hyun.
Cons:
1. As always, because it's a Korean movie, plot holes are everywhere. But it's not a big deal because we are focusing on the horror scenes.
2. The characters' fate might not meet your expectation.

Horror Movie, Korean Exorcism
Watch this movie because of Cho Ji Hyun from All of us are dead and it's promoted in one of Running Man episode. Her acting really good, she have a great potential, keep it up :)
So overall as a horror movie it delivers exactly the horror needed. Not as scary as Thai horror, but definitely much better story line compare to Intruder, with no thriller. Yes there's some loop hole here and there inside, but overall if you are a fan of horror, you can watch this.
Oh well since now near Easter, this movie seems like an Easter movie to me. Not literally telling story about Jesus who sacrifice himself for us the sinner, but at the end of the story the uncle sacrifice himself to help his family, so this is a symbolize of sacrifice to save human being.
A lot of good moral teaching inside, like when we are angry, devil will be easier to take over us.
Appreciate the language use in when they do the exorcism not using Korean or English, is it Hebrew? Anyway this effort make it more realistic.
Great CGI too

This was unexpectedly a great watch
So I'm a massive horror genre fanatic and i accidentally stumbled upon an edit of this show on Instagram and im so so so GLAD i did because this movie was MARVELOUS.From the eery setting to the fast paced storyline, compelling characters, incredibly well executed lore of religion & demons, adequately placed jumpscares, everything was SPOT ON.
There were times when I was hooked to every second, biting my nails, anxious about what happens next and honestly it did not disappoint. A very VERY good watch for horror genre lovers, it almost fits in with the Turkish ones (the greatest horror treasure).
I also like the fact that the paranormal is kept mysterious. They reveal just enough to show us how snarky, cocky and despicable that thing is yet its motives or its point of origin is never discovered. That, in itself, is a great quality to take the horror aspect to the next level because there's nothing scarier than ambiguity & uncertain mystery.
There's an appropriate amount of gore but not so much that it becomes impalatable. I really like that.
Overall, I highly, HIGHLY recommend watching it if you're up for some spook bcs this one has got that in it. Definitely an add-in to my halloween rewatch list.
