Worth a rewatch. The story isn't that interesting, but the leads keep you interested.
In episode 1, the ML & FL aren't linked romantically. They both have their own partners. The FL's partner after they have just returned from watching a movie, "Let's kiss each other until we break our front teeth..." Wow, I mean just wow. Oh God, what a great start! Couldn't stop laughing. Its only episode one and this guy is already so hilarious. Meanwhile the ML is proposing to his partner. But I do feel like there's a bit of imbalance between the two. His gf is so lovely and they shared a kiss, I wonder if this is going to overshadow the ML & FLs relationship in the future. But thankfully that didn't happen. Once he had decided to move on, the ML didn't give his ex any mixed signals, he was loyal to the FL.The SFL started out great, but as she realized that the ML wouldn't forgive her, she quickly lost her way and tried to get rid of the FL (not murder her but still). Anyways since this is a kdrama, she was forgiven. She finally decided to move on.
In episode 3, when the leads and their respective exes were coming towards them, they played "You are just too good to be true" I just love hearing it anytime anywhere, reminds me of Heath Ledger singing it in "10 Things I Hate About You"
I guess they love the music too, I'm hearing it again at the end of episode 4 as well.
And what were the writers thinking when they wrote FL's ex. He seems like a overgrown toddler who was so hung up on the FL to the point of delusion. This when he was married to a beautiful woman, he was such a crappy husband to her. His wife and son were a gem though.

This is a JCW drama, for crying out loud!!!
I honestly don't understand the hate on this kdrama. I was actually pretty happy after finishing this. YES, the story's dragging BUT it is interesting. YES, the leads don't have the same level of chemistry as Ji Chang Wook had with his other FLs (this is not Nam Ji hyun level chemistry) BUT it is workable, they still made me feel all the feels. The story progressed slowly, showing Ma Dong Chan and Ko Mi Ran's lives before entering the capsule -- Mi Ran's struggles to keep her family afloat, her love for Nam Tae, her friendship with Kyung Ja and Young Sun, her weird and creepy relationship with Byung Sim and Dong Chan's struggles to always do something that no one has ever done-- all leading to that fateful day of being freezed together and not being thawed after 24 hours. The episodes following their thawing were sort of annoying but in a funny way. I would've loved to see the both of them struggle to fit in the modern world, but that quickly became a thing of the past once they decided to use those touch screen phones.
Their love story progressed slowly, too. The moment Dong Chan met Ha Young's eyes after being thawed, I just know that there's no going back for the both of them. That strong feeling of being responsible for Mi Ran might be one of the reasons why Dong Chan fell in love with her... but I saw those twinkling eyes as he was observing Mi Ran laugh with Ji Hoon that afternoon, oh boy, he's smitten. I really love Chang Wook's eyes -- smoldering and will make you feel like drowning then he will be the one saving you as he slowly kisses you... aaaahhhh, Wookie. you will be the death of me. I replayed that shower scene 3x as it is waaaaay too hot to handle (nothing's hotter though than that surf shed kiss with Ji Won or the basket kiss with Ji Hyun but those are a different story!)
The ending --- DID NOT FEEL WEIRD AT ALL. Dong Chan talked about starting a YouTube channel before Mi Ran's re-freezing, he even started it but didn't have the guts to continue it after Mi Ran's accident. So I don't understand how people can say that the ending was not satisfying. IT WAS! Mi Ran wanted to study, wanted to chase her dreams / Dong Chan needed a change of scenery to finally pursue doing that vlogging -- that's the most natural thing to do. Dong Chan going with Mi Ran as Mi Ran chases her dreams as he does what he thinks will make him happy too.
So yes, give this a chance. It might not be as good as all the other JCW dramas but it still makes your heart flutter regardless.

Waste of Ji Chang Wook's time
Never in a million years did I think that I could be disappointed with Ji Chang Wook's appearance, but what a waste of talent. Felt he just dialed it in—and with a script like this, can understand why.Great premise, but bad script. No character development. Useless characters throughout the film combined with pointless slapstick. Bumbling direction. Even the costumes were off. All of this could have been helped if there wasn't the small problem of zero chemistry between leads. ZERO. Like watching a shoe paired with a fork.
If I was JCW, I would get a better agent pronto. With his talent, he should be working towards roles with greater range and depth. This is K-drama junk food with empty calories and the flavor of a stale marshmallow.

It had various of feelings from sad to supper funny! WATCH IT! If someone doesn’t like it doesn’t mean you won’t like as well! Don’t read only reviews and make a conclusion just watch it. Thats a korean drama, different, way to different from other countries drama so maybe other doesn’t like this kind of dramas.
About the cast what to say!? It’s amazing. Won Jin Ah and Ji Chang Wook is one of my favorite actors!
Sadly it ended. Every Saturday and Sunday will be empty! This week is weird, I used to wait for the next episode but now not anymore. This Saturday and Sunday will the first without any episode but it’s fine. I will rewatch it more and more

"Melting Me Softly for all its worth is a beautiful lovestory!"
Perhaps I am part of those minority who like this drama. It actually a throwback to traditional korean drama where, simple, sweet, fluffy, not to mention the annoying side characters, the shouting etc... I did not say this does not have issues (editing, story telling and the likes...) but for me if you just like to spend 16 hours of pure fun, fluffiness and waiting for that love to happen, then this is for you. Also, i find the chemistry of the leads very cool and sweet and I think they look good together. Ji Chang Wook indeed has a good chemistry to all of his female leads co stars.Overall, I like how they ended the drama, it is inspiring and full of hope. This drama will let you move to love more your loved ones and appreciate them on a daily basis. And this will make us believe again that LOVE is patient...is kind...is hopeful.

At first glance, this would seem like a very original, different from others drama. Well, at least you are right in that part. The plot and story are definitely interesting however it was just executed terribly. Each episode is about 50 min and the first couple of episodes are just flashbacks that are only a bit useful. What makes it worse is that it is boring! I found myself fast-forwarding through more than half before getting to an "okay" part. The first episode was interesting because i was just getting used to it but as the episodes went on it just got slower and slower. By the 6th episode, there was barely any romance. I would not recommend wasting your time on this. If i could give this a zero for rewatch i would.
Sorry for any grammar/spelling mistakes.
Don't come at me. This is my opinion

Actor and actress acted really well. It’s quite interesting to see how the show revolve around the variety department and the hardship that they’ve faced while trying to create new content that would interest viewers like us.

Complete failure
Well actually this drama is a complete FAILURE, the summary seemed interesting before this drama aired but after watching almost 8 episodes its just a mess. Main characters are not developing, and their romance is just not connected, everything seems so random, and most importantly I don't even know what's the purpose of those annoying af support leads, they just seem pointless and very unnecessary to me.You know the show is so bad when Main Leads are having their first kiss and your reaction is "What in the god's name was that?". It was just that random and unconnected, they had no chemistry at all in their romance, the kiss scene was hella forced.
I actually understand why this drama had a low rating in Korea and it clearly deserves it.
