Idol Shikkaku and Dakara Watashi wa Oshimashita? are both focused on understanding human nature through the somewhat messed up setting of the Japanese idol industry. While IS is less polished than DWO, I think IS is still worth the watch. To me, one can tell that IS has thoughtfulness behind it, that a person knowledgeable about idols poured love into the characters of the story they had made. And if you haven't watched DWO, you really should.

have a similar story about an underground idol. both oshi have similar characteristics. The fans who are the main characters are also women.

The fictional alt idol group Sunny Side Up appears in both dramas. The group is more central to the plot in Dakara Watashi wa Oshimashita, but, indeed, the events in the first series are referenced in the second.

They are both Japanese dramas centered around independent or underground idols and the idol industry.
