Beautiful and Touching Deja-Vu DramaI really like this lakorn, as I find the story-telling, writing and directing were good and all the actors acted really well here. I've never liked Pong before, but he acted very well here and he really showed lots of emotions for his role. I have always like Esther as she is good in this type of roles (sweet, kind and selfless heroine) - I saw her first time in the Thai version of You Are My Destiny drama.
I have never watched the original Taiwanese "Deja Vu" but I read the reviews were not good. I am glad I watched the Thai version first.
There were many scenes in this lakorn that made me cheer for the heroine, some made me cry together with her, and sometimes, even made me frustrated (especially towards the last few episodes), but overall, it was a good drama about true love and how the power of true love can overcome many obstacles, even death. Overall, it was entertaining and enjoyable.
THIS IS A MUST WATCH! THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LAKORN I'VE EVER SEEN!Wow! Wow! Wow! This is my first time writing a review but I feel like I have to for this drama. To be honest, when I first read the synopsis I didn't have high expectations for it. Mostly because I thought it was going to end up being like an amnesiac drama with our female lead always crying. But oh my god, this lakorn went above and beyond any other lakorns that I've watched. I've watched a lot of lakorns and this one stands out the most to me. The intricate plot, spectacular cast, heartwrenching music. It was all amazing!
Pong and Esther were perfect for their roles. They were so sweet that I couldn't stop smiling during the first few episodes. I was already crying 7 minutes into the first episode because I could feel how much love Jane had for Win. Esther's crying scenes are so heartbreaking because you can feel her love and her pain and I love how she still stands strong despite not being able to express her love. Pong is so charming as Win and his smile always makes me swoon. I would have to say the one thing I didn't like about Pong's acting in here was his crying scenes. They weren't as believable as Esther's but other than that he was awesome. Their love is so pure and there are many obstacles in their way that they'll have to go through.
Speaking of obstacles, there is Jane's half-sister, Lalisa played by Pantila. At first, I thought that Lalisa would be your typical jealous and clingy nang rai that you see all the time in Thai lakorns. But oh boy was I in for a surprise. Although she starts off as the typical nang rai, her character development was very strong. Along with another one of our antagonists, Rashanee (played by Chaiyaat) who is Win's cousin. These two are our "antagonist" couple. But I loved them just as much as our main couple. They had their reasons for doing the things that they did and it wasn't some superficial reasons like money, power, or reputation. Halfway through the lakorn, I was actually cheering for them to win. What I loved about this lakorn is that the role of the antagonist isn't assigned to one particular person (well except maybe for the Uncle but that's beside the point). Everyone had their own faults that they had to learn from and take responsibility for.
I do want to point out that I noticed that the opening and ending credits do not spoil anything. Everything that you see in the opening and ending credits happens within the first like 3-4 episodes. It made me want to watch more because I couldn't predict which direction the lakorn was going to take, which is something that is very predictable in other lakorns. It was refreshing to see our two main leads actually liking each other rather than bickering each time they met (which is an extremely common trope in lakorns). The music was beautiful and romantic and I loved the golden theme colors in the opening and ending credits.
Overall, be prepared for a roller coaster of emotions as this is not your typical lakorn. It really teaches you about how short time can be and how important it is to spend that time with the people you love. I absolutely love this lakorn and would definitely rewatch it again. 10/10 I recommend it!
