I started this one randomly without any expectation since I wasn't familiar with the cast but I ENDED UP LOVING IT SO MUCH!!! I don't get why so less people are watching it ?? Becz it doesn't have found actors?? That's a shame for everyone missing out on this gem.
STORY:
from the 1st EP till the last I was hooked. I NEVER KNEW A DRAMA WITHOUT ROMANCE CAN BE THIS ENJOYABLE!! it has subtle romance and the ships sail as well but the main focus is FRIENDSHIP. The development of every character and their relationship with each other is beautiful. How from a bunch of rebellious individuals they develope a solid team based on friendship and unity. They were always there for eachother 'ALL FOR ONE,ONE FOR ALL' .
How each character faces their inner demon and rises abv the mental shackles is so touching.Every character has screen time and the story has a smooth pace.
ACTING:
So Apt!!! Every Actor breathed life to their character.
MUSIC:
it was WOW. All the osts specially the group one has been on loop since start of EP 1 . Definitely a big advantage.
ReWatch:
Im still not over them.will be rewatching it.

OMG! Yes Please !!!

I started this drama because of a silly habit of mine ! i tend watch the entire portfolio of an actor so a Kris Fan Binge session brought me here ! And let me tell you I DO NOT REGRET IT !!!!!
First Aesthetics : Production is on point for this is a military /airforce themed drama . Uniforms, decor, nothing is too outrageous! Obviously they are not jet-recording up there so obviously the CGI would kick in every now and then , it's forgivable
Second Casting: Do you ever watch something and everyone seems to perfectly be who they are supposed to be ! the difference between seasoned actors and rookies is merely attached to character flaws so they don't necessarily jump out ! after all it's a bunch of teenagers with all sorts of state of minds. Even the extras with no lines have the most apropos body language/facial expressions!
Third Acting: There is one MAJOR FLAW in the Adult Male Lead, dude's acting went full Telenovela by the end (hopefully you get what i mean , kinda south-american sunday morning Sitcom style) I DONT UNDERSTAND WHY ! i feel like it was done on purpose to counter balance that last plot point (it was kinda heavy , no worries i won't spoil it !) Main cast doesnt ever brake character at all .
Rewatch : let's put it this way, i'm planning an online sychronized movie night (yay-Covid -_-) to introduce it to some of my friends !
One last thing AND MY FAVORITE THING TO EVER HAPPEN IN A DRAMA :
All 6Main teen Characters having a life of camera !!!!! it's like you see them grow as time goes by , falling in love included , and it isn't just like suddenly in your face, you can definitely tell something happen without needing to see it , when you meet them again you see their new self !!!! beautifully written !!!!!!!!

Enjoyable to watch

I watched this because I'm a huge fan of Kevin.
Overall I like this drama, at the beginning it was so funny, especially when Cheng Xu Yang & Xiang Wu argued when they got tied, I also like the fact that this drama has less romance. you will not see anyone cry because of love, yeah I'm sick of romance drama.
I like when Cheng Su Yang failed his test and he tried & tried again.
I like the scene when Gao Song helps Cheng Su Yang.
Minor thing I dont like about this drama, I dont like familly affairs at the member.
I dont like the scene of Xu Bing with her family affairs, her parents almost divorced & Instructur Liu put a lot of efforts to prevent that happen which is not related to the story.
I dont like the scene that Gao Song almost gave up after he hit the bird, come on!!! his mental is so lame, he didn't go to any class, instead of punishment, Kevin cheers him up. He left the school without permisson & when he came back, he didn't get punish for his behavior.

I'll be honest. I watched this because of Kris Fan! LOL
Anyway, the beginning of the story was actually interesting. I had high hopes! But as the series continues, I found myself disengaged and skipped some scenes.
This is not a new "concept" of a story. This is very similar to Takes a Real Man and I feel like that's more realistic than this series. The Captain was strict, but still full of compassion. I feel like if they're training for military/air force, then rules should be stricter, right? Is it just me?
This focused more on the characters' lives, their family and personal issues, overcoming trials and lastly friendship.
I still liked this series though, but I won't rewatch anytime soon.
