This drama was all about the kids!! I just love dramas that discusses children and their daily lives. What made this different is these children are all living as foster children. Some have lost their parents and some have parent(s) but are there for different reasons. I liked this drama because we got to see each of the children back story which made the drama that much more interesting to watch.

As usual, Kimura Tayuka reins supreme in the human interest type dramas! His portrayal of Jiro was excellent. But I must say, there is nothing like seeing Takuya dress in racing clothing. My, my, my!!

Alas, don't be fooled about the romance label, this drama was NOT about romance. The two leads have nothing romantic between them to speak about. Sure, there are hints that they like each other but that is about it.

If you like dramas that tell a story, especially ones featuring a bunch of cute kids (to include a younger Toda Erika), you will definitely like this!!

Masterpiece from the Golden Era!

I'll start with a standing ovation for Kimura Takuya.
And given how I've never been a big fan of his, I honestly think this carries a lot more weight than otherwise.
He was simply superb here, period. Well done, man! Chapeau!
But then again, the *whole* cast did marvelously. And what a fantastic cast, by the way! Okamoto Aya, Koyuki, Sakai Masato, Izumiya Shigeru...and then again, Ueno Juri, Kaho, Toda Erika, Oohira Natsumi...wow, just wow!
Of course a big role in this overall superb performance was played by the script, which was basically perfect and worked like a clockwork: *every single character* was tridimensional, *every scene* well thought and well written. You'll laugh, you'll cry, you'll think...the whole nine yards, seriously!
Some *great* music and a pretty high production value complete the package.
If you're in for a masterpiece from the "Golden Era" (early 90s to late Aughts) of Japanese Drama, give this title a chance. You might end up *loving* it just as I did! ^___-

Family story that warm your heart

I'm always waiting for drama like this, story about kids with all limitations but ultimately turning the impossibility into a possibility, warm dramas, about love, families and people who are destined to be around us, can change into power to achieve dreams. Takuya Kimura, in his finest, blend so well and charming as always, Koyuki Kato is so natural and beautiful. I love simple detail perspective that amazingly given by this drama, so thoughtful. The music is neat, elegant and pull you to a deeper feeling between the scenes. Touched and cry a lot while watching the drama.
