What a Masterpiece!
This movie is a hidden gem, but if you were waiting your typical happy, cute, melodramatic drama well... this is clearly not for you. This movie tells the story of Se-Jin, a 17 years old teen, that gets pregnant and with the help of her new companion (Joo Young, a runaway 17 years old) they do everything possible (and also the impossible compared to other K-Movies) to get her an abortion. But, in the process, this movies shows the society's underworld, rarely shown in this kind of movies. Taboo symbols are common, although the two main leads are minors, this includes: alcohol intake, cigarette smoking, hallucinogens or sedatives, sex, abortion, theft, minors working, bullying, and the list goes on! All this is used to make a critic to society about the hardships faced by teens without somebody to guide them but, clearly, in a very particular way.
The plot is really good and the storyline is easy to follow, though there may be some plot holes. It's is not a particularly fast movie, but it's pace would clearly not get you bored. Nevertheless, in the last 25 minutes the plot line changes a bit, it gets a bit slower and maybe, if we were too excited because of previous events it may get a bit boring, but nothing too serious.
The acting of the two main leads is spectacular. It's amazing how they could portray such personalities in such a natural way. The rest of the cast's acting is good but nothing too remarkable.
Overall, this is a really particular movie, clearly +18. One should start watching the movie knowing this things so to not get disappointed. My personal recommendation is to give it a chance because, almost certainly, you will end enjoying it.

A HIDDEN GEM
I kinda get why this didn't get that much attention in Korea as this topic is pretty taboo and I preach the writer for the genre and storyline they choose. The cast may not be those actors and actresses you see everywhere in a drama but I'm really impressed by their portrayal especially the main character. The emotions and characterization every actor in this film showed is one of a kind, this may come off as a comedy film at the trailer but this story is much more than that, the realism of every situation is kinda scary because you know this really happens in real life. The story speaks a lot for the teens and young adults who struggles and it portrayed it very well.
Young adult matters.

Harsh and depressing. The synopsis didn’t prepare me
Long story short, i got really triggered and i am not the kind of person to post things like this on every little thing that bothers me. I misinterpreted 18+ as just sexual content, consensual or not. It was recommended as GL and I was curious.I don’t know why, but I completely misunderstood the vibe of the movie before I started watching it. I ended up fast forwarding through most of it and then stopping completely. So no, I didn’t not actually watch most of this movie, this is more of a warning. This triggered my PTSD, anxiety, and negative thoughts really severely. I stopped about half way when some really violent stuff happened, don’t want to spoil if someone wants to watch it.
I just really wasn’t prepared for what this movie had in it. Partially my fault for thinking it would take a less extreme turn in the plot. But yeah, one mild/medium panic attack later, I decided to write this to just give a little more info in the reviews of this movie. I’m sure some people like this but I wish I had known more about the content.

this is terrible don’t let those tiktok recommendation videos fool you
This movie is utter trash and if you enjoy spending your time watching paint dry you’d probably enjoy this. Pointless and stupid attempt at trying to make a deep/edgy movie which doesn’t really have any sort of bigger picture it was just a bunch of randomness with a depressing backstory for the main character thrown in to mask the lack of an actual story. Main character was insufferable and stupid and why did that dude randomly just start beating her after wanting to help her (which didn’t really make any sense in the first place they were strangers and were introduced like they knew the two girls) ? and if I can remember correctly why did the second fml start joining in ? All in all this movie makes 0 sense no matter how much you look at it and is a waste of your time. Do not be fooled by the ppl on tiktok recommending this under the thriller genre it’s garbage. Was this review helpful to you?

Meaningful, simple, and the acting was amazing.
One of the only dramas that I obsessed about for the acting. I loved the two main female characters and their friendship so much for an unknown reason, and their scenes together were always somewhat wholesome in my view. The story was well planned, but some of the characters were incredibly unrealistic. Some of the scenes are disturbing, since it includes rape and self-harm, so I wouldn't recommend it to sensitive audiences . It did have beautiful and amazing cinematography, I will say that. I loved the whole skating theme, I don't really see that much in South Korean shows or movies. To sum it up, the movie was meaningful and worth the watch. Was this review helpful to you?
may not have been perfect, but did a great job
there are MANY triggers in this film so be mindful!!!while there is no storyline to guide the film, it is a heart wrenching portrayal of what children who end up in streets as a result of failed/lack of parental figures turn to. it portrays the uncertainty of being homeless child not knowing what is going to happen next. as much as I wasn’t a bit fan of it, I do recognize that it was likely an artistic decision to have a not-so-cohesive story line.
this film has incredible acting which carry the rather lackluster scenes (which I would also recognize may be a creative element to the film, still wasn’t the biggest fan of it). the middle definitely tore me up. it pains me to think that we have deprived children the right to be just that. it certainly raises awareness of a greater issue that we are often to overlook through our judgement and harshness about the subject.

Wasted potential
I felt no emotional connection towards any of the charachters or story due to the fact that throughout the movie we know practically nothing about their past. It's rushed, annoying, way too violent, especially that cabin scene that was so poorely edited and comical. It had a lot of of potential to create a truely disturbing, interesting and deep story of young adults in the loss of hope and proper for living environment (like ,,never rarely sometimes always'').
That was what i expected for a movie about such an important matters, instead it was poorly written, ridiculous and annoying to the extent that it completely lost me. Her sister deserved so much better, the scene of their dialouges was the only part where my focus lasted. Can't believe that i went through this because of an instagram reel.
I don't recommend wasting time on ,,young adult matters'', instead if you'd like to watch something good with a simillar plot but well written dialoges and scenarios watch ,,never rarely sometimes always''.
Love yall!
sending a lot of kisses and hugs!
