It is a short interesting JDrama. I started watching it because of Okada Kenshi and Nakao Masaki- both my favourite actors. This drama has portrayed today's SNS culture - the good and bad of it beautifully. That is to say the theme of this drama and the characters' daily lives are very relevant to today's globally connected world.

The 8 friends in the drama met during a cultural festival during school days stay together through college and work. But then because of an unknown twitter account, their friendship and life starts falling apart.

Okada plays Mr Good Guy(Sotaro) but is he really the Mr Good one or is he the wolf in sheep's clothing? Coming to Kaji as a manipulative SNS personality - Nakao Masaki portrayed it very well.

Meanwhile Yuma(Ogawa Sara) who is in love with Sotaro is also a good forgiving friend just like Sotaro. They both acted well, but for me they didn't have the striking chemistry as a couple. But still the story is very interesting that it keeps you glued to the screen till the end.

Other characters portrayed their roles well but I liked Gocchin(Goto Koichi played by Koya) who always comforted his friends with his food. Shinnobu, Miyuki, Mizuki and Taiyou - all performed well.

Episodes are just 15 minutes, no dragging, only relevant scenes. Music is ok. The plus point of this drama is the interesting story line. The writer has left scope for season 2. No the ending is not inconclusive, but ending is the end, still there is a scope for season 2. Ending is not how I wanted it to be, let us just say hey that's how the writer wanted it to be. The theme of this drama is very relevant to today's SNS culture.

A good Japanese Drama with an interesting plot to watch if you want to take a break from the usual highschool romcom.

A short web drama with many twists and turns

I honestly would'nt of known this web drama if Yutaro did'nt mention this drama name when I translating a interview with Yutaro and Inukai for Zettai BL (Where Yutaro and Inukai play siblings). I wanted to see Yutaro and Inukai act as friends.

But after watching all 16 episodes I can't stop thinking about it. I am moved to write a review on it.

Story

I should'nt give too much away about it. But it's about a group of friends, they all decide to follow a twitter account promising one million yen. From there secrets hidden from the group of friends are shown and the plot deepens and takes a turn from there. I'll say that my mouth dropped during the whole wedding scene.

Acting/cast

I admit that the main character Sotaro played by Okada was really flat lol. He sounded like a foreigner to me. His chemistry with the female heroine was fine. But I did'nt pay much attention to him.

The cast I was focusing on was Yutaro and Inukai. Yutaro's character Taiyou I could relate to (a lot) plus his interaction with Inukai was really cute. So when Yutaro's ture character came out I was'nt expecting it. I wish there was more of his character.

Inukai Atsuhiro though. Talk about a character you should keep your eyes on. Shuntaro (Or Shinto?) at 1st is pretty much in the background and you really don't notice him RIGHT UNTIL THE END. It was an amazing performance again from him and I was'nt expecting it from his character at all.

Music: Some tracks stood out but nothing that special

Negatives

The BIG negative is the ending, which is a shame because the rest of the episodes is a rollercoster ride only to be ruined by a bad ending. NOTHING gets relieved or resolved and it really hurts because the rest of the episodes were amazing.

Overall

This drama is really short, it would'nt take that long to binge watch all the episodes. I would recommend to watch just to see all the crazy plot twists and developments. You really are guessing until the very end. It also makes good commentary on social media/ society as a whole. Even though the ending is bad you can think about who was the real culprit.

Also Inukai Atsuhiro fans I would recommend this web series, while his role is supporter like. You get taken back by his character in the end.
