I still vividly remember watching Hana Yori Dango for the very first time when I was seven years old, over 25 years ago. I remember feeling all the feelings even as a kid: the butterflies, the drama, the tension. I remember hiding somewhere in the house just to secretly watch the iconic kiss scene, feeling like I was witnessing something forbidden and magical at the same time. What a memory. That experience stayed with me, and I think that’s why this story has always held a special place in my heart.

That’s also why I was both curious and cautious going into the Thai adaptation. After all these years, I didn’t expect to feel anything new. And yet… this version surprised me in the best way.

The Thai remake fits its cultural context incredibly well. The characters are adapted in a way that feels natural rather than forced, and the story flows smoothly within a Thai setting. Nothing felt out of place. The actors did a phenomenal job bringing these iconic roles to life, especially considering how familiar and beloved these characters already are.

What truly amazed me is that even after more than 25 years since I first fell in love with Boys Over Flowers, this remake still managed to pull me in. I found myself enjoying it as if I were watching the story for the first time all over again, feeling that same excitement, curiosity, and emotional pull.
This version reminded me why Boys Over Flowers continues to be remade again and again. It’s not just nostalgia, it’s a story that, when handled with care and respect, can still feel fresh and emotionally powerful.
For longtime fans and new viewers alike, this Thai adaptation is absolutely worth watching 🌸💖

literal masterpiece

Usually, I don’t really watch any straight dramas, so I started watching this one with pretty low expectations, but literally after the first episode I couldn’t stop.
Already in the first episode happened so much. I was able to easily adapt to the storyline, but it wasn’t boring as I thought before. Normally when I watch any dramas, there are 8 episodes of plot, but they produced 12 episodes, so it gets quite boring, but F4 Thailand has 16 episodes of plot with tension tiill the end. The story is absolutely not predictable.
In my opinion the cast is chosen carefully and very fitting. Every actor and actress has portrayed their character very well and let in the needed emotions. I followed Bright and Win from 2gether to this drama and got not disappointed. After I started watching I was able to recognise some actors, who I was seen before like Fourth, Fort and Nani, while I was also able to discover some new incredible actors and actresses. I love how the supporting roles freshen up the situation and give some kind of relatability.
The Soundtrack is well produced and is ich in variety. It is well placed and doesn’t give disturbance to the storyline, acting or cinematography.
Overall I think it’s a way too underrated drama, but that might be because it’s already a few years old and I don’t really watch straight dramas. This drama has absolute rewatch value.

F4 Thailand was literally a rollercoaster of emotions and the BEST version of Boys Over Flowers I’ve ever seen! From the first episode, I was glued to the screen—every moment was so exciting, dramatic, and full of heart. The storyline felt fresh, the visuals were stunning, and don’t even get me started on the F4 boys—they were all walking green flags in their own way!

But oh my GOD, Bright as Thyme was everything! His slow transformation from a spoiled, angry boy to the softest, most caring boyfriend made my heart melt every single time. And Win as Kavin—ugh, the flirt with a soft heart—I was gone. Dew as Ren was the quiet storm—soft-spoken, deep, and absolutely dreamy. His calm presence and gentle care just made my heart flutter every time he was on screen!

Their friendship, their growth, their love stories... everything was just chef’s kiss! This drama made me cry, smile, scream, and fall in love over and over again. It’s not just a remake—it’s a whole beautiful experience. If you haven’t watched it yet, you’re seriously missing out on the cutest, most heart-fluttering drama ever! My F4 babies will forever live rent-free in my heart!

Lita ia the one i remeber the most. She was so kind and beautiful. her character was supposed to mirror Gorya, so she was truly lovely and kind but also raw . She let go of her love for her friends MJ- best man loved him. He was so dedicated to his friends. without him f4 woulde been gone to waste lonnggg time ago
Kaning- the love she had for Gorya was so craxy. She made me cry bro
Kavin- Hes real, reminded me of me. Dont wanna share and be vurnerable always closed off but at the same time very very caring
Gorya and Thyme- omg they LITERALLY fought thoruhg thick and thin for each other. I admir their commitment for each other. I dont think i woudl ever do that. They were so cute <3
Rennnnn- this guy is the BIGGEST green flag i have EVER seen. He cared and loved Gorya so much that he didnt want her. He constantly pursued her happiness. Like hes the definition of love is not enough. Gorya love Thyme so much and vice versa but Ren loved Gorya AND did it and risked it all for her. That man was like the perfect example of what love is trully meant to be. a true man, Ren <3 He's "risk it all by Bruno Mars"

The best adaptation of anything ever made

With creativity, you can truly take something, recraft it and make it better or rather the best version of itself.

I usually do not compare different versions of adaptation but this was miles ahead of every adaptation of Hana Yori Dango. They took the manga, recrafted it, modernized it, added dimensions, layers and depth and presented us a cinematic universe where every character, every emotion reached to our core. The plot was very simple, rich boy b*llies and later falling in love with poor girl in a high school setting. But it never ended at that. They added layers after layers. They highlighted the rich society, the pressure the children of rich families face and how they turn them into something they do not want to be. How power is craved and what power can do. It showed the struggle of financially unstable society and the monopoly business tycoons do. It showed a toxic mother and her relationship with their children and on contrary how a warm family, even in struggling conditions can laugh at the meal over the last piece of pork. It also taught us bravery, that you do not need to bow down to power just because you do not belong to the same place. How self pride is the biggest courage. It showed the value of friendship, love and memories. I love how they portrayed every female character with so much of grace, even fif they are hurt, even if they are doing evil, even if they are just existing, they are highlighted. While the drama should have been more male centered I was joyous to see how much importance the women of the story were given to. I absolutely despised Thyme and I did till the very end but I am glad he got his redemption arc which was not just last 2 episodes. He proved himself. Anyways RenGorya for life.


The direction is like watching a 16 episode movie, rather a series. GMMTV didn't hold back on the budget. The color grading made it perfect. The screenwriting was amazing, it kept me hooked without a single second wasted on anything unwanted. The crew did fabulous with the set with even the smallest details holding major significance. I love how the frames managed to capture so much at a time. Every angle, every change of lighting, even the clothes. The sound engineering was cleverly domne. The editing made it the finest. Everything held a significance and fit like a piece of puzzle that gave this the masterpiece F4. The praises can never be enough for the incredible job done. This is the epitome of cinematography.

The cast was solid and solid is my best compliment. I couldn't believe Tu and Dew were first timer. They captured every emotion perfectly. The real life characters were the perfect mirror of the original manga. A more perfect casting cannot exist. Every actor and actress made the entire series even better. It truly felt like they took me in with them to the F4 universe. I especially loved Dew's acting. I genuinely couldn't shred my image of Ren.

I usually get bored of hetero romantic series but F4 was not just that. It was journey of people and their lives. No wonder it became so popular.

If you hated the Chinese version, you're gonna love this one, trust me!

Got influenced by this drama by the thousands of TikTok edits around the web, but coming from a bad impression of the Chinese version (Meteor Garden) I was reluctant to this version, I've never watched any kind of drama coming from Thailand, but I've decided to watch it.
If you like the heartwrenching drama, the extreme angst and the pain, well this one is definitely the go.
I loved how the story builds, nothing is overexaggerated as much as in the Chinese version, Gorya is amazing if compared to Shan Cai, and everything is extremely cruel because can relate to something realistic.
Months after and I still love seeing edits of this amazing drama, definitely, a rewatch is needed once in a while!

The actors and actresses are incredibly talented, and they are also very beautiful and handsome. Each character has their own personality, which makes the story more interesting to watch. The chemistry between the characters also makes many scenes enjoyable and memorable. It is easy to become attached to the characters and want to keep watching to see what happens to them. The plot is another reason why I enjoyed this drama so much. The story is understandable and easy to follow, so you do not have to worry about getting confused by complicated storylines. There is romance, friendship, drama, comedy, and emotional moments, which gives the series a good balance. The story keeps you interested without becoming too difficult to understand. For someone who is a beginner in watching Thai dramas, I would definitely suggest giving F4 Thailand_ a try. i've seen a lot of the other adaptations, and i think this one is living up to my expectations! despite its flaws, the story of boys over flowers is one of my favorites. i was really excited to see this after watching the trailer, and the show has yet to disappoint. although each episode covers a lot of content, it hasn't felt rushed to me and i'm really enjoying it so far. in some of the other versions, the acting is a bit iffy and the story might even seem a bit boring. this is only 2 episodes in and i'm still hooked. i'm really loving the chemistry between the characters and i am really excited to see how much better it can get from here!

Intriguing

Meteor Garden (2018) was the first drama I've watched and it will always have a special place in my heart. That is why I decided to watch F4 Thailand and by now I am not disappointed.

This version is way more violent than the Chinese one, but I think it is a good thing because it shows how much power the boys held over the school and how people were easily made to be hateful and aggressive towards their peers. That will help us understand the leads further in the story.

The actors seem to be cast perfectly for their roles. Bright as Thyme is scary AF and Ren is gentle but reserved. The actress who plays Gorya is incredibly talented and can portray her character well.

For now I really enjoy this drama and I can't wait to see the rest of the episodes!
