A beautiful and heartwarming story.

I just stumbled on this drama while looking for something to watch during New year's eve. And it's so worth it.

First off, the story is unique. (I haven't watch any drama that has a similar illness.) A man who can't forget. Just by reading the summary, it'll sound that this is going to be heavy. And, yes, somehow it is. But there's something in the way they reveal the plot that feels just right. You know it hurts but at the same time, it doesn't? I can't explain it well. Lol There's no complicated twists. And, their choices made them more real. This is one of the main reasons why I like the story.

Second, the leads. Kim Dong-wook and Moon Ga-young needs to be in a new drama again. Their chemistry is off the roof! Sometimes, their scenes make me feel like I'm invading their privacy. Haha I have seen KDW in The Guest and his acting there is superb. But I didn't expect to love him more in this drama. Moon Ga-young is lovely. I've seen her being the antagonist and thought that she fits those roles well. But, here, she's just captivating. Their portrayal of the characters are perfect!

And, lastly, cinematography. Cinematography is beautiful. Plus, i think the theme of the story fits the season when they were filming this. Haha so, i guess they didn't have to edit the colors so much. Some of the scenes feels dreamy. And, I love how most of their intimate scenes are not drowned by the bgm.

Overall, this drama is a must watch! It's like a cup of coffee in a cold night. And, Moon Ga-young's outfits here are so beautiful! She's a goddess in every scene hahahaha

Recommend

I was not planning to watch this drama at all because I have never saw the work of the actress Ga young before and not really fan of romantic drama. I know she is getting popular because of her new drama True beauty so I searched her online and actually found her sympathetic. Then I saw thosd behind the scenes vids of this drama on yt. I totally thought the main character won't suit each other because of their age gap but I was totally wrong. When I saw their chemistry off camera I give this show a chance and I didn't regret. I be totally honest this drama isn't the best drama ever of 2020 but it is not a bad drama either. I can recommend if you like the cast and storyline. I do wish the thriller part which was Stalker in this drama was more well written...for Acting all the casts did amazingly. The song was great too. The romance is kind of slow but fun to watch him falling in love with the girl. If you have time to waste I can definitely recommend to watch....

Recommended ones!

It's a brilliant ones I've watched K-dramas for last 10 years and I think this is the one of my recommended ones. I know the characteristics of K-dramas year by year are really really more detail when it talks about drama plots and more complicated, but this story gives me another refreshing plot without thinking out loud about the plot. I love the way how Yeo Ha-jin stayed next to Lee Jeong-hoon for waited him to opened his heart for her. I love the way how Lee Jeong-hoon tried to open up himself and his heart for Yeo Ha-jin. Their age gap are no joke but they could bring their self up and gave them all for this drama, also their chemistry were sooooo real for called like.. "it was just acting". I, myself, don't like to pairing main leads in one drama and hope them become true in real life, but, Kim Dong-wook and Moon Ga-young really made me to do this one (and I really they have another same project as main leads in future lol). If you are the newbie in K-drama world and hesitate what's first drama should to watch, I surely recommend you this drama as your start to watch. No regret at all.

A CLICHE, BUT NOT ANY CLICHE

Finally, I finished it! As I said in my first impression about this drama, we have here a lot of cliches. But this doesn't make the experience of watching it less enjoyable. We had themes pretty heavy, like murders, stalking, mental disturbs... But we also have relevant themes, as the pressure lived by the celebrities in social media and how this can affect their lives. These themes are embellished by some moments of fun and by the soft personality of some characters. Besides the relaxation, I would put this drama in the hall "adult drama", because we don't see just superficial matters being the focus, but truly and deep issues that can bring a good reflection to the audience. Even I could reflect on the influence of the comments in social media that many times we think that don't affect the artists, but that ends up creating an absurd pressure many times.

ABOUT THE CHARACTERS

LEE JUNG HOON, THE DREAM MALE LEAD

I confess that the character of Lee Jung Hoon was my favorite in this drama. I like the male lead as an introverted guy, but to me, Jung Hoon was tailor-made. His disease makes he has a cold behavior and in the first episodes this is highlighted, but for me, the gold was his interaction with Ha Jin, at the pace of her seduction to him. The man has fire in his eyes, you guys! He is super determined and mature, which made me feel safe knowing that I wouldn't see (almost) any childishness in their relationship. I loved so much the way how he thinks about all the questions that were inside his mind and understood that he needed to make a choice about his life. The character captivated me! It was my first drama with Kim Dong Wook, and although he isn't the stereotype of the male lead that I'm used to, I liked so much his performance! I really looked at him and could see a man tormented by his memories.

YEO HA JIN, THE CRAZY GIRL THAT WE LOVE

Ha Jin's personality was pretty refreshing for me too. It is common to see female leads full of joy and fun, but Ha Jin has something more in her ambition and impudence. Her first scenes trying to attract Jung Hoon was a mix of shame and pride to me and made me so excited. It isn't common to see women making the first move in romance, mainly in Asian dramas, in such an open and persistent way. In the final episodes, I end up getting disappointed with some points, but in the general, she was a character that I really enjoyed. Moon Ga Young is amazing and I'm anxious to see her in another drama (cheering to the confirmation of "Link" with her and Kim Seon Hon happen soon).

MOON SEUNG HO, THE CRAZY MAN THAT WE LOVE TO HATE

This is the kind of character that pissed you off. I don't use like the "psychopaths" that we see in the most of dramas because of the exaggeration and no sense, but with Moon Seung Ho I don't have any complaints. He isn't a psychopath, by his profile, we could fit him in the paranoid spectrum, with erotomania: a person that has a delusion conviction that another person (mostly someone who is untouchable) is in love with her/him. Buring the drama I hated Seung Ho with all my strengths, and I think this shows us how good is this character. We can see the consistency in his delusion until the end, and the way how he shows up to Jung Hoon and Ha Jin even after all those years, keeping his delusion, is so convincing! I understood very well his plot and I thought his circle closed in the right way. Joo Seok Tae did a great job here, as the most part of the support roles that he makes (I liked him so much in "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" as Mr. Choi).

HA KYUNG <3 IL KWON

I need to do an honorable mention to this couple that almost stole the scene here! Guys, how I laugh with these two! Ha Kyung is love, always defending Ha Jin and taking care of her, many times putting herself behind and following her sister's wishes because she knows that one day Ha Jin would need her badly. So, when Il Kwon showed up and start to interact with her, I got so excited! Il Kwon is the classic support role that makes you fall in love. Super cute and helpful. Their chemistry is amazing and made us cheering all the time for their happiness.

LOW POINTS

How I mentioned above, a thing that we don't miss here is a cliche. Even getting surprised in some moments and with a heavy story, I still feel the taste of "I know what will happen" in others, mainly in the end. I don't care about cliches, even because I wouldn't watch Asian dramas if I do, but for some people, maybe this could be too much. Something that for me wasn't pretty done was the plot of Ha Jin's stalker. We get curious about all the thriller that the drama makes putting three potential suspects and reviling just in the last minute who was the true one, but... I don't know. After we finally find out, I just got kinda "hum, okay". I think this could be better done, but I understand that they also wanted to save some time to develop the story of Seung Ho. Anyway, these were the points that made me bothered. If you want to read some spoilers about the end, open the comment below!

FINAL CONSIDERATIONS

Although all cliches and low points, I really enjoy the experience of watching this drama. It was a new story, very different from what I'm used to watching, and also made me very exciting to finish soon and find out everything that would happen. I believe that if you watch this with low expectations like me, and focus on the high points, you can have a lot of fun!

For me, this is a "PRETTY GOOD ONE"! (★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★) You can watch this one on Viki (Viki Pass Plus) or in Kocowa (free), both of them only with English subtitles.

See you soon!
XOXO, Mari.

The story-
Find me in your memory story was interesting and not off heard before. Although, at first I was uncomfortable, i slowly got on terms with the fact that she was going to end up with her past bestfriends lover. This was a turn off because I didn't want any complications as they both had difficult pasts there was a lot of scenes that was based in the past and showed her bestfriend's personality, this made me feel more guilty and I nearly stopped watching it for that reason, I kept watching it because of the interesting side storyline of a stalker as They showed sides of the korean industry that we haven't seen. The story was mostly based around the fact that they had to get over the incident I would I won't give too much detail into that since you may watch it
i also personally love the jobs that they were given because it suited them as a character and as an aesthetic.
Overall The story and the production was interesting and kept me hooked till the end.

acting/cast-
The acting and cast of this production were suited perfectly for the roles, I personally didn't find any problems with that acting. I don't think there's much to talk about on this topic because I was certainly satisfied with this area. Some may find it weird that they had such a big age gap, but at the end of the day it is all acting and i think we should get over it.

genre-
romance-
The romance was really wholesome and I enjoyed seeing the characters interact, originally started watching it for the second couple and honestly stayed for the second couple. They were everything that I expected and even more they had such cute scenes and had a lot of young feelings. the second Couple didn't have a lot of scenes but honestly I expected it every episode they had the least two things which isn't that bad so it was okay. The First couple was really good, they had a lot of natural scenes and honestly I wasn't Mad About It so I definitely recommend watching it for the romance because it had a lot of scenes and even a side couple

comedy-
The comedy was everything I could ask for, they are really funny and and honestly I cracked a few laughs I definitely recommend watching this for the comedy, the first few episodes are really light and have a lot of jokes although that declines it's still keeps me smiling in every episode.

overall-
Overall I definitely recommend this although it gets a bit frustrating sometimes and it definitely has some ups and downs I definitely think its a much watch for everybody to get their opinions on it

Great story and even great acting

The best part about this series is the intensity of the plot and the way the story is narrated. I was just hooked up from the start. Like really, didn't even skip one minute, watched the intros and outros too. The OSTs and the timing of them in the background with the story going in the front are just outstanding.

You really can't ignore the main lead. Like they are adorable as hell, and what a pairing. They compliment each other in every way. I just seriously was more hooked up for the pairs. I seriously can't explain happiness and satisfaction in words. Only those who have seen the drama will understand.
Yeah as always some annoying pairs are present. I hated the father doctor character the most. He was too controlling the ML, but the ML never listened. And the fact that he just went to the extreme extends just to defend his thesis and books is another hating for the doctor character. Apart from that, there is no other reason for anyone to miss this drama.

I highly recommend it for those who have similar tastes in Crash Landing on you or Goblin type of romance. You will never regret it after watching this.

Best Drama Ever

The amazing chemistry that the actors and actresses have is something I cant really describe. everything is portrayed so beautifully. This is by far one of the best drama's I have ever watched and let me tell you it will really have you sitting on the edge of your sit just to see what will happen next. The drama itself is so... it's hard to describe in words but I really do recommend it. You will fall in love with the actors and actresses and might probably hate a few others from the bottom of you heart, but isn't that part of all dramas? Well... moving on the emotions that are portrayed are just so... how do I even describe it without getting flustered (in a good way). Overall it will have you suspecting many of characters so be in guard because I'm telling you, this drama will having on your toes.

I personally think this is one of the best K-drama's of 2020. The acting is beyond what words can describe. I hope you watch this drama and fall in love with the characters just as I did. (FYI: I just started watching the drama even though it has come to an end a day or two ago) Please give "Find Me In Your Memory" a good rating and I hope you enjoy(ed) watching the drama.

This drama is my 2nd favorite with the 1st being Crash Landing On You, 3rd being Meow: the secret boy, 4th being Are you human too, and 5th being I'm not a robot. these are my top 5 best favorite K-Drama's put of all that I have ever watched.

I just finished watching Find me in your memory and I liked it so much i am writing my first review ever.

Cast / chemistry
I haven’t seen Kim Dong Wook in a romantic lead role before, but he’s really charismatic and charming as ‘Anchor Lee’ - and the main reason I stayed glued to the show.

He portrayed his character’s internal struggle really well - between holding on to old memories of his first love and moving on to allow himself to love again. You really can’t help but feel for the guy!

And Moon Ga Young’s Ha Jin is such a cheery and and likeable character. I’m not sure why there was so much discussion about their real life 13-year age gap - because the couple looked so good together on screen. Their chemistry is amazing :)

The supporting cast is also very likeable. I enjoyed watching the loving banter between Ha Jin and her sister-cum-manager, Ha Kyung (played by Kim Seul-Gi), the bromance between Jung Hoon and his best friend-cum-doctor, Tae-Eun (Yoon Jong-hoon) and the respect and friendship between Jung Hoon and his boss, Director Choi.

Pacing / Story
I was hesitant to start on this drama at first because I tend to avoid melodramas (especially the tear jerkers) and slow-burn romances. But my fears were unfounded!

This drama is beautifully written and paced well. While the first 2/3 was a bit faster and more interesting because of the stalker storyline, the final 10 episodes connected on an emotional level as it focused more on the relationship between the two leads and showed their struggle to break out from the guilt and burdens of the past to bravely love in the present.

This is a feel-good romantic drama which will stay in my memory for a long while.. :)

'Find Me in Your Memory' is one of the hidden gems that 2020 has to offer. I met a lot of people who had the same thing in mind when starting it, including me: most of us only started it because we were bored and in quarantine, so why not watch every airing show. That's how I found myself looking forward to every episode every week because of how beautiful this drama was, how engaging the story became by each episode. The chemistry between both characters was amazingly good, the thrilling suspect hunting at the first half was very interesting and made so many of us come up with theories to wonder who could be the stalker and it brought a lot of fun to the whole plot. I really liked how unique and refreshing this story was for most of the drama, so I enjoyed every bit of it... Until about episode 14.

Yeo Ha Jin's character was one of my most favorite FL for the most parts of this show. She was cheerful, strong, mature, feminine and not embarrassing at all. This is not a combination that we see in K-Dramas very often, because the FL "must" be tough and not pay attention to her looks if she wants to be strong, or she "must" be feminine and weak. So, I really liked this formula for YHJ and I believe that's one of the things that stood out the most about her character. I liked the fact that she was the one who liked the ML first and she did push herself on him in order to make him like her back, but we never once see her being ridiculously into him, making him directly uncomfortable, chasing him around after he pushed her away and stuff like that. She always gave him the space he needed but staying close enough so that he wouldn't go away. With one-sided love lines like how this one started, it's very common to feel second-hand embarrassment with the FL's actions, but I never felt anything like this with YHJ because she always knew her place and knew when to stop.

However, with all that in mind, I do believe the writers ruined her character by the last 3-4 episodes of the show. She was always very giving, never thought only about herself but also didn't put others' feelings before her own. She was balanced, but they ruined this towards the ending by making her quite selfish and even incoherent with what they built throughout the rest of the drama. The fact that she kept going back and forth on her words and pushed him away just to go back to him was nonsense to me. The last goodbye wasn't even for her own sake or his, which is the main reason why I was angry at the writers for throwing in the most common cliches of sudden breakup, going abroad, timeslip, getting back 1 episode later. If any of this had been for either of their sake, I would've understood YHJ but she was in pain and so was he, so her actions didn't make any sense to me anymore. I blame the writers for a lazy ending.

Now, moving to our beloved Anchor-nim, Lee Jeong Hoon. I must confess in advance that I really had no expectations from this character (or from YHJ) because I had never seen Kim Dong Wook in a drama before (I saw him in Coffee Prince but that was so long ago and I didn't really pay attention, also he has just a supporting role anyways), so he was actually one of the reasons why I wasn't sure to start this drama or not, but I'm glad that I did. Lee Jeong Hoon started off as a stiff man with too many memories from his first love that were triggered by little details and affected his daily life. For this he didn't let anyone in his life, he didn't want to be involved in anyone's life anymore and was afraid of being too hurt again and not forgetting his pain. But then, this very cheerful and happy girl comes to his life and a series of events that looked like fate start happening as they find themselves involved more and more in each other's lives, and LJH ends up becoming YHJ's protector.

I usually don't like the damsel in distress type of plots, but I kind of gave it a pass in this case because YHJ was always a very strong character that didn't need protection (not because of her personality at least, but because of her celebrity status). So LJH protecting her and saving her multiple times didn't really feel bad for me, as they never made her look like a weak woman who needed a man's protection, yet there he was for her.

I loved how he always showed his true emotions after he realized that he couldn't live without her; he never kept anything to himself when it came about his feelings and was always vocal about how much he loved her. One of my favorite things about this couple is actually their communication. Aside from the story about YHJ's dead friend, they always talked each other's problems out, they never held themselves back while creating unnecessary misunderstandings or anything similar. That's why they were always true to each other and loved each other dearly. Their chemistry as actors also helped immensely to like this couple with such a huge age gap, so every time they were on screen together we could see their eyes sparkling love, their smiles expressing how much they loved each other.

And then: the skinship. Being Moon Ga Young so much younger than Kim Dong Wook, I honestly didn't expect so much skinship (not beyond a few hugs) or the amount of kisses that we got. Since the very first kiss was the usual lips pressing each other with no movement, I thought we would get like 3-4 kisses like this and the usual FL being surprised at the sudden kiss from the ML. But! We never got any kiss like this and I totally love it. Instead, we got really nice kisses that felt absolutely soft and in the right place, and the ML never roughly kissed her (which is the type of kiss that I hate the most in K-Dramas). I lost count on how many soft scenes of hands-grabbed and walking next to each other, or sitting on different locations and head-on-shoulder resting we got, but I totally love this drama for the amount of love that the main leads showed and how they carried this drama on their own with no issue for about 13-14 episodes. The last kiss melted me too much, to be honest.

So, leaving our main leads aside, this drama was full of likable characters that made the plot much better. Ha Kyung was such a great and supportive sister and I was so glad to know that they gave her a love line as well with Il Kwon, mostly because Kim Seul Gi's characters are usually an accessory of the plot and I am tired of this type of mistreatment. She's such a great actress and deserves a plot with a story on her own, not one that keeps making her an added element of either main lead. I really hope she gets better characters and especially characters that don't focus on how (not) "ugly" she is, or make her tacky or boring. I'm quite tired of seeing her in the same type of role. I don't know if she likes to be called ugly, I bet she doesn't, but seeing her in 'Queen of The Ring' was such a pain, and then seeing how her she's also considered ugly or "the strong girl" (therefore, ugly, not woman enough) is really tiring. But either way, I'm glad they gave her a short love line on her own with a cute character like Il Kwon. At the beginning they were very cute, but by the end I found myself skipping some of their scenes or fast-forwarding through them.

We have other supporting characters like Director Choi and her husband who were totally lovable, or YHJ's Director, Chul, the stalker Director... All of them were very cool characters that added different things to the plot and made it much more interesting. Tae Eun is one of the characters that I could never figure out and felt like he was just thrown there for no reason, yet he had an important role on the story. Still, it's not like I hated him but he was a bit confusing. The doctor was horrible and I knew since the very beginning that I would hate him greatly because it was awful. The stalker was one of my favorite characters, actually, since he managed to really look like a madman and psycho and made me fear for the characters around him. Also, Jung Seo Yeon was such a lovely girl and I'm still sad that such thing happened to her, Ha Jin and her would've been so cute together.

To conclude this review, I just want to say that even though this drama was a huge victim of great start but lazy writing, I still loved it a lot and is one of the dramas that I would always recommend because the plot started off good, and like most K-Dramas it went downhill by the end, but it's not like the quality dropped from 10 to 5, I would just say it went from 9.5 to 9.0-8.0, depending on your POV. Still, this drama isn't a hit that you MUST watch, but it's something not to miss out since you will most of the show.

Hmmm how should i explain how i love this couple? They are a very mature and realistic couple.
.
.
.
there's one moment when hajin asking Jung Hoon's opinion regarding his career 1. choose sign contract with k-movie or 2. continue his movie project in usa both, noted that both are great opportunities.

Literally she will doing anything what Jung Hoon choose, and deep inside she hoping jung hoon will suggest 2nd choices which means asking her to stay and they can meet whenever they want.

But what amaze me is Jung Hoon not blatantly suggest hajin for first choice, he was actually search and learning a whole night about both choice, the producer, script etc(since he don't understand anything about movie-land) which is the best choice for hajin.

this is not a drama about a man who continues to be sorrowful because of his hyperthymesia nor about woman who grim about his past this is about the way they deal with every problems.

// #FindMeInYourMemory (그 남자의 기억법) Review:

/- Actual Rating: 8.5/10
/- This felt like it was a sequel of its own drama that didn't exist in the first place but it is still good anyway.
/- I love that every episode have smashing truths that will surely satisfy your expectations.
/- This drama had been very feisty with its storyline. I can't believe there were 3 antagonists in this show. 와~ 대박!
/- And lastly, Mun Ka Young! My respect is all yours. The emotional stress she'd been putting in all of her roles. May it be on being an antagonist or protagonist, she's literally giving it all. You're a true professional in your own craft, Mun Ka Young. ✨✨✨
