Although the tones of these two dramas are completely different, both dramas deal with mental health illnesses and they're effects on the character's lives. Woo Joo, the main character of "Soul Mechanic" deals with anger management issues and finds it hard to control her temper just like Hwi Oh does in "Mad for each Other."
Soul Mechanic and Dr. Rintaro have a lot in common. Similar story and characters. Both are about a psychiatrist working in a hospital who is excellent but somehow different: He often doing work even outside of his workplace, has an ideal of healing everyone and uses unorthodox methods to care patients, and eventually geting himself into trouble. Both has a Doctor Patient Relationship. Both young woman has seriuos mental illness because of a childhood trauma related to her mother.
Both shows are about a therapist and their patient finding each other and healing each others scars. In Mental Coach Jegal the stories main fl is a short skater and in Soul Mechanic the main fl is an actor. They both also have an age gap involves too. It isn't the. focal point in Soul Mechanic, but he. is older than her by some years. I think that both shows have a similar vibe so If you liked one you'll differently like the other.
While watching Hospital Playlist, I had deja vu like moments that reminded me of Soul Mechanic. Both are showing the private and professional lives of people working in the health care system. They also both tell beautiful and sometimes heart-wrenching stories of the patients and their families. Many scenes are about the doctor visiting the wards in the hospital and interacting with the patients.
