If he says "cute" one more time...

Maybe there are two ways to watch fluffy romance series. One is dressed in your onesie, wearing pink slippers, clipping your toenails with one eye on the screen to admire the soft pout of the FL, or the ML's big brown eyes, and there's nothing wrong with that.
The other is actually paying attention to the story, because you like romance, but this story, I assure you, will reach the opposite effect, in more than one way.
First, there's this FL who rarely leaves her house because she works her head off.
Second, she only goes out because her boss orders her to do so with the command to find the necessary inspiration for her job.
Third, the only guy she meets is a hairdresser who falls instantly in love with her, just because WHAT exactly...because he can't resist a makeover? Or because he is a closet-masochist who likes her disinterest in him? She falls asleep when he does her hair, he's stood up by her...and all he can say is she's CUTE? I know this is the typical male compliment to a female in Japanese series, and he says it at least seven times each episode.
Added bonus seems to be she's a workaholic just like him, and still a virgin, and the very first time they actually did it, she reaches for her note book at her bed side to take notes on her new experience. Not to cherish a beautiful memory, but to store information for her new manga.
I'm so happy this is pure fiction, because in reality, the Japanese birth rate would dip to an all time low with unromantic people like that.

" Nee sensei, shiranai no ? " was super cute.

The story was adorable and the two main leads had chemistry. The drama of the love story was quickly resolved and it didn't get tiring, fortunately, because, overall, that twist was too cliche. The love story was a bit cheesy, but the drama was short and cute, so it was more of a fluff, easy drama to watch, so you can't really ask for more. Also, the manga plot was nice and the idea of how they presented the main story, with the two povs was interesting.

However, there were two things that kind of didn't work for it, though they weren't deal breakers. First of all, the two pov thing, although entertaining and original, it also meant that there were some scenes that you get to rewatch even though you have just finished watching them. Also, the drama was a bit too short, probably needed either longer episodes and more episodes.

But, the performances were good and the story was nicely paced. So, overall, seven out of ten.

I dunno why everyone puts such a low rating to this dorama

Honestly i came only for Eiji san as i adore him after i watched Kamen Rider Build..and honestly i couldn't get used to him playing as perfect boyfriend aka Riichi since i am getting used him for shouting and yelling for 40+ episodes .. don't blame me please..

Here is Riichi is kind of boyfriend you guys dream of, he is handsome, fcking patient (i mean your girlfriend ignores your messages for 2 days even your call is really something, isn't ?)..when some of people says the FL is so toxic since she prioritizes her works so much, i don't agree..she has her priorities which is her job and plus for Hana, Riichi his very first boyfriend and she doesn't know anything about relationship..i adore how these two talks about their dreams and respects one another.. as you are getting older, some of you may have priorities and here this dorama tells the mutual understanding is important to keep your relationship in a good way..

The only bad thing is TOO DAMN SHORT..well the manga itself hasn't been finished yet so maybe that is why this dorama ends with..you know..it seem Riichi plans to propose her..ISN'T CLIFF HANGER ????

Light and good dorama with less or almost nobody annoying characters..Maybe after you finish this one, you would start saying..Nee sensei, shiranai no ??

Well, Imma start with the good things: the actors weren't that bad.

Now the things I didn't like:

This drama becomes annoying and boring since the very first episode.

THERE IS NO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AT ALL!!! Characters stay the same from the beginning to the end. She is still addicted to her work, without really caring about him. He... how was is personality even like? She could have tried to find a way of balancing her work and her relationship (thing she was clearly not interested in doing). He could have been a little more upset about it... you know? To make things kind of interesting in this drama. If there is something I like in drama, is seeing how characters grow and change their minds with something, basically some development. Maybe a backstory would be interesting too (and no, I don't think "him being addicted to work and not being good in relationships until he finds someone even more addicted than him" his a backstory good enough to make me care.)

Anyways, this couple is terrible. As I said, she doesn't care about him most of the time and he only cares about sex. Maybe he was the perfect boyfriend (which, somehow, also annoyed me), but it seems like he only does that to get sex and keeps pressuring her. That's just my point of view, I'm sorry if it isn't like what I'm saying, but it's the idea I got.

By the end of the drama, it can happen two things: or you forget the main character's friends exist or you wonder what happened to them. You know why? Because they don't have a proper ending! And the same happens to her editor. You don't even know what happened to them. You don't know anything about them, for that matter.

And when you finally think something interesting is going to happen... it doesn't. They just end it out of nothing. Like when the guy's friend who was in love with him, just decides she won't want him anymore like 5 minutes after she said she would fight for him and blah blah...

I think this could have been a much better drama, however I didn't see any purpose in its existance.

Very important thing in this drama had been shown that is mutual understanding ,understanding between the partners and their love towards work as well as giving space to eachother ,without doubting anything ,just clearing each other thoughts this also shows the strong bond between the partners . All the 6 episodes are good .
You know sensei and then his statement that's dialogue are good actually romantic .
I want one more episode in which he takes her to aplace where he wants to take her and their he proposes her .

Brownie Approved J-drama

This is my first Japanese review so bear with me.

I’m not exactly a fan of Japanese content as they aren’t what I look for in a drama, however this late night random find turned out to be the best thing I’ve ever come across.

I liked everything about this except for female lead. She was way too awkward, nervous and timid for my taste, I don’t think a boyfriend was what she needed much less wanted. She was already in a long term relationship with her job. As the plot progressed, I liked her even less because her actions only made her more annoying. I feel like their relationship was very much one sided until the last 10 mins or so. Male lead was perfect in every way; he was literally the best boyfriend anybody could ever ask for. He was nice, kind, supportive and very very patient...the type of Male lead I wish other countries had more of....China, I’m looking at you! I think he deserved better than what he got.

This has a good rewatch value but I don’t tend to rewatch dramas all that much. I believe this is the first time I’ve watched a J-title and it’s not felt like I’m torturing myself because of the language, it really does help to watch something you like that way the language isn’t such a huge issue. Not sure I’ll watch something Japanese again quite so soon. On this occasion, I got lucky lol. This is definitely a Brownie Approved Japanese drama.

Never judge a book by its cover

if you are wondering if you should watch it or not I suggest you do because the story was not really new but it has its own unique sense. It may seem boring to other people but it was really worth watching. It may seem boring to them because of the unusual female lead and male lead character but it was refreshing to watch. The story it self shows respect, love, adoration and patience. It was inspiring to see a male lead who thinks about how it was okay to not be together all the time with the female lead. It was also nice to see a female lead who is very strong and independent.

The characters may not have a very explosive chemistry but they did their role fantastically. The way they portray the characters was amazing and it made my heart skipped a beat. It may not seem much to others but it was a good drama and it is worthy of your time.

Typical nonsense

I have been watching Jdramas for some time and i know the drill fully, so i don't expect much.

This drama has a cute story. It is romantic. BUT, there is a big but here. It does not make sense at all. Like in real world, there won't be any nonfunctional couple like this drama's pair.
The FL is way too shallow, and the ML is lacking. Their relationship is weird. A simple sex is postponed a dozen times( yeah understandable because she is a virgin, but mannn she always falls asleep. If you are a workaholic and so sleep-deprived, better get your life together before wasting someone else's time.
The ML is lost. Like you like her because she is CUTE? ok she is. Then what? Start where we left off? Ok cool, then what?
Don't get me started on misunderstandings. They are solved like in a second :)))
The jealous second FL doesn't even make sense :))
If you have so much time to spare, watch it. Other than that, a big NO.

Disappointing as a romance

The ML is by far the best thing in this story. I adored him and I think he played his role very well, considering the script. I'm not mad I watched it just to see his cute face. The ML is however the only reason to watch this.

The FL is a workaholic who catches the eye of a sweet, kind and very pretty man. He immediately (for reasons we will never know) falls for her and tries to have a relationship with her. I don't know if he spent more than a few hours with her in their first 3 months together.

I was expecting character development and that the FL would learn to have more balance in her life. I did not get this. In fact, if I watched a show were a ML treats a FL the way this stories FL treats the ML I would have seen him as a user. The FL knows she is a bad girlfriend but is okay with this, so she clearly doesn't care for him.

I don't understand why the ML is so infatuated with the FL. She knowingly ignores him 99% of the time (I'm not even exaggerating) and when she sees him she gives him minimal amounts of affection. Maybe its the old "Treat 'em mean, keep 'em keen" adage. This is one of the few (if only) stories I've watched were I really hope they break up in the future.

So the MC's have a very depressing "relationship" and it doesn't get better. If I wanted to see crappy relationships I could just look around IRL.

The story ended on a heartbreaking note when he realizes he won't see her (again) for an undisclosed amount of time (again) and tells her to just call him when she wants to see him again - he will rush over when she remembers his existence (last 5 words added by me). Ugh, I lost some respect for him there.

If you love romance, skip this story. On the other hand maybe put the sound off and just look at the pretty ML for a few hours.

Awkward

Likes: Eiji Akaso is very cute. Baba Fumika is pretty.

Dislikes: If I hear "Eh?....Eh?" one more time.....

This had the potential to be super hot, but instead it was just awkward as hell. There were no sparks. The ML was very cute, but his acting was a bit stiff. The FL was at first cute, but then got SO annoying with her "Eh?....Eh?....Eh?" Everything just felt a bit random and almost uncomfortable.

I think in the hands of better actors and direction, there could have been an undercurrent that would make you understand why these two belong together. Instead you're left wondering what the hell did I just watch?

2 main English songs as their drama

Honestly the drama is very nice to pass the time and it does have fluffy scenes that gain the re-watch value however there's also cheesy scenes that we probably skip. 1 interesting is each ep have each POV, very interesting

What I really love is the Eng songs that plays as their background whenever there is sweet moments and so. I even downloaded and listen it The chemistry is good however the plot is illogical lah haha - like why the guy suddenly just fell hard to the FL just cos she too tiring and fell asleep when he cutting the hair.....ermmm hmmm haha so just watch lightly - its quite enjoyable lah, the songs is great , hairstyle & fashion and the production setup is nice to watch and the casts (I likeee) .

Not the best j-Drama I've watched, but also, not so bad.
I wanted to see this title cause it just been added on Viki website, so since J-Dramas also have the perfect length over episodes for me, I wanted to give it a chance.
The start I can say it's pretty confusing, I know that is based on a shoujo manga, so they don't follow a clean narration line, but the fact the falls in love with her in less than 10 seconds, it's confusing!!!!?
Even the time passing by is badly made, they start in the present time, and in less than half of an episode were yet a month after the whole story, which everything develops in a way pretty much unreal!!!!????
The story starts to get way better from the 4th episode till the end, way more realistic and actually follows a storyline that's clean. I liked the end, probably a little bit rushed but coherent with the last two episodes.
I also liked the POV scenes, they cleared out some strange scenes from both of the sides!!
