Definitely recommend.

The synopsis is misleading. This is a psychological drama above all else. The thematic question being "necessary evil;"On the surface level it's may seem like a drama that's going no where, but through out the drama many things are being contemplated. The importance of change, Should you be righteous following the truth, or is that righteousness just pure selfishness at the cost of the people closest to you. Should the formation of something signify it's existence now that, that time has passed.

Many may be underwhelmed by Heita since he's not doing anything major, but in actuality he is the glue that connects everything to everything else. He brings out the human side of a drama, and best of all just because someone is doing something evil doesn't mean that they are evil. Heita looks faces the gray world that we all live in.

Sorry my review my seem cryptic, but if you watch the drama you'll understand it. And I don't want the drama to be spoiled.

Watch this drama, but only if you are into nuanced plots.

A Masterclass on amazing Acting and Direction.

The story writing is layered and at times can seem rather uninspired. The story itself seems non-existent, where everything, every action, every character, and every consequence flows naturally. But the Main draw of this drama are the amazing actors and how well it is directed. Acting and Direction are nuanced. Though it is a Business drama, it has the intrigue of a Mistry and the engagement of a thriller. The actors did not ever over act. The pacing hooks you and the developments keep you interested. The drama for light views may seem a bit pointless but is layered with veteran actors playing off each other. It is like an intriguing thriller that will you guessing its outcome. The dramas main focus is acting though, and you’ll understand what I mean if you watch it. Yes the drama has been subbed. Look in the comments

I finished watching "Iron Bone" (5 episodes) on WOWOW on-demand.

It is a drama version of Jun Ikeido's novel of the same name, which has been made into a drama in WOWOW.

Heita Miyajima (Ryunosuke Kamiki), a young employee who joined the mid-sized construction company "Ikematsu-gumi" for the fourth year, was a "on-site" person, but one day he moved to the business department.

Heita witnesses the "collusion" that prevails in the construction industry when dealing with large-scale projects such as public works projects, which are completely different from the past.

If one big company collapses, all the small and medium-sized companies that undertake it will also collapse ..., thus collusion is necessary evil ... Manzou Mihashi (Kyohei Shibata), an industry fixer He tells us, but the rigging is crowded with politicians who suck sweet juice by speaking, suspicious consulting companies, and major construction companies who are accustomed to rigging and do not try to change the industry.

The characters are attractive, and he is a senior in the business department, Goro Nishida (Shido Nakamura), Risa Shibata (Koyuki) who always encourages Heita, and Iwao Kanematsu (Miyakawa), who makes me feel the difficulty of middle management. Ichirota), Soji Ogata (Seiyo Uchino), managing director of who hired Hirata for an interview.

Even if it is ideal to carry out at a reasonable price without collusion, in reality, government offices try to carry out public works projects at prices that are impossible, and each company is forced to reduce costs unreasonably in order to make a successful bid for it. Or ...

The activities of everyone, including Hajime Naito (Kanji Ishimaru) of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office, who worked hard to detect the collusion, were reliable.

Even in reality, I really wanted the prosecutors to do their best to resist the Abe administration.

Hard to find gem!

If you like the genres mentioned in the MDL for this jdrama, i bet you’ll regret missing this Jdrama. I’d say this is a very well acted, complete performance. The story is perfect for short episode count. The leads really take their work seriously and it’s almost like a movie so we’ll couples episode to episode. I’m new to Jdrama, I’d rate this as the top jdrama I’ve seen until now. I’d love to get recommendations like this jdrama from any of you.

The ML is like me , takes his work so seriously (huh is that a complement, really?). He joins a new team and then on things are fast paced. There is no drag here and the characters act their heart out within the scope given. The jdrama is not ground breaking but it played its story very well. I’d appreciate the screenplay more than the story!

Your MDLer,
Surya

Subtleties and body language

At first I was wondering what is the purpose of the drama. It really feels like there is no point in the drama. But it is surprisingly engaging. And the direction is beautiful with subtle nuances. The best part of the drama are all the actors. The drama is filled with veterans. It is a master class in acting. Especially since even the best of jdramas have at least some level of overacting. Here it was just perfect. Great actors disappeared in scenes where they were not the focus yet in the next scenes their your could feel their presence. Emotions were expressed with subtleties. Inner conflict portrayed through body language. It's a must watch but only if you're into seeing good acting. (It's not plot heavy). And if you're not paying attention it might feel empty.
