Slowpaced pure romance story of two pairs of loverbirds
plot - this drama got two main pairs of loverbirds.Main lead is athlete doing 100m sprint. Main female lead is professional translator and subtitles maker for movies.
Secondary female is CEO and Secondary male painter.
story goes around their lives from how they met to how they grow font to each other up to their problems with family, work, friends... literally story is about life of these two pairs.
Chemistry between actors is quite nice one and was one of main things which keep me watch.
Slow pace of progress in their romance was filled by unexpected situations and deepening relationship between main roles and support ones.
I dont give 9/10 often this drama is sure above average 8,5 would be more objective, BUT I gived it half star more for personal like.

Quite boring at first but
I had zero expectation when I first watch this drama and honestly I felt boring watching it but when the story slowly getting into the second lead couple, I became hooked. Run On is such amazing drama it's not about dramatic gestures but about small small things we do for people we care which warms our heart more than anything. Characters in Run On have their own unique personality and own problems that is shown in a perfect manner and is not overdone and each character tries to give us a valueable message the more we watch the drama is what makes the drama worth watching. Was this review helpful to you?

Highly underrated
I am kind of new to my dramalist as I become a member like a week or two ago. So I have watched a legit amount of dramas. I am starting to write reviews on dramas I loved the most. Run on is so underrated. It came out with True beauty and we all know what happened. At first when I asked some of my friends they said to like run on is not that good, you should watch true beauty. So I was little hesitant while selecting this to be my next watch. The synopsis didn't encourage my curiosity. I solely took up this drama because I trusted the network ,yes jtbc it's the reason and first episode into the drama I was like is there any problem with the main lead,he is acting weird and all sorts of things crossed my mind as the episode progressed I started liking him and by the end I actually fall in love with ki seon gyeom and joined his fanclub (the president post of the fan club would Been mine but already occupied by young hwa😅)Oh mi joo is fiercely independent but I didn't think she is will not fit into that strong female lead category mould of ko moon young or Jang man yeol. But she is really strong lead character in kdramas. She teaches him to understand his self worth and teaches him to stand up for yourself. Im siwan's character feels weird at first but slowly the character grows on you. I loved his acting this was my first time watching him(I am yet to see miseang). I don't have any idea that he is an idol actor. Second female lead dan ah portrayed by soo young is a conglomerate with sneakers. The first time I saw her character that sneakers caught my attention and ofcourse you will find out the reason later. Her character is return with so much emotions first I thought she is extremely mean and self centered but you never judge a character with a single episode. I loved her banters with mi joo. I will take a minute to appreciate the persistence of her younger brother to make her appreciate his worth and love his interactions with young hwa. Young hwa is another innocent yet passionate second male lead in kdrama world. The bromance and sismance of this drama is worth watching. I love those flim references in this drama, some of them are like Easter eggs for you to find. This drama ponder into diverse topics like equality, sexual orientations, understanding your self worth, workplace problems, medias interest in celebrity life and so on,yet it come across as a sweet, lovable slice of drama. I particularly loved the scene where dan ah realised her mistake and says sorry to young hwa friend for her harsh remarks. I think that's the highlight of this drama they actually says sorry for clearing problems. The chemistry between main leads is soooooo good. Next thing, which is amazing about this drama is there is "NO AWKWARD LOVE TRIANGLES". The story of this drama is so well written that there is no torturous forced breakups or no cliffhanger endings. The story is so free flowing if you are tired of dramas like mouse or beyond evil that drains you mentally then watch this one. its funny ,healing ,bringing together people from two different worlds. The drama teaches you self love and importance of healthy and communicating relations. In short it's a very relaxing, heartwarming, feelgood drama which may end up in your favourite dramas list.Take up this drama if you want in depth characters, storyline ,if you are a fan of thrilling drama fan or quirky romances chances are high that you'll drop this one. It's a slow paced romances with full of life characters. In short it's a legit ,underrated gem which needs some attention
P.s :you will get a cameo from our beloved second lead syndrome guy kim seon ho.

(NO SPOILERS HERE) I'm not sure why I positively decided to watch this drama, as the slice of life-ish plot isn't my favorite genre, but I'm grateful I picked this up. It was a good and enjoyable show. Characters were mostly super likeable and they felt very adult but at the same time childish, in a positive way. The main male (Seon-gyeom) was my favorite and I often dislike main male characters. He was just too pure and awkward but relatable. Seon-gyeom's friend Woo-shik was really cute as well and their relationship was adorable.
I also felt connected to Mi-joo as we're both Translators (lmao, who am I fooling, I'm not a translator yet, but I'm about to be) so I loved watching the scenes of her workplace and also her co-worker/friend/roommate May who was super funny.
The second couple, Dan-ah and Yeong-hwa were great as well, I loved Sooyoung's acting (Dan-ah), it's my first drama of her.
I think that's it for the characters.
9/10 - would recommend if you want to watch something light-hearted & not tragic, something that you don't have to deeply think about. Love it.
(SPOILERS HERE) Now, what I liked the most is that there was no toxic love triangle. Not sure if this counts as spoiler though. I think the trope of the girl choosing between two men is just not for me anymore, I can't take it. Especially because you always know who she's gonna end with. It would be funnier if she kinda played around with both of them but no, she never shows any affection up until Episode 14 & it's only a kiss to the guy we knew she was gonna end up with.
So yeah, that's why I enjoyed watching two couples that don't intertwin (in a romantic way) and stay in their own lanes without being that complicated. Great writing.
I also appreciated that final scene when Dan-ah sort-of apologizes to Ye-jun about the whole lying about being gay situation. I think it's nice that she recognized it was ''wrong'' to just fake your sexual orientation to ''have it easier'' when in reality that's not the case, at least in Korea. The whole arc between Ye-jun and Yeong-hwa had a realistic end to it- it was never gonna happen, but I'm happy they remain as friends.
I have to say that I also thought that (at some point) Woo-shik was in love with Seon-gyeom, I don't know, I wonder if someone else thought about this haha.
I guess that's it. Thanks if you read the whole thing. You must be bored..

Fantastic rom-com that delivers in every aspect!
Such a wonderful atypical drama! With a great script, excellent acting, and a well-executed story, I could not find any flaws! Some may say that the show is a bit slow-moving, but for me, the pace is good, especially when this is a character-driven series. The dialogue between the characters is witty, unpredictable, and unconventional. Conversations often start on one thread and then get derailed as the characters focus on something else before they get back on track. I love the honesty and, in a way, the lack of filter between the characters. Often, someone would say something so unexpected that it raised the scene to a whole new level for me. Also, there are some epic scenes where the show balances so well between humor and poignancy. Visually, the drama is a feast for the eyes because no matter who you look at - either Oh Mi Joo, Seon Gyeom, Dan Ah, or Young Hwa, the good looks are blinding. At first glance, one may think that the male and female leads represent the "rich boy poor girl" trope, and on the flip side, the secondary couple is the "poor boy rich girl" story. However, there's nothing stereotypical about the characters. Each character is complex, with multiple layers to their personalities. Mi-Joo may be poor, but she does not do things just for the money. In fact, her motivation is often driven by her sense of fairness. She believes in her own self-worth and values herself above everything else. She may be frustrated with her life situation, but she is dedicated to her job as a translator. As for Seon Gyeom, he fascinates me. He is straightforwardly blunt and says things that may seem uncaring or cold, but his delivery and expression make him come across more as naïve and adorably curious. He is charismatic and 100% committed to doing what's right. Together, this couple fit so well, and you cannot help but cheer for them during their happy moments and cry with them when they suffer. Same thing for our other couple, Dan Ah and Young Hwa who have the more fun and quirky Noona romance. Dan Ah appears to be strong and have it all together but under her tough defiance lies a vulnerability that stems from the unfairness of being a female in her family. Young Hwa is the perfect counterpart to Dan Ah, so sweet and optimistic and in contrast to all three really, so open-hearted. His never-ending jars of honey are a source of constant comic relief.
Lucky for us audience, this show got it right with the casting, and some pairings just work. Shin Se Kyung and Im Shi Wan have the "it" factor, and their chemistry is palpable. I have liked Shin Se Kyung since I saw her in Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung, and she again impressed me in this show. This is my first time watching Im Shi Wan, but together with Se Kyung, Choi Soo Young, Kang Tae Oh, and the rest of the cast, everybody killed it! The acting was on point, and I have to single out Im Shi Wan for a job well-done, especially in his micro-expressions. I am officially his fan now!
I totally loved the vibe of this show! Since I watched this show while it was airing, I would definitely re-watch the whole thing, probably in a binge session. Music-wise, the OST is catchy and enjoyable.
Overall, the show has totally lived up to my expectations, and there are a depth and uniqueness to the series that I find satisfying in every episode. It has done an superb job balancing the two romances with comedy while delivering great content through the character development of those involved.

Suprisingly sweet drama with a refreshing take on rom com!
The beauty of this drama for me was the romantic subplot between Seo Dan and Lee Young. That was pure FIRE! Their chemistry and banter were just amazing. I also love the rendering qualities of the main lead. He played the naive, innocent, and Asperger-y character to perfections! I'm also glad I waited for all of the episodes to come out before I continued. I was watching it when it began but around episode 4 I got bored. Slice of life drama is better binged watched than waiting every week for 2 episodes. I wasn't expecting much from this drama but dare I say that it was a nice surprise to have it be a solid, well-acted, and refreshing take on the room com K drama section. 2020 and 2021 have not been the kindest when it came to fun, watchable, exciting K dramas and though I wouldn't call this exciting, it definitely delivers in the fun and watchable! Was this review helpful to you?
One of the most horribly written characters and plot I've experienced in a K-drama.
You can only do so much, even with a talented cast. I came into this show after watching the female lead in another show titled "Female Historian," I thought we would get the same caliber of acting and plot, but boy was I wrong. For some reason, the male lead is written as an extremely dimwitted and dense character. It's almost as if they decided he was born at 20 and just barely learning social development skills. Granted, most k-dramas take this route, but it's usually a lead character who is anti-social and only opens up when a female lead piques their interest. In this case, the male lead himself is just dense af. There really is no other word for it. There are numerous cringe-worthy lines, along with awkward writing and meetups that it becomes an abomination by the 6th episode. In fact, the sixth episode is perhaps the worse written of them all.To make it worse, the male lead acts in a robotic manner with a puzzled "why am I here" look 90 percent of the time. It's infuriating cause there are moments where he acts in a normal manner and stems to be a person who does more for others than himself. The problem is that information is withheld within characters. No one says why they're doing what they're doing, or gives corrections to rumors (except for his fake actress relationship), but instead, hold back info that is counterproductive to their social lives. It makes absolutely no sense. Then when the characters revert to a pre-social development stage, it's when you seriously want to throw the remote at the screen.
For what it's worth though, Ms. Seo or Dan/Dahn is perhaps the absolute best reason to keep watching the show if you must. Her beauty, story, and acting come together for what little material she has to work with. Her love story also overshadows the main leads. To have found this actress is the only reason why I'm glad I checked in.

We need season 2!
I'm doing this because i really love this kdrama. All the actors and actresses did really well. The ending is nice but i am expecting something natural. But since it did not happen im hoping it will have a second season. If the anime has a slice of life genre. I also find this one that kind of genre too.If you will watch this but you are looking for a good review first then this is your sign. Watch it. This drama has everything. Good looking cast? This has. Good acting cast? This has. Funny roommate? This has. (Dont get me wrong what i meant "everything" is that they have what im looking for" It may not has a good start but it will become really good after watching a few episodes.
Btw i only submitted a review because this kdrama is underrated and i want more people to watch it.

THE WHOLE SHOW
okay, i dont even know where to start... i cant remember why i decided to watch this show but i did and was fucking excited when i knew it would be on netflix idk if i binge watched it or what but i watched the whole show and i liked it so much, it became one of my favorite drama.ive actually rewatched once and a half, because i gotta be honest. i HATE everytime on dramas they do that thing of separating the main relationship because of their parents, specifically if one of them are rich (seongyeom in this case) and i hate it because they are supposedly soo in love but the second seongyeom's dad tell mijoo she shouldnt be near his son she ends everything with him??? and its kind of annoying
anyways, i think danah's character is kind of irritating too if i think of it because she was cruel with everyone around her and she thought she was always right??? like, i get if you dont like your step brother but i think her hate towards him was quite unnecessary
I LOVED SIWAN IN THIS DRAMA he was hilarious, making funny comments, making fun of his friends and even of mijoo and also his personality?? like, because we're kind of used to watch mmc that are full of themselves?? and stuff like that but seongyeom wasnt, because he had low steem and people are like that too!! and its okay, that made him look more real to me
on a side note i wanna praise the person who wrote the dialogue for this show because as a writer (or something like that) they are funny to me and also something that inspires me to write better and i think the characters were well made too?? idk much about this stuff but maybe danah's character was made to not having a redeem arc and maybe thats okay because in reality, not all people change
