Same two A list Korean actors act together when they were young. Two really really good actors. Natural, always some humor, action, tragedy,. The acting make you speechless. Even forgot that they were acting.

The three make characters consist of good and bad and weird. Some intensity, show that people can cross the line, the bad can be good. Different profession or personality can join force.

The Thieves and TGTBTW both have same theme. In The Thieves casino is target and in TGTBTW a treasure is target. Both are action packed thrillers with perfect amount of comedy.

Both films are obviously works of passion, where everyone involved is not only qualified, but having a blast making them because they want to, and if someone else happens to enjoy them, great, and if not, it doesn't matter, because they are making them for themselves.

Despite being completely different films in terms of scenario and the exact, particular way the gags may be delivered, they are both comedies with the writing sharing this distinctly similar style of what feels like amphetamine-infused absolutely chaotic humor, managing to consistently deliver gags where just as you begin to laugh and think something was the punchline, they fake you out by immediately increasing the octave of absurdity and hitting you with the real joke.

They are seemingly both quite self-aware, and neither's plot really intentionally exists for any reason beyond being a footnote to explain the purpose of the what is unravelling; the stories and scenarios are essentially just backdrops for actors to display their really solid grasp of comedic timing, delivery, and body language, and their understanding of physical humor.

If you enjoy the feel of one, you will likely enjoy the vibe of the other. Similarly, if you find the relatively non-stop scene after scene over stimulating, you may feel the same about the other.
