Wen Ke Xing apologizes for his maid's actions to Zhou Zi Shu. But, he recognizes his martial arts technique as one from the Four Seasons Manor, and suspecting his true identity, decides to follow him. Zhang Cheng Ling offers his name card to Zi Shu as he considers him a new found friend and would like to help him. Zi Shu pays a visit to the Mirror Lake Sect Manor and runs away without paying the boatman for his ride. His journey is however intercepted by the sudden appearance of Wen Ke Xing, who duels with him and showers praises on him, much to his annoyance. The Chief of the Mirror Lake Sect, Zhang Yu Sen is wary of the Five Lakes Alliance, despite being a part of it. He warns his elder son to take care of his younger brothers as he forsees a power struggle involving the Glazed Armor in the future. That night, the Ghost Valley attacks the Mirror Lake Sect, murdering everyone and torturing the Chief and his two sons for the Glazed Armor. Zhang Cheng Ling escapes with the help of boatman Li and Zi Shu helps them fight off the ghosts. He sees Wen Ke Xing resting atop a building while he escapes. Boatman Li rows them away, but they are followed by the Ghost Valley. Zi Shu, still sick from the Seven Nails of Torment has to rest for a while and Boatman Li helps buy him time. They are saved by Gu Xiang and Wen Ke Xing once again. A dying Li asks Zhou Zi Shu to take Cheng Ling away to Sanbai Manor as a repayment for getting away without paying for the boat ride. Zi Shu gives his name as Zhou Xu when asked and Li entrusts Cheng Ling's safety in his hands. Wen Ke Xing recognizes that Zhou Xu is in disguise. He attempts to get friendly with him.
